  I am new to this so forgive me if the question was already asked. I just bought a Satellite U200-170, it was the last in the store and I don't didn't want to wait 2 weeks to get the laptop so I bought the showroom model (which is in perfect condition). I did format the laptop because the store made 2 partitions Eaglets, I didn't. So when I was formatting the pc I have inserted the cd recovery (part 1/2) and the pc boots with all the necessary drives and utilities.

  Subsequently I have insert (part 2/2) recovery cd but nothing happened so I thought that all utilities and drives has been on the first cd. Now the problem is that I have a few problems when I want to stop the laptop. The types of crashes screen when windows stops so I have to manually shut down the laptop by pressing the key.   Please check your recovery CD to see if they are labeled as the 1/2 and 2/2 Recovery CD. You must also have a CD "tools and utilities" that contains various Toshiba Utilities and extras.

  If you do not have 2 Recovery CD then the complete installation process should ask you to change the first CD while the ANDS process loading install, after which the installation continues to load the second CD.

  I have a Satellite U200 - 10 d running Vista Business Edition. When I attach an external display screen flickers (horizontal lines on the screen)... It's worse when you move the mouse on the screen. The monitor on the laptop is fine I just have problems with the external display.

  I am the owner of a SATELLITE U200 and I would use it with an external LCD display.

  On page B-4, you will find a list of the supported screen resolution and I must say that the resolution 1920 x 1080 is not taken in charge.
