Trouble visualizing Bluray movies

Hello

I have a hp dv5t with Optiarc BD5500S Bluray player. I'm able to watch normal DVDs, but not the BankJob movie (it's the first bluray dvd I tried). HP Quickplay plays the trailers but not the actual film, the menu, but I can not click on 'Play movie' or other options. I have HP Quickplay 3.7 verys Zion.

Although I have updated to the latest version 3.7.v6112. QuickPlay said that there is an update available.

Any help appreciated.

Well I have a solution to the first problem, at least.  I don't know your.

There is a known issue with all Blu - Ray players, running on HP laptops.  You can not click on 'play', but you can use the arrow keys to select it, then press on enter, or use a remote control if your laptop comes with a.

This can sometimes be corrected with an update of the firmware of bluray player or an update of the BIOS, if it can be fixed at present.  Depends on the Blu - ray player on the laptop.

I'm really desperate to have this job. Happy help out me

If it is a file HDV captured on Mac and open in QuickTime format, the file cannot be opened. The component for HDV is not included in the Windows of QuickTime 7 Pro version. Most people buy the XD calibrated {Q} plugin to do what you want: http://www.calibratedsoftware.com/qxd.asp

You can also open the file on Mac and transcode a friendly codec to PC.

  • BluRay will not play

    Hi guys N gals.

I recently bought a laptop HPdv51183cl, complete with training Optiaric BD rom BC - 5500 s, graphics card Geforce 9600 GMT invidia, 2 x Intel (r) Core 2 duo CPU P7350@2ghz and a 320 HD.

Infact, the only thing I can do is to stop the disc and eject the disc. The software installed to play Bluray is Quickplay, which launches automatically. I have updated the software of 3.7.5822. but still no joy. I even downloaded Arcsoft total medai player 3.5 at the request of a techie of HP, but it won't even throw the disc.

I talked to a HP technician online and through various software installs, uninstalls and reinstalls from the date of purchase, but nothing is done, they could not help me

    Thanks Steve

What Blue Ray movies have tried to play?

    Because:

Some discs Blu - Ray, like Spiderman 3 , won't play at all on a Blu - Ray player. Other discs Blu - Ray, like 03:10 to Yuma , will play the previews and the title menu, but pressing the play button will not play the movie.

I'm not 100% sure, but I suppose your P30 has no Video IN port. Am I wrong?
If Yes, then you must buy an external device to transfer audio and video data. If you have the time check http://www.pinnaclesys.com/PublicSite/de/Home/

I have a lenovo with bluray player w701ds when I try to play a bluray movie I get unsupported message media. Help, please

If you buy your computer with bluray included I think mediaplayer software for reading that support of bluray will be included, as well, but not 100% sure. If you add bluray after buying the computer, you will need to purchase a mediaplayer for playback software. I suppose there might be a lot of different mediaplayers available, but here are some suggestions and each of them should have support bluray. Just make sure you choose the correct edition that support of bluray. He should have a trial available for all these except that the trial of WinDVD doesn't support bluray so if you want that WinDVD for bluray playback you will not be able to try before you buy.

  • Presenter 10 - problem importing movie

Does anyone else have trouble importing a movie file using Presenter? I know that the files should be inserted through the right presenter the movie tab?

I have tried both a .avi and .mov and get an error "there was an error for the encoding of the file.

    Thanks for the help.

You have another program that allows to encode videos in FLV or MP4 format before put you in presenter? I never found the presenter conversion tool, terribly useful. Maybe it's the loss of control, but I'd rather have more options than the low, medium and high converting my videos.

If the videos are converted elsewhere, then it will remove the converter in presenter of the process and must work around this problem.

  • Is it possible to watch a Bluray on no High Def monitor?

The reason I ask is that my BD player says "format not supported in drive: / B" when a bluray movie is inserted. However, I am able to watch DVDs very well.

Your monitor is hi-def. I guarantee you. Otherwise, it would be only 640 x 480 - which observers have not been since 1985.

Your questions seems to be the media itself.

Are you sure that you have a Blu - ray disk drive on your computer?

You can browse the files on the drive with your operating system? If so, what are the files do you see?

Whence this BluRay disc? Is commercial disc or one that was created on another computer?

  • Burning BluRay PE8

I have an external BluRay burner from LG (connected with USB2).

When I want to burn a HDV (1440 x 1080i) to BluRay movie it always stops after the rendering of burning a single circle on the BluRaydisk then there ruint.

If I take the same file to Nero 9, it burns immediately successful.

This was already the case in PE7 and now in PE8 it is not improved.

    Anyone else with this problem?

    Phew!  It's a process.

I guess all of you who are interested in creating a Blu - ray disc would have a Blu - ray drive for their computer.

Assuming that it is much easier to simply insert a rewritable Blu - ray disc and click START.

Another thing to have a virtual BD drive is that one would need also to have a Blu - ray player software in order to display the virtual disk.   While most of us, the creators of "Blu - ray" can burn a BD, it plays on our computer is often something different - since the software and burning software playback are two different things.

Also... experience, I learned that to have the different varieties of burning on my "very capable computer" software is a recipe for disaster (otherwise known to video as editors: crashes and deadlocks).   One VERY nice thing about Windows 7 (which I use) is that it will allow a user to create a separate "virtual machine" in which a user can run other programs on XP when they don't get along well with operating systems more recent.  So, if someone wants to have other engines burn on their computer, I suggest strongly that they consider having Windows 7 and then the installation of these engines on the virtual drive so that they do not interfere with the first.

  • Vista 64 Bit Home Premium does not start when a disc is in the optical drive

I tried to understand this for a long time, but I thought I might as well ask for help.  I use Vista 64 - bit Home Edition Premium and the problem I have is that I cannot restart my machine if a disc is in the optical drive. Specifically, if I have a DVD or Bluray disc in the optical drive (IE a BD - ROM drive). When I restart my computer and a disk is present, the startup process is going past the initial windows screen, but that's how far it goes. My desktop (I don't have a password to connect). Initially, I thought it was a matter of priority to boot but the boot process starts from the hard drive but stops at half way through. Then, I went into the BIOS and removed the optical drive completely from the boot priority list.  But there is no change in behavior. The process stops with the only thing visible on the splash screen is a black screen and the hard drive light flashes and goes out from time to time.  I use this computer as my Home Theater PC and sometimes I have to restart my machine when a movie DVD or a Bluray movie is in the optical drive. I would appreciate any response that can help me solve this problem...

    Thanks in advance...

There may be something wrong with the files on your hard disk.  We will try to update to see if it helps:

Do a startup repair, boot from the disk Installation of Windows Vista genuine (or one that you can borrow from someone) or a recovery disc.  Here is the procedure: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial148.html.  You may need to change the BIOS to do first the CD drive in the boot sequence to boot from the CD.  To do this, hold the screen that tells you the key F to push to enter the menu start or start of installation.  Push it quickly. Make the changes, save your work and exit.  Put the CD in the drive and reboot.  When you are prompted, press any key to boot from the CD.

If you do not have a floppy disk, you can make a bootable recovery disk by using http://neosmart.net/blog/2008/windows-vista-recovery-disc-download/ with burning software like: http://www.snapfiles.com/get/active-isoburner.html and, of course, a blank CD.

If this does not resolve the problem, try the following:

To run the Bootrec.exe tool, you must start Windows RE. To do this, follow these steps (I believe you need a disc for Installation of Vista to do that, even if some Installtion OEM disc might work, but probably not all the recovery discs).

    1. put the Windows Vista installation disc in the disc drive, and then start the computer.

    2. press a key when you are prompted.

    3. Select a language, a time, a currency, a keyboard or an input method, and then click Next.

    4. click on repair your computer.

    5. click on the operating system that you want to repair, and then click Next.

    6. in the System Recovery Options dialog box, click command prompt.

    7. type Bootrec.exe, and then press ENTER.

Note If rebuilding the BCD does not resolve the startup problem, you can export and delete the BCD, and then run this option again. In doing so, you ensure that the BCD is completely rebuilt. To do this, type the following commands at the command prompt Windows RE:

    ·        bcdedit/export C:\BCD_Backup

    ·        c:

    ·        Boot CD

    ·        BCD attrib s h - r

    ·        Ren c:\boot\bcd BCD.old

    Bootrec /RebuildBcd

If this does not work, or if you do not have the disk, try EasyBCD http://neosmart.net/dl.php?id=1 and see if that works and does everything well.  Make sure what you are doing or you could mess up your boot files and you'd be in a lot of trouble.

I don't know if the problem is even caused by startup files (but it is possible if it is not the BIOS), but you'd better check and if the procedures are followed to the letter as stated there is no harm in trying.

Good luck and I hope this helps!

  • A more pleasant reading... ? A mask... ?

    Hello

I am deepening my transition from FCP to the first... and I have a few questions. I'd be happy if we can help.

1A - might seem simple, but: is there a way to prevent the creation of move the CTI in the middle of the TL, when playing back..? She is doing this since a certain level of zoom, not if I'm that a larger preview. I personally find very annoying, because ICT is a focal point for publishers. And the PP moves just off the coast. very troubling visually. A more zoomed in level, he left the TL moving while keeping ICT in the middle. Also quite disturbing. Is it possible to change this?

1 b - and when reading, if I move the CTI to another location, is not reading on... Y at - it a way to make do...?

2 is there a way to create a mask (Basic) on a clip? I've found. I often use to overwrite the contents of a screen in a clip, which allows me to play with the background layer. FCP had the 4 and 8 point garbage mask. So powerful, but still do the job. How about PP? Or do I have to go to AE, I'm done for now?

3 - further, just a quick note about the performance... Sorry, but if I just accelerate a clip (and Yes, it can happen to 1300 %,) and subsequently add a filter (as a third party plugin fxfactory)... vetoes, PP is there not more... I end up exporting the clip, and then applyuing the fx (which is really not flexible, if later I need an adjustment on that one). FCP could handle much more than that, eben on 32 bit, sorry... But maybe I missed something... ?

    Thank you!

And no, no, I will not return to the PCF, as I said before; It's just the need for speed and the first quirks that arise. I'm happy for other features that pp has, and above all, that it is more stable on MLion, that it can handle many formats etc etc...

  • format hard drive for windows and larger files, TV supports

    Hello

pls suggest me with the solution to the following problem.

I need to know what format of hard drive works with mac, windows, & TV too, even for large files and quality bluray movies

FAT32 only supports files up to a maximum size of 4 GB, which would be certainly much too small for Blu - Ray quality media.

exFAT supports files of unlimited size effectively, Mac and Windows can read and write to exFAT to format external drives but neither can boot from such a unit. If a TV or other system supports exFAT drives, you need to check yourself formatted.

NTFS supports files of unlimited size indeed, Mac can only read NTFS, it cannot format or write to NTFS, unless you get an add-on. Of course Windows supports NTFS. Again, you will need to check if your TV etc supports NTFS. If you want to add full support for NTFS to a Mac, I recommend this - https://www.paragon-software.com/home/ntfs-mac/

HFS + is the current format of Apple and new supports files of unlimited size effectively. Mac can of course read, write and format disks. Does not support the Windows as a standard HFS +, but still, you can buy an add-on for Windows Add this feature. It is extremely unlikely that a TV would support HFS +. If you want to add full support for HFS + for Windows, take a look at this - http://www.mediafour.com/software/macdrive/

There are also other formats of disc for example ZFS and BTRFS, Ext3, Ext4 and soon SATF, but in this case, they are not relevant.

Note: as indicated above, in many cases, I said 'actually unlimited', it is of course a limit, but one so great that he will strike you not for individual files, including Blu - Ray or even files UltraHD (4 k).

  • Satellite L670-1KZ - problem for a disc of 3 TB external HARD

I use 3 TB drive Seagate and WD on my Antec external box or grid of storeva very often to back up my data.

The problem is it randomely, I can't disconnect my external hard drive.

Sometimes, it works using HotSwap when connected with e-sata cable, sometimes it is said that my external HDD is still in use and request a reboot, but more dangerous, like today, nothing happens when you use this time this cursed F * tool windows 7 64-bit: "eject the disc safely" through the green icon.

I see my drive external HARD on windows Explorer, but it is completely locked and blocked, frozen. I can wait an hour, nothing changes. The problem is that when I try to reboot my laptop, it crash and I have to manually shut down.

And it's very bad, because after that, when I reconnect my external SD, I still have the same problem, the data have disappeared or are inaccessible.
If I perform a scandisk to repair the damaged cluster supposed-to-be, it hangs at X %, then, I'll have to kill the process, restart, plug the external SD. And then, no error message more, not corrupted data etc etc...
The result is sometimes, no damage, sometimes I have the bad surprise with damaged files, it's Russian roulette!

I never know if my data on my hard drive has been corrupted or not until I test, how for example an original bluray movie that will not play propely because a single m2ts file is dead.

I'm tired of living with fear or crashing 3 TB of data at any time, the 2 TB SD never never will ever face this problem.

    * Question: * is at - it solution secure to avoid this problem of ejection of the external 3 to DD permanently or do I have to change my cell phone? I don't have a PC, just my satellite.

With my thanks for your help, I'm desperate.
    Guillaume

Generally, you will not be able to eject safely the external HARD disk, if an application still accesses the HARD drive. This can be a process that runs in the background.
In this case you must close this process in order to eject the HARD disk.
In my case, I couldn't eject the HARD drive because I've downloaded some files from the external HARD drive to my cloud. I had to close all my browser windows just to eject the HARD disk.

But this does not mean that this could be the case even for your question, it may be any process that you know

  • Satellite A350-20 q - Touchpad does not

    Hello members,

I have a Satellite A350-20 q that is running a Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit operating system. The problem is with the touchpad which stops working when the laptop is connected to the
AC power supply and everything that happens, I can feel the static on the buttons near the tablet which are metallic.

The touchpad works fine when it runs on battery and it causes a lot of trouble because I move around a bit and can't take my mouse around.

I called Toshiba support, but all said, it was to replace the charger that does not make any sense to me but I try, and again, it doesn't help much.

The touchpad works very well when Vista is installed and is not updated, but once the system is fully updated it starts to cause problems and I can't yet determine which update is the cause of the problem that there are many Windows vista updates are installed.

    Help, please!
I installed all the drivers and have the latest synaptic driver installed on the system right now.

    Thank you.

    Abhishek

    > I had called support of Toshiba, but all said, it was to replace the charger that does not make any sense to me but I try, and again, it doesn't help much.

I think that this logic because the touchpad does not work ONLY when the AC adapter is connected.
    I found this thread:
    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?MessageID=141976𢪘
He has helped about the similar issue and replacement AC adapter!

    > The touchpad works very well when Vista is installed and is not updated, but once the system is fully updated it starts to cause problems and I can't determine same update is the cause of the problem that it is has many windows updates vista that are installed.

How a windows update to do the buttons on the touchpad statically? It is meaningless for me so be it hardware or software s problem

If this software (update of the OS) then deliver the power adapter should not all affect on the buttons on the touch pad but if there s a hardware problem, then the OS updates should not affect the functionality of the touchpad as well

I think that it s a strange question and you should get in touch with a local ASP (partner) in your country in order to check the touchpad.
