Portege Z10t connect to projector using VGA

Hello.

I'm having a problem connecting the Portege Z10t to a projector via VGA.
The amount of the fine by HDMI.

Resolution changes to screen for something like a 4:3 ratio.
Then, he goes on the projector, rest for about 10 seconds then bombs.
I tried several resolutions but no joy. We are running windows 8.1

I tried a few different z10t and different projectors. Other laptops running windows 8.1 are very well, it seems that with the z10t.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance

First of all, it would be interesting to know what resolution you ve chosen for internal and external display.
The Portege Z10T series was equipped with different views, but as far as I know the max resolution supported for all the screens should be: 1920 x 1080 px

If you use the extended desktop, two screens (internal + projector) could use different resolution, but if you use the clone poster option then the resolution must be the same on the Internet as well as on the external display (projector).

    Hello

Set the best display on your monitor and check the difference.

It's normal. You will see a blank screen or an empty window on the computer screen. To view information about the computer's monitor, you must temporarily disconnect the HDTV.

To get the most benefit out of connecting your computer to a TV, you use Media Center, found in Windows Vista Ultimate and Windows Vista Home Premium.

    Hello

Try changing the VGA cables and check if it helps.

If the problem persists, then I suggest you to update the firmware.

  • Whenever I connect to my HDTV using vga, I get a BSOD, even tried with different pc tv/cable

    Hello

Thank you for taking the time to read this! Yesterday that I tried to connect to an HDTV using VGA instead of someone else, worked well. Buy a vga cable today and connected to my 1080 p full hd Phillips and got a BSOD almost instantly. I tried some things and managed to do the work! Played skyrim for a little and left the laptop in sleep mode. Came, open upward and the screen stayed black, nothing I could do to get a Visual.
Now, whenever I connect the cable I get a BSOD, it works with any other laptop, excludes the cable and television.
I have updated all drivers in the list, checked my drive for errors using the good chkdsk, smart status on the disk is good, all withdrew. I know for a fact that my laptop works fine with extra monitors, we use all the time on my internship and as stated, it worked yesterday on another TV.
    Features of the laptop:

    ASUS n73jn

    processor Intel i5 460 m
    NVIDIA geforce 335 m
    Windows 7 64 bit
    4 GB ddr3 RAM
the HDMI port is dysfunctional, just a few flickering screens filled with black lines, that's why I try vga. My guess is the hdmi port is DOA, but did not have a hd tv up to 2 years after purchase.

    Greetings,

    Joachim

Sorry, I was a little confused with the HDMI and VGA - continues to be the same advice.

Looks like you have isolated to a hardware problem.  With the Intel graphics card is not posted, I have to wonder if the hardware problem is with the graphics card Intel

FWIW - we have seen a number of overheating problems with the graphics from nVidia on your model.  Make sure the laptop is on a hard surface - and I would also use a filling of cooling (if possible) to ensure that the system is not overheating.

Install a new copy of Intel video drivers is probably the most important thing to do now - and ensure that this card appears in Device Manager (and check in the nVidia PhysX tab to see if it appears here - even though I'm not familiar with this program).

Try the video stress tests here: http://www.carrona.org/addldiag.html
They can show that there is a hardware problem - but a lot of this will involve what video card works at the time of the test (even once, I don't have a lot of experience to make systems to change video card).

    Good luck!

  • Portege M780-10U frezees when using external LCD

    Hello

    I have a Toshiba Portege M780-10U running Windows 7 (x 32) SP1.
I've updated all the drivers for the display, BIOS, etc.

When I connect my Acer G235H laptop screen freezes after about 3 hours of operation.
Nothing is recorded anywhere, just a complete freeze that requires a hard reset. The fan for the CPU to full power, and then runs once the freeze occurs.

I'm not under any special graphics applications when it blocks just standard Office 2007 and IE8.
I've isolated the gel down for display using a HP L1906 monitor and had no gel for 2 days.

I tried the screen ACER G235H using VGA and HDMI, and I always get some freezes.

Does anyone have ideas how I can fix this problem?

    Thank you

    > I've isolated the gel down for display using a HP L1906 monitor and had no gel for 2 days.
For me it's really hard to believe that an external monitor may affect the functionality of the laptop, but it seems that your laptop freezes using only this special monitor (G235H).
Use of the HP L1906 monitor everything is ok. Is this good?

Hmm connect you the L1906 monitor to the same port as G235H?
There may be differences between the external resolutions?

Sorry mate, but it s really hard to tell what could bring it this maybe s a high temperature problem and perhaps its pure coincidence that freezes it cell phone using the external monitor.

    Portege Z10t-A PT132A-00F00T

My Tablet continues to go to sleep after about 60 seconds of noninteraction.
I can watch youtube, read, listen to music... etc and after about 60 seconds of me not to touch the display turns on outside and all the audio and video stop.
As soon as I touch the screen it wakes up again.

I was in the power options and retouched for the power supply and battery.
I put Sun/Eve forever to the two options as a test, but still it does.

I missed a place where it is defined elsewhere?
    Very annoying

    Thank you

    Hello

Is it in laptop mode when Toshiba keyboard Dock is fixed or in tablet mode only?
Is it if the adapter is connected or only when the adapter is removed?

The computer will automatically mode 'sleep' according to the sin of setting power options. To access this click
Office-> Office help-> Control Panel-> system and security-> power options options
(or Win key + X-> power options)

Here you should find the option called display auto power OFF
This feature automatically cuts off the power to the screen when there is no input of keyboard for a while

You can also see the hybrid sleep feature that appears also in Power Options.

In addition, I recommend check you the settings of Intel Display Power Saving technology.
    This feature is enabled by default and controls the current consumption b< optimizing="" the="" picture="" contrast="" and="" internal="" lcd.="" this="" can="" be="" used="" if="" notebook="" is="" running="" in="" battery="" mode="" and="" using="" the="" internal="" lcd="" display="">

To access this feature, he must right click on the desktop, and then click graphics properties
-> Select battery from the drop-down list in the power source, and then click Power.
Then, clear the checkbox display energy saving technology and lick OK.

  • New Portege Z10T can't see Sierra / 4G card after 8.1 Upgrade Win

    Hi all

I bought a brand new Toshiba Z10T Core i5 00 M 001 model of Telstra last night. When I got there, he had a connection "Telstra" related to the internal 4 GB card. This has been tested and work on standard 8 Windows Installer as expected from the GET.

I proceeded to run Windows update on the stock Win8 installed, who installed about 900 MB, updates. As a result, I have installed the recommended Windows 8.1 update. Once it was over, the laptop has rebooted a few times, and as one of the last steps he wanted to connect to the internet to complete its configuration (I presume download my profile of Microsoft) at this POINT, I had available to me 'Telstra' connection and I used this link to download the profile (she even smsed me a confirmation code).

As a result, however, the 'Telstra' connection disappeared, and the Sierra Wireless card is now not found on the device. I tried to connect to a wireless network and running Windows Update (I'm updating) and your Web site is not a specific driver available for the wireless on Windows 8.1

Can you please suggest how can I do to get the 4g on the unit connection working again. It's one of the reasons why I invested in this pivot Tablet and I do not want to go back to Windows 8.

    See you soon,.

  • Change the SSD or RAM in Portege Z10t?

    Hello

As we know that it is very easy to change the RAM memory or the Portégé R700-930 series SSD drive.
It's a little more complicated for the Z series.

I just wanted to know if this is possible for the new series of Z10t?
The standard elements of 4G and 128G are a bit small for my taste.

    Thank you
    / Anders

    Hello

I think the upgrade on Portege Z10T is another story and not comparable with other series such as Portege R700.

The Portege Z10T is a mixture of Tablet / netbook device and mSATA SSD drive is placed within the tablet that is not upgraded to the user.

If 128GB are not enough for you, you can insert and use the extra memory media into the SD card slot

  • Portege Z10T-a - keyboard does not

    Hello

The keyboard of my Toshiba Z10 unresponsive.
    Tablet mode is fine.

I have try the reset, restart, I installed the patch, nothing, battery recharges through the keyboard.
    Thank you for the support.

    Hello

Hmm... usually the update of the firmware (patch) should help resolve this problem.
I would give another thread on the same topic, and the update of the firmware was the key.
    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-euro...ThreadId=73148

I also found that this doc from Toshiba in the knowledge base on the update of Firmware for Keybord Docker for Portege Z10t solve connection problems
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/TSB3A03IV0000R01.htm

But it seems that you have already installed the patch, but it didn't he not help you.
So I think that there is a problem with the connection of the keyboard.

You should get in touch with service Toshiba authorized in your country in order to verify the keyboard.

  • Portege Z10T-A140: can I make to Win 8.1 and where to find the serial key

    Hello
    I have Z10T-A140.

When I check the part number in the link: http://www.toshibamea.com/en/Compatibility-Matrix-8-1?SerialNo=pt131v-00h005ar

told me is not compatible with win 8.1.

but to under writing the page, it is compatible with win 8.1.

    Why the result is different?

    Another question:
I can't have my serial number of Windows 8 and I can only see last 5 digit number.
If my clear HARD drive and I need full new install winodws 8, where can I find my serial number for Windows 8.1?

    Thank you.

    > Why the result is different?

    Your laptop is a PT131V-00H005AR Portege Z10T-A140
Of course, it s 8.1 Windows extensible and taken in charge.
On the page of supported Windows update 8.1 models, you can find the Portege Z10T PT131V.

    > Other my question:
    > I can't get my serial number of Windows 8 and I can only see last 5 digit number.
    > If my clear HARD drive and I need full new install windows 8, where can I find my serial number for Windows 8.1?

I recommend reading the user manual. You will find information on the Toshiba Recovery Media Creator.
The recovery media Creator allows you to create a recovery disk. This disc install again the image of Toshiba on the laptop. The serial key is not necessary because the Windows 8 will be activated automatically using Toshiba image.

  • connect a projector to a macbook pro

I recently bought a macbook pro, the death of my old macbook. I can not get my projector to the computer via a USB connection. When I plug in the USB the USB display Installer appears. I followed the instructions but nothing happens. I spent in the display setting in system preferences and held that the option pressed toward the low key and double clicked, but once again, nothing.

I connect the projector with a different cable?

Without knowing the specific or this projector that the USB connection is used to you must go the projector support site and see if there are updated disks that support El Capitan. For some devices manufacturers are reluctant to, and some are not yet of drivers for El Capitan

  • Connect to projector remote control

I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite L645-S4102, running Windows 7 and an EX5210 EPSON projector.  I am able to connect to the computer with the printer using a USB cable to show a POWER POINT program.  Images of the projector and the sound works fine.  But the the projector remote control does not work.  I have to use the arrow keys on the computer to move to the next slide.  Is there a way to set up my computer to pick up this remote?

    It hurts.

I don't understand what you mean by "a PowerPoint to JPEG", but I suppose what you mean is that if you have a PowerPoint saved on a USB key and plug this drive to the USB port on the projector, you can control the presentation using the remote control.

However, if you have a PowerPoint saved on the computer and then connect the computer using a cable between a USB port on the computer and the USB port on the projector, presentation displays via the projector but the remote does not work to move the slides.

Just to make sure that things work properly if not, unplug the projector from the computer and start the presentation that your friend wants to show.  It should display on the computer screen.  Advancing slides when you click the left button of the mouse?

When the projector is connected to the computer, have you tried all the other keys of the remote control?  In other words, the arrows (on the remote) move the cursor on the screen?  The Enter key act as a left mouse click?  The key is ESC acts as a right mouse click?

Note that as work around might be not satisfactory, you can copy the presentation from the computer on the flash drive and use it the way you did in the past.  Or, as you have already done, use the arrow keys on the computer.

I understand that the the User Guide for your projector says

If necessary, configure your computer to work with an external USB mouse. See your computer
    documentation for more details.

but I've never seen any system that requires a special configuration to use an external USB mouse.  All the ones I've seen that work as soon as they are installed.  If your remote control does not work as a wireless mouse, chances are that it never properly installed.

In addition to the advice 'configure your computer', Epson FAQ on this subject says "make sure that your computer is selected as a source. Press the button of the computer on the remote control to select your computer as source"- but if the computer has not been selected as source, you would not see the screen, it's probably not the answer.

If any, occurs when you connect the projector to the computer and turn on the projector?  You hear any sound or see a brief message pop up?  Do you remember if you hear or see anything the first time you connected to the projector to the computer?

With the projector connected and turned on, go to the computer and click Start, type "Device Manager" (without the quotes) in the search box and press ENTER.

Look through the Device Manager and if any device displays a warning icon, click twice on this device and to report (a) the full name of the device and (b) the full text, presented as "State of the device.

If there is no warning icons, follow these steps (it's a bit of speculation on my part, because I don't have a projector like yours):

    • Click the triangle to the left of "Human Interface Devices" to expand the category.  Report the full names of each item in this category
    • Click the triangle to the left of "mice and other pointing devices" to expand the category.  Report the full names of each item in this category
    • Click the triangle to the left of "Human Interface Devices" to expand the category.  Report the full names of each item in this category
    • Click on the triangle located to the left of "De Bus USB controllers" to expand the category.  Is there an element with a name similar to "(USB) driver Microsoft mouse and keyboard detection"?
    • Browse through the categories and see if you can find a question relating to your Epson projector.  I don't know which category this might be it's not in the above 3 categories.  If you find it, please report (a) what category it's in, and (b) the full name of the device.

    EDIT TO ADD

Your computer is connected to the Internet when you plugged the projector to the computer?

Is your computer connected to the Internet now (or can connect if you want to do)?

I ask these last two questions because it dawned on me that maybe by "configure your computer," Epson means that you must install the driver for the remote wireless mouse function.  Although it is possible that such a driver is embedded as part of a normal installation of Windows 7, it is more likely that when you plugged the projector to the computer, Windows would tried to access Windows Update to find the right driver.  Describes user guide the CD supplied with the projector as just "documentation projector" Epson must wait until the driver is built either in or is downloaded from Windows Update.  Alternatively, you can download the driver directly from Epson--> http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Store/support/supDetail.jsp?UseCookie=yes&oid=188471&prodoid=63091522&infoType=Downloads&platform=nodetect
