Trial Portege R830 - 10V Bluetooth drivers 30 days

Hi all

I own a copy of Windows 7 ultimate.

So I reinstalled my new laptop to this more advanced version of Windows.
Now, I just realized that my Bluetooth software that I downloaded from the Toshiba site, is only a 30 day trial version.

I chose the wrong driver or I buy it?

Best regards
Denis

Hi mate

BT stack driver is not limited to users who have installed it and use it on Toshiba laptops.
Check this document:
http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/FAQ81021V0000R01.htm

+ If you use a non Toshiba Bluetooth adapter (a "dongle" USB or card PC Bluetooth, for example), the adapter may stop working and the following message may appear: +.
+ "Bluetooth Manager: thank your for the evaluation of battery Bluetooth for Windows by Toshiba." The evaluation period has expired. You can purchase a license for this version of Bluetooth Stack for Windows by Toshiba. " +
+ This message is intended for third-party developers of Bluetooth adapters, but may appear if you use such an adapter with the Toshiba Bluetooth Stack - rather than with the stack of the manufacturer of the adapter. The third-party Bluetooth adapter can operate with the battery Toshiba Bluetooth, but only for a 30 days evaluation period. +
+ For your Bluetooth adapter is working again, you must install the battery correct Bluetooth from the manufacturer of the Bluetooth adapter. +

I found this here on this Toshiba BT Portal

  • Portege R830-10V - connection UMTS falls down very often

    Hi all
I have a SIM card in my laptop I've used in a netbook before Samsung. With the netbook, the link never broken. But with the 10V, happens every 20 or 30 minutes. When the connection is lost, I have to restart the laptop to connect again. If I try to click on windows again that nothing happens to connect in the Network Center. After a few minutes, a message windows cannot connect to the network.
The laptop shows that the quality of the network is good.

I have reviewed the parameters of connection of the netbook and transferred to the r830-10V but it does not help. I also disabled all energy saving options. For me, it seems to be a driver issue, but I'm not sure.

You need a compatible player SATA SSD 2.5.

  • Portege R830-10V - DVD drive makes strange noises

    Hi all
I just bought this machine and registered the following question:

If I put in a portable DVD starts very strong buzz. This noise disappears if I put a finger on the reader. In addition, the DVD player starts to chat if I press the keys above the player as the arrow keys. Bothers me a lot.

I called Toshiba support and they said that they can pick up the laptop. But it is possible that this service costs because maybe this problem is part of the specification.

You have any ideas? What can I do?
    Best regards
    Denis

    Hi Denis_3,

Have you noticed this problem with different CD and DVD or just a medium? In General, I also noticed the same behavior, but sometimes just with one disk, so the problem is the drive itself in most cases.

On this path through the forum it s is not easy to say what the reason is but if it s associated with CD/DVD player and the reader needs replace it will cost you nothing because it s during the warranty. Of course, for out of warranty repairs, you must make ;)

  • Need to check the update of the BIOS Portege R830 without Intel TXT

    Hello Forum,

I have exactly the same problem as described here 2 years ago:
    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=65519

I need to update my BIOS, but I can't because the update of the BIOS told me that the Intel TXT is enabled.
Unfortunately I can not disable it in my bios. Its just not selectable. The 'cursor' jumping just above him.
I can only 'hide' which does not help.
I have the same thing for the VT - x and VT - d setting in the BIOS. Is not selectable or editable as well.

    TPM is not active if...
I installed after infineon and he tells me I need to enable the TPM in the bios to use. :-(

I have a very old Bios Version 3.1 and I read in the changelog that there are a lot of TPM in v 3.4 and 3.5 related changes...

    In any case...
A P007Dv360A_EC77V140.zip file has been transferred to 2shared.com who fixed it at the time, a user named Paolo30.
Unfortunately, that this file has been deleted on 2shared.com

can someone please provide this file (or an update of the bios later) which resolves this issue?
    Thanks in advance.

  • Portege R830 had dead blue when the screen connects to wifi or shared internet

It seemed began as soon as the automatic update from Microsoft on Qualcomm, Atheros, every time when connect to any WIFi, share internet, my portege R830 shows blue screen and the following error message:
    unhandled system_thread_exception (athwb.sys)

I found that I am not the isolated on the Web site. I tried to remove and stop updates. However, once I connect to the internet, the blue screen comes back.

Is the problem because of the network adapter? The model is Qualcomm Atheros AR9002WB
Can solve the problem if I download the new driver of Qualcomm-Atheros site? Or if I replace a new adapter?

The athwb.sys file belongs to the Atheros wireless driver. Usually placed in C:\Windows\System32\drivers\athwb.sys
It seems that in your case this file causing the BSOD.

I found a very interesting detail about this problem and why it seems.

  • Portege R830 - fingerprints fingerprints are more recognized

    Hello

Last week, I bought a Portege R830. I registered my 2 index fingers and everything has worked fine for about 2 days. Now when I put my index fingers, the utility no longer recognizes my impressions, neither one.

How can I delete the prints and start again? I tried to go to the utility, but since it does not recognize my impression, it does not give me access.

    TIA
    Patricia

Start the utility of fingerprinting as an administrator and click the button "delete all traces of fingers. He may need to enter a password to give you access.

If you don't remember the password, you may have to send the laptop in to a Service Center for Toshiba to remove fingerprints.

  • Portege R830 - problems of 3G connection after installing Win 7 32 bit

    Hello

I went down a Portege R830 Windows 7 64 bit for Windows 7 32 bit with drivers of Toshiba. I put a SIM from my provider.
In the windows Network Manager, 7 and in the Toshiba Wireless Manager I can see the right provider and HSPA network but when I start the connection, it does not (I don't have a PIN code).

It is failed with Windows 7 Network Manager and Manager Toshiba wireless (I don't have this problem with the Portege R700 windows 7 32bits)

But I found a small solution (but I think that's not enough):
    I have created a dial-up connection, with a number * 99 #,.
I started the connection, it does not happen, but after that, when I raise my first connection is good.

I don't know why, it's as if the modem is in sleep and the dial-up connection wake-up the modem, because after all is good (win7 Network Manager, Manager wireless Toshiba) so if I reboot the Portege.

I want to avoid the dial-up connection on my r700 portege with 32-bit windows 7

Thanks for your help and sorry for my English.

  • Sound when Portege R830 is anchored and display lid is closed

I have a fairly new Toshiba Portege R830 laptop (PT321E-01E00YEN) who don't use speakers integrated if it is placed in a dock with the closed laptop screen or the microphone.

This causes problems when you try to work from only an external monitor, but when I flip the lid open, it works fine.

I am using a replication of port II (PA3916B) and once installed a month ago, all device etc drivers has been updated to the lasted available so I think that there is a software configuration option that just needs to check or disabling.

No one knows where that might be?

I test this on an another older duplicator that has been purchased for a R700-15R and have exactly the same problem, so I don't think it is hardware related.

Any help would be greatly appreciated :-)

Please don't get me wrong, but to me this behavious seems logical. When you close the lid internal speaker and microphone placed close to the cam are blocked so I don't know how you want to use.
When the laptop is closed and set aside, it's almost the same as the office. All devices that you need should be connected to the docking station and external devices.

If you use your laptop on a regular route, but they also appear external to office extension, you can use all the internal devices to your laptop.

In my opinion the point of berthing of the use of the station of different devices to your laptop, but using the docking station, you can remove the laptop and take it with you without disconnection of all connected devices, including the power supply.

To be honest, I see here no problem. You can contact Toshiba service nearest and ask for opinions, but I'm sure the answer will be the same.
