Troubleshoot the switch 12 with a projector or VGA monitor Acer

I connected my Acer Aspire switch 12 to a VGA monitor via a HDMI VGA adapter microphone. The switch 12 sees the second monitor, but seems unable to get a signal to start it. In this respect also disables my wireless and sometimes the mouse as well. I tried the VGA monitor with my MacBook and it works perfectly.

For me, it's a serious problem, I bought the switch to travel and give presentations in corporate meeting rooms, of which many are still equipped with legacy VGA projectors.

As a low-power machine, is inherently impossible to connect to a monitor/projector VGA switch 12, or is the problem somewhere else?

If I had to guess, I would say that the problem lies in the switching on of the conversion your HDMI cable VGA chip. I do not know the specs on the budget for food for the HDMI port, but it is probably marginal for the conduct of the conversion.

  • Troubleshoot the bad connection with router (WRT350N) and Point (WAP4400N) wireless access

    Hi all

    I have a problem and will apprecaite all the help I can get. I think I will find an answer here.

    I have a small network, Linksys WRT350N (wireless router) attached to a modem and then connected to a desktop computer and with 3 wireless laptops connected to the router. All 3 are really great to work and access the internet very well.

    Currently, I have the need to expand the network to 3 floors, so I bought 3 Points of access wireless of Linksys (WAP4400N).

    I ran 3 cables CAT5e cable from the router and which ends individually all 3 floors, the top floor is less than the router 40meters. With the cables that came in their boxes, I connected the APs to the router and I have correctly set up the 3 Access Points with them attached to the router, all 3 works perfectly (I can access wireless internet via 3-point). However when I take the points of access to the upper floors and connect cables cat5e APs no longer work but connect after some time with the message "limited connectivity".

    Why can I connect when the APs are connected to the ground floor via a short cable that came in the box and not when it is connected to put cables from the ground floor to the upper floors but rather make the "LIMITED SERVICE" message and cannot connect to the internet.

    Also if I connect the cat5e cables directly to a laptop computer on all the floors, I can connect to the internet (the work of cables fine when connected directly to a laptop computer), but when it is connected to the connection of the APs has failed and I begin to see strange IP addresses from the APs.

    Oh, one more piece of important information: when I connect cables CAT5e cable on all floors direct to a laptop I can connect to the internet (the work of cables very well when it is connected directly to a laptop) but when connected to the failed to connect APs and I begin to see strange IP addresses from the APs.

    HEPL!

    I think I have the forum a status report on my post. As I mentioned in my last post, the problem has been as a result of lower cable at my provider. The network is running smoothly. Has been in place since last week when I replaced the lower quality cat5e cable cat5e cable.

    A Board here please be careful and make sure you complete the cable. A bad end can lead to connection problems I discovered in this case when my team confidence terminated cable incorrectly.

    Network up to & operational: Linksys WRT350N router without wire + 3 Linksys Wireless Access Points WAP4400N + Modem providing access to (1 computer (cable), 6 workstations (wireless), & 5 laptops (wireless).) Network to grow shortly.

    Thanks to everyone who helped make this project a reality.

  • Configuration of the switch SGE2010P

    I am facing a problem during the installation of the switch SGE2010P with UC560. There are two switches in a SF300 and SGE2010P site. The SF300 works very well. But the SGE2010P switch is a problem. I connected the UC560 to the SF300 directly and connected SGE2010P to the SF300. In the two switches, all ports are trunk, not tagged vlan data and tag vlan voice. Switch SGE2010P is offline. Unfortunately, the phones don't work switch not which are connected to SGE2010P. Then I started shooting poorly, not marked all ports which phones are connected only to the voice vlan (vlan data excluded) and set the same ports to be the access port. Set the STP priority to zero. Now some phones work some are not. Can someone suggest what to do to fix this?

    Hi sham, by default the EMS classic switch short tree covering weight. This switch to RSTP. Secondly, you may need to manually set the fast port on all ports. Spanning interfaces of the tree then set the edge port on instead of auto.

    You said that all ports are given vlan not identified, voice vlan tagged, if that's the case, that your configuration of vlan is made. Assuming that the SF300 wearing exactly what you did on the EMS.

    In addition, you mentioned that the EMS is autonomous, check again please. If you use port 24 or 48 so that in the stacking mode, these ports do not work.

  • Portege Z10t connect to projector using VGA

    Hello.

    I'm having a problem connecting the Portege Z10t to a projector via VGA.
    The amount of the fine by HDMI.

    Resolution changes to screen for something like a 4:3 ratio.
    Then, he goes on the projector, rest for about 10 seconds then bombs.
    I tried several resolutions but no joy. We are running windows 8.1

    I tried a few different z10t and different projectors. Other laptops running windows 8.1 are very well, it seems that with the z10t.

    Any ideas? Thanks in advance

    First of all, it would be interesting to know what resolution you ve chosen for internal and external display.
    The Portege Z10T series was equipped with different views, but as far as I know the max resolution supported for all the screens should be: 1920 x 1080 px

    If you use the extended desktop, two screens (internal + projector) could use different resolution, but if you use the clone poster option then the resolution must be the same on the Internet as well as on the external display (projector).

  • Best wireless network installation with the switch TP-Link

    Hi all

    Few question numpty maybe, but what follows... We just moved to a new (larger) home with thick walls and I want to set up a new wireless network.

    The current installation is:

    Fiber cable entering the House in the basement and connected the modem to the service provider that provides 150 mb internet. I changed the capacity wireless on the ISP's modem and connecting an airport extreme (2014 model) via the LAN to the modem. The extreme is in the office but on the 3rd floor is having connection problems than you can imagine. All rooms have access points CAT5e who all meet in the basement. I have two spare Aiport express and two Apple TV that I would use. Also I bought a TP-LINK 1000mbps (16 channels) Network Switch.

    Could someone please tell how the best set-up of my home network. For example, the Airport Express to the 3rd floor connected to the switch (wired) network or to an extreme in the Office? Apple TV also connected to the network switch?

    I would like to end up with a solid wireless network that passes without problem from extreme to Express necessary each time you walk and you want to use an Apple TV for television on the ground floor and one in our room.

    Many thanks and apologies once more for this very basic question... I have expanded my front (extreme Express) wireless network but just don't know how best to use the switch.

    Thank you

    The simplest up set... which is almost always the best game in place... would be to connect the switch 16 ports to the modem/router and then connect devices to the switch. In other words, if your modem/router has 16 + Ethernet ports, the simplest network configuration would be to plug as many devices as possible directly to the modem/router.

    Other variants are possible, for example, the network might look like this:

    Internet > Modem/Router > AirPort Extreme > switch > devices... or, you can connect certain devices to ports Ethernet on the AirPort Extreme and some to the ports on the switch.  One thing to keep in mind however... If there is a problem... Troubleshooting may not be easy since it will be difficult to know where the problem actually lies.  Much easier to all have, or of possible devices, connect to the switch.

    Unfortunately, the AirPort Express devices will be of real bottlenecks on your network.  These devices are notoriously slow as well as wireless, and even if they work well, the speed will be does not exceed 100 Mbps... since it's the speed of the port to the AirPort Express.  In fact, I expect each Express to provide a wireless signal in the range of 50-60 Mbps.

    Another thing to keep in mind of the wireless network is that Macs will usually a good work of tilting automatically to the point of wireless to the other as moving from one place to the other in the House... but the iPhones, iPads, PCs, and other mobile devices will do that very well... If they do at all.

    So with these devices, you will need to get used to temporarily disable the WiFi on the device and the device when you move in one region to the other, and then turn WiFi on must generally then pick up the signal from a nearby wireless access point.

    Make a backup of each phone to iTunes or iCloud (do not forget to use your Apple ID or personal computer), then do whatever your carrier wants do you to change numbers if that's your intention, then restore these backups on the device of the "other."

  • Can I configure NISE with a switch of party - if the switch is not installed?

    I've never used NOR Switch before Executive - we hope to use it on a new project.

    We do not have equipment at the moment - we will use a Pickering 40-540-021 '132 x 4' switch.

    I would like to configure NI Switch Executive before Pickering delivered cards, is it possible? I get an error when I create the NI Switch Executive virtual device. Seems that MAX is trying to communicate with the switch card before allowing me to configure routes/exclusions/groups etc..

    Here's what I've done so far:

    -Install the drivers of Pickering.

    -To the MAX (v5) I have setup a session driver IVI and logical name.

    When I try to create a new NI Switch Executive peripheral virtual, I add the logical name of the switch, click [next] and get the NISE error...

    "An error occurred so they were trying to access the devices PROJECTSWITCH. The primary error: unknown status code (Hex 0xBFFA400C).

    I see that a virtual device is created with no logical switch assigned. I get the error even if I try and add a logical switch manually to the virtual device NISE.

    Is it because the switch Board is not available for the system? Can I configure the routing/groups/exclusions without the device being mounted physically switch?

    Thank you

    Alan

    Alan.

    Seems that MAX is trying to communicate with the switch card before allowing me to configure routes/exclusions/groups etc..

    This should be the expected behavior. NEITHER Switch Executive tries to communicate with the instrument before allowing you to configure routes to ensure that there is no problem that would affect the operation of the Switch Executive. In your case the pilot trying to communicate with a non-existent device.

    I would like to configure NI Switch Executive before Pickering delivered cards, is it possible? Can I configure the routing/groups/exclusions without the device being mounted physically switch?

    It is possible that all compatible IVI devices should have the ability to simulate.

    It seems that you have configured your session of IVI driver incorrectly for a simulated device. I try and make sure that in the session driver, under the 'Général' tab, select the drop down menu to "Simulate with" and select 'Specific driver' and then click 'Save the IVI Configuration'. This will return the Pickering driver selected in the 'software' tab and simulate a device. This should allow you to create a virtual device NI Switch Executive and develop and test the code on the simulated instruments.

    I would like to know if you have any other questions.

  • PC8024 interface with existing voice VLAN (100) on the switches HP 2910

    We have added our first Dell PowerConnect 8024 switch to an existing network of switches HP 2910.  We have only 2 VLANS configured: voice (100) and default (1).  The switches HP all default ports VLAN are set to "no label" and all the ports on the voice VLAN are established 'labelled '.

    I need to configure the PC8024 to co-exist with the existing network phones for Mitel can communicate.  We are not familiar with the PC8024 switch, evaluate as a possible solution for improving our spine and DR subnet 1 GB to 10 GB.  For the spine, we need the voice traffic to be handled properly, so we set up the work with the existing voice VLANS 8024.

    What parameters of configuration of VLAN do we need on the PC8024 to co-exist with the existing network configuration for the (100) voice VLAN on HP switches?

    Voice VLAN allows you to specify which VLANs, then you should be able to use the VLAN 1, but if you use VLAN 1 and 100, you could probably just create a VLAN 100 and not bother with the stuff of vlan voice. What type of port is the port you are trying to assign to tagged in? Access mode cannot do without label. If it was the general mode you can assign it labeled 100 and a PVID from 1 which would put traffic which is not marked on the vlan 1.

  • Cannot access the IP by default with the switch Cisco SF200 - 24 p

    Hello, I just bought Cisco switch SF200-24, but I can't access to switch with default address IP 192.168.1.254.

    I set up my laptop 192.168.1.4 and connect to the Port No. 1 but I can't ping too.

    anything you can help me please.

    Hello

    Quick Start Guide:

    To access the switch using the web interface, you must know the IP address of the switch uses. The switch uses the default IP of default 192.168.1.254.
    When the switch is using the default IP address, the system LED flashes continuously. When the switch uses an address IP assigned server DHCP or an administrator has configured a static IP address, the system LED is lit (DHCP is enabled by default).

    You see the system LED flashes constantly?

  • SelectOneChoice show the correct value with switching problem

    Hello

    I use JDeveloper 11.1.1.5.0 and I have a non-trivial application of SelectOneChoice.

    Here's my usecase:

    I have to show LOV to set the State according to the connected person.

    So, I implemented attribute LOVs view that each filtered for in the light of the type of person (owner or non-owner).

    I created switcher LOV for attribute as java method in module impl invoked by EL expression adf.source.getApplicationModule () .getTaskStateLOVSwitcher (adf.object, CreatedByIdFk);

    to get connected user binded query parameter id.

    public static String getTaskStateLOVSwitcher (ViewRowImpl, String createdById, time stamp dateInsert vri) {}
    ViewObject vo = vri.getApplicationModule () .findViewObject ("TaskViewParTaskTypeIdEx1");
    String userId = getBindValue (vo, "BindProcessedByUserId") m:System.NET.SocketAddress.ToString ();
    Output string;
    If (createdById.trim () .equals (userId)) {}
    output = "LOV_TaskStateIdFkOwner";
    } else
    output = "LOV_TaskStateIdFkNotOwner";
    return output;
    }

    I've used this many fragments of jsff perspective.

    There are fragments where it works fine (but I still don't understand why the switch method is called 3 times)

    And there are fragments where it fails. When there are two lines with different LOV to show SelectOneChoice shows an incorrect value.

    I can see the newspaper that LOV switcher method is called 6 or more times and first 3 times it works with values previously selected line and next time, it runs with the current line.

    He result is SelectOneChoice sets the value of the line previously selected in the first round and goes the LOV index.

    I found in the < getViewPort > ADFc log < ControllerState > message: no port view found ID...

    Is the source of the problem and what is the solution?

    Thank you.

    After eliminating all the differences between 'good' and 'bad' fragments I found a problem in the fragments of masters who defined a real line of iterator.

    Define RangeSize = 10 (not 25) table completely setting to change this behavior in common sense.

  • Can't get WAP121 to work with the switch SG100D - 08 p... why?

    If I connect my WAP121 directly to my router, it works fine.  But when I connect it to my SG100D switch - 08 p I can see, but when I log in, I get "limited connectivity" and he can't "identify."  The switch is PoE and everything seems to work well, but I have tried PoE and steady through the switch; nothing works.  Does not understand why if I connect it cat-cable goes into the switch it works fine, but when I coonect it through the switch, I have problems.  I thought that this switch was unmanaged, but something is happening.  Any ideas?

    Nathan, the default state should be fine. Try to upgrade/flash the firmware and reset the device and try again.
