  Subscription does not have any serial number. Please use your Adobe ID to update the licensed software.

  Nope. There is no option of catering for older versions. Run the installation of your discs as you have already planned it. You must also run the Acrobat cleaning tool.

  You restart the system.

  Then reinstall acrobat 9 from the mentioned link: download Acrobat 8 and Acrobat 9
