  Display foreign characters is dictated by the page encoding and of course a proper police being on the system. This should be no problem compatible Unicode OS such as Windows XP, Windows Vista and OS X. On XP, install the language packs is optional, on Vista and OS X a rudimentary functionality is already in place.   I came across a work-around for this for Acrobat Pro XI.  It is a process in two steps and a little heavy, but it works.

  First, go and add your text box and everything what you need text.  After having done that, select all the text, then bring up a bar of properties of the text box text by placing your cursor in the toolbar area and select 'Properties Bar' top of the page, right click or simply press Ctrl + E.  The properties of the text box bar will appear (floating, but not all the time).  Let the selected text, and then change the font properties to what you need.

  Secondly, deselect the text, select the border of the text box, make a right click and then select "Make current properties default" in the pop-up window.  FYI, the property bar to the box text will be changed from a floating real estate bar at this time, so if you need to make more detailed changes, simply close the bar and back to Ctrl + E to call upwards and make other changes.

  I use Windows 7 64-bit.

  If you have used any other processor of professional quality (for example, Microsoft Word), and then just go ahead and use the current culture of free (financially) applications on devices you mention.   I paid for my legal copy of Vista Home Premium when I bought my computer, why so PE 2.0 available only if I buy a retail copy of the CD?   Microsoft makes service packs available for free why isn't PE in one of these?

  I have a program to create images of backup of my hard drive.   Without a rescue boot disk, the image is useless.    I want to be able to retrieve my whole hard drive in the event of a disaster, not only my documents and files.   I don't want if sit and wait for SP2 to retrieve all published updates.  That could take days.  Macrium Reflect is a free software that allows you to do exactly that, the problem is, Vista is locked, I have to pay for the version that has the PE file that will allow me to create my rescue CD.   I can respect the fact that you don't want other software distributors using Microsoft property without paying, but I already paid for Vista.  What other programs Ichose to run with him should not be hindered by the latter.  Windows XP it didn't need, and these people are happy as clams.  Me. I'm not such a happy camper.  Vista was not one of the best products from Microsoft and I'm about to go back to XP, or jump up to Windows 7.   Vista was nothing more than a prolonged headache.
