  I just started to learn labview so please do not judge my messy programming

  I want to constantly measure certain values (humidity, temperature, etc.) and once a certain threshold is crossed, I want to activate a device. Measure and activating things works perfectly if used separately. If I combine it and measure for awhile (10 samples at 100 Hz continuous playback mode) I get the error 200279 "attempted to read samples that are no longer available.

  If I use (100 samples to read 100 Hz n samples) it measures for some time (interrupted manually after 4 hours), but I recognized that there was a gap of time of half an hour between the timem system and the 'real' time shown in the table.

  Oh, and this isn't really critical time. It is enough if it measures one sample per 5 seconds or more.

  Is there a quick fix and dirty for this?

  You must use ": MEASU:MEAS %dto?" to get your data (put the number in the %d).  You ask in fact that the max best scope value recorded.  It can keep some statistics on measures.  Here are the commands that I use to get the data (even once, replace %d by the number of measure):

  Try to run Photoshop without loading third-party plug-in. hold SHIFT keys when you start Photoshop.  The missing module is not Adobe software.

• Simultaneous measurement

  I'm reasonably sure that all C series in a cRIO modules should be able to input/output simultaneous however, I want to confirm this and there are several models that not explicitly said in their data sheets.  These models are the NI 9213 Thermocouple, NI 9402 and NI 9403 DIO cards.  I guess they should all allow concurrent access on all channels, but I would rather confirm this with people who have used them before ordering devices.

  I read your question in two different ways...

  I CAN input and output at the same time on these modules?

  The 9213 has no output, so it's a moot point. For the DIO 9402 and 9403 modules and most, then Yes, you can make entry and exit at the same time. You can confirm that open a project, add the module in the series C for a project, then go to the properties of this module. If you configure the channels separately, then Yes. Some modules to define both a whole port or module inputs/outputs, and these all would not O capabilities and I at the same time.

  These modules sample at the same time?

  Very few of our analog modules sample at the same time and they are usually called Dynamic Signal Acquisition (DSA) module - 9233, 9234, 9237 are examples. They have an ADC dedicated for each channel, so we can draw a measure of each of them at a time. Most of the other modules, as the 9213 you mentioned, have a single ADC and a multiplexer to analyze each of the channels one after the other, although very fast. So even if you can ask a FPGA node to read 8 channels both module, samples are actually slightly out of phase due to multiplexing. For digital modules, without multiplexing is required.

  Hi Jepser.

  I presume the USB-6009 case is the measure of the unit of light sensitivity. Is the signal of the digital camera? What is the calendar requriments for your application?

  There is a generation to check on USB-6009 and that you can use for edge counting applications. By counting the edges and store the timestamp for each edge in Labview you can then calculate the time between edges.

• Name of the file and the measure in the same table?

  I wrote the following VI which opens each image file in a folder and measure a certain size on the image. He then puts the result in a table.

  The table has a column and N lines since I N images in my folder. How can I change this VI so that it puts the name of the file in the same table as well as the measurement?

  You cannot use the Table Express. Like the properties page says: this is for digital data. You will need to use a bit of real LabVIEW to create the table. A table is simply a string 2D array. Convert the digital chain, build an array of 1 d of the filename and numberic strings and use a shift register to build a 2D array. Something like the code below.

  9211 entry record indicates the tension... measuring range ± 80 mV

   

  A quick check on Omega web page http://www.omega.com/temperature/z/pdf/z204-206.pdf indicates this combination will be easilly cover your range of operation.

  I'm quite familiar with the coding for NOR-DAQ boards in Labview. What worries me with labview, is that each tick is about milliseconds. I intend to retrieve the data simultaneously from 32 channels at 2 MS/s/chan using SMU 6368 s. Wouldn't not possible to enter data, on average 20 to 50 samples to get a unique value, perform simple algebraic manipulations on it and send it to the PC / software to approximately tens of kHz? We already have labview code to perform similar tasks, but it is quite slow and limiting the rate of experience. I said that Simulink is slightly better than Labview in this regard, but suffers a poor user interface and that if something C/C++ offers the ability to perform at high speeds with the same cards OR data acquisition. Could someone advise me please on this issue?

• Switch between triggered and untriggered AO: must clear the task each time?

  I use August to produce a range of sine values sent several times to help to allow regeneration, with samples finished, that is launched by a trigger. Call it a group.

  One trial involves hundreds of groups. But there are gaps between them where other devices do things. In this gap, I also change the values of the sine table and then restart (awaiting release). I would use just the task Stop and Start Task live for it.

  The complication is that I want the area of OCCUPANCY to a specific value in the gap between the groups, which might not be the last value in the array. I want a way to say: once you have completed the task, do the AO to X sit until you press the trigger to start next. Since I'm on regeneration, I can't just set on the end of the matrix of normal results.

  Is there a way to do this without erasing the task is triggered, creation of a new task untriggered, set the value of the then delete again, creating a new task triggered, ect., hundreds of times she's going around the loop?

  In case anyone else wants to try something similar, you can't actually transition between two tasks, with the same (lines) means using VI DAQmx stop task simply because resources are always reserved.

  Instead, I replaced the task to stop the VI DAQmx control task with action defined as "Cancel". Can I cancel a task, and then start another and so come and go without the need to erase or create tasks every time (the same idea could be used for any number of tasks in the same sense, if I only have two).

  I tested by meassuring the analog output and it seems to work, no error is reported in the code.

  Can you use the 6230 for closed measures the differential and unique at the same time?  Only 2 measures for Diff and 10 for itself?  What do I have to configure it somehow in MAX?

  Of course, you can mix the types of channels, although the 6230 has only 4diff/8se and not the number you mention. You can do it in MAX or in your code. In MAX, just select the configuration of terminal for each channel. I know not what programming language used because you don't mention it, but if it is LabVIEW, you use just a function separate from DAQmx create channel for different channels and themselves. Don't forget to take into account that each diff channel requires two real physical channels. So, if you select ai0 for diff, which also uses ai4.
