Satellite U200 - problem WCZ

When I click on my wireless connection icon for a list to view available wireless networks, that he told me that WCZ is not running.

I checked in the services and WZC is running and set to automatic.
I tried to stop and restart. No joy. I've updated the drivers. No joy.

There is no 3rd party software installed that is controlling the wireless network but WZC will simply not work.

Cannot find anything on Google regarding this.

> Is not really an option that the software is not installed.
This means that you use your own installation of WXP and not the Toshiba recovery image?

Also, why do you not use several drivers? This laptop comes with some WLAN card and Toshiba offers the driver for each wireless network card. So, it is not necessary to install several drivers.
What U200 do you have?

  • Problem occurred down the Satellite U200-170

    Hello

I am new to this so forgive me if the question was already asked. I just bought a Satellite U200-170, it was the last in the store and I don't didn't want to wait 2 weeks to get the laptop so I bought the showroom model (which is in perfect condition). I did format the laptop because the store made 2 partitions Eaglets, I didn't. So when I was formatting the pc I have inserted the cd recovery (part 1/2) and the pc boots with all the necessary drives and utilities.

Subsequently I have insert (part 2/2) recovery cd but nothing happened so I thought that all utilities and drives has been on the first cd. Now the problem is that I have a few problems when I want to stop the laptop. The types of crashes screen when windows stops so I have to manually shut down the laptop by pressing the key. How to solve this problem.

I would also like to know what is on the second recovery CD.

    HI Grace,

Please check your recovery CD to see if they are labeled as the 1/2 and 2/2 Recovery CD. You must also have a CD "tools and utilities" that contains various Toshiba Utilities and extras.

If you do not have 2 Recovery CD then the complete installation process should ask you to change the first CD while the ANDS process loading install, after which the installation continues to load the second CD.

    Kind regards

  • Compatible DVD player problem on Satellite U200

I'm in Iraq and my Commander quit on the laptop Satellite U200 cd player. The drive there was UJDA765 that cannot burn the DVD. The problem with this drive is it renounce collect the DVD and the CD part only worked a certain time and then makes noise.

I tried a compatible DVD burner replace it and found b UJ-822. Several sites said it was compatible and I found people who say they were using. Can someone tell me if it really is? I already had the drive delivered here. Is there something I need to do to get the laptop to see? It does not appear in the hardware section, but it has the power and opens and closes correctly. I moved to the point to consider flashing the bios, I have done that several times, but see not all the benefits like the changes in the new BIOS.

If I was wrong, can someone tell me a compatible DVD burner?

Satellite U200, to use two compatible optical disk drives:

    DVD-ROM & CD - R / RW drive UJDA765
DVD Super Multi Double layer recording UJ-842

So if you want to order again, take another. You must have the super multi, and you will be able to burn all CD/DVD formats.

Good luck boyfriend and take care of you.

  • Satellite U200 - 1920x1080@64Hz on the external LCD screen resolution problem

I am the owner of a SATELLITE U200 and I would use it with an external LCD display.

The external monitor supports up to 1920x1080@64Hz.

When I select the 1920x1080@64Hz option in the properties of the screen, I get an image enlarged and out of range of the scale. However, by selecting 1400x1050@60Hz seems to work very well.

My question is: is there anyway I can get the 1920x1080@64Hz option working properly?

It s nice that your monitor supports the screen resolution 1920 x 1080, but you should check your owner's manual.

On page B-4, you will find a list of the supported screen resolution and I must say that the resolution 1920 x 1080 is not taken in charge.
    You can select 1920 x 1440 but not 1920 x 1080.

Sorry, but the material doesn't supports his screen resolution.

  • Satellite U200 - sound does not work after the installation of Win8.1

    Hello guys,.

I have some old Satellite U200-165. I installed windows 8.1 Enterprise assessment successfully after that I changed the hard drive SSD, but the sound does not work. Windows showing that his work perfectly, but it does not come out.

    An advise please.

Satellite U200 is a pretty old and not supported for Win8 or Win8.1 machine. I think that we have no report on this forum how this old piece of equipment works with Win8.

If the sound card is properly installed, have you checked all the sound settings?
I presume that the same problem is with a headset, right?

    Hi all
I installed XP x 64 edition on top of my box Satellite U200-181.
I'm in trouble, looking for drivers for sound, modem, bluetooth stack and modules of the fingerprint scanner.
Anyone who guide me on where can I get the x 64 drivers will be appreciated.

    Altug

    Hello

Unfortunately these drivers are not available on the Toshiba download page, but you can consult the site of material parts manufacturer.

    BT stack, you can download under http://aps.toshiba-tro.de/bluetooth/ > download > Windows XP x 64 / Windows Vista x 64 > version 5.10.01

    Sound card is: AD1981HD
For other things to two, you can have problems. Check on Google for modem (Modem Chip Scopio - Agere AC 97/HD).

Sorry, but everything what s that I discovered.

  • Satellite U200 - 181 built-in HDD ERROR

"Toshiba Satellite U200-181", I bought 2 weeks ago. Recently (2-3 days ago) I have problem with built-in HARD drive.

So the problem is that sometimes I get the "Built-in HARD drive ERROR" message when starting the laptop. This integrated "Disk ERROR" message appears from time to time and the system shuts down the HARD drive starts, but can start from other bootable devices. First time where the built-in "Disk ERROR" message took place, he was accompanied by a lot of strange pop sound beating from the inside of the laptop. All others

"HARD disk ERROR" messages were not so strong and strange beating pops, but always with some pop sounds (not as strong as the premiere).

To identify possible problems, I saved S.M.A.R.T. data log (see annex 1).

Additional information: after I bought the laptop I ve made successful update BIOS version 1.40 version 1.50 strictly according to Toshiba site official instructions. After BIOS upgrade system works well, no ERRORS, no exceptions. But 3 days ago I received the message"built-in HARD disk ERROR '."

    Any ideas? Thank you.

To my knowledge, the error sometimes because the BIOS can not find the HARD drive as a source of start-up. Perhaps because of the loss of connection or / and a malfunction of the HARD drive.

  • Incorrect operating system on the new recovery disc - Satellite U200-115

I have a Toshiba Satellite U200-115 model No.PLUA0E - 0970372N which ran from Windows XP Professional. Stupidly, I decided to reformat the hard disk to clean. When I got to use my original recovery disk I found that it was badly scratched and unusable. I just got a new recovery disk, but he installed Windows Vista not what the machine came with.

It says "this copy of Windows is not genuine" and that the "product key is invalid for activation. I don't have a product key for Vista only for XP Professional!
    What should I do now?

    > What should I do now?
Is your laptop comes with WXP Pro. In my opinion, you should communicate with Bertelsmann (https://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/landing.aspx) and ask what is the problem.

  • Satellite U200 with Win XP - utility to change device display does not work

    Hello

I think there was nothing wrong with its installation since I encounter the same problem.

New installation of win XP on a satellite U200 Pro.
Windows XP Home edition upgrade to sp3 immediately. Then downloaded all the drivers based on serial number of the toshiba Web site and then installed in the same order as shown in the list of installation but I get the same error as sjoemie1 when I tried to install "hotkey to display" etc.

SOMEONE KNOWS HOW TO REINSTALL THESE TWO FILES?

    Hello

The v6.05.00 of the common Modules for Win XP should be installed in the first place.

In addition, there are two tools called

    * Utility Hotkey to display v3.4.4.1 - XP devices *.

    and

    * View edit the v2.3.0.0 device *.

The two part of the software allows you to display on screen LCD LCD + CRT or CRT mode by pressing Fn + F5

So if you have problems to install the first utility, forget it and try another.

Here, you can find information about what cards/memory are compatible and taken care of.

To my knowledge the media bridge slot supports the
-SD card (sd and SDIO card meory card)
-Memory stick and Memory Stick Pro (but not the Memory Stick Duo or Duo Pro!)
    -xD Picture card

  • Satellite U200 - 10K will beep continuously

    Hallo,

When I run the satellite U200 - 10K (Vista), from the start, it gives me continuous beep... beepppppp... I can work... I can open applications, but the beep is not going offf. What could be a reason possible to this problem, hardware / software?
I have not installed new software on this system?

    Aerts

    Hello

These beeps are rare! Normally, the laptop would beep if the BIOS detects an error. But this beep should not appear constantly and the laptop will not start!

I can't believe that this issue could be also related to software installed on the laptop.
In my opinion, the laptop must be verified by a service provider authorized in your country.
One question; have you tried to recover the laptop with the supplied restore CD?
This procedure would fix the laptop back to the factory settings. If the tones will not stop, I think that there is something wrong with the hardware.

But don t worry buddy! The guarantee must be valid and would cover everything!
