Try to install ESX 4.0 on Dell Optiplex 380 - NETWORK adapter driver issue machine

Try to install ESX at home on a Dell Optiplex 380, with Intel Core 2 Duo E7500 @2.93 GHz processor, 4 GB of RAM. Installation keep saying NETWORK adapter detection failed. do not get the NIC for ESX drivers. NIC details as follows: network: Broadcom 57XX Gigabit Integrated Controller, 5721 1 NetXtreme Gigabit Ethernet PCI-E, BCM95722 PCI-E NIC Driver - Version: A05 - name OEM: Broadcom.

I had a similar problem, I tried to install ESX on a Dell Inspiron, but the on-board NETWORK interface was not picked up.

I looked around and I bought the following NIC after reading the reviews and it has worked very well for me since then.

EXPI9301CTBLK Intel 10 / 100 / 1000 Mbps PCI-Express adapter 1 x RJ45 network

  • How to fix Dell Optiplex 380 at HP, the one I use

Dell Optiplex 380 was in excellent condition until I upgraded to Windows 10 the week before I moved. Four months later when I had internet, didn't know I needed to upgrade my security programs and acquired a brutal situation of malware, downloaded ten tons of scrap and resulted in blocking of the Dell printer off of the internet.  I have used the Hewlett-Packard, that is running Windows 7, real did well, learned a lot, but have failed to get internet Dell operable. He won't start mode safe mode with networking, reset setting manufacturers, restore previous state or I would remove programs without internet.

I want to know if it is possible to connect the Dell (10 Windows) at HP (Windows 7) so that I can run scans on the Dell of the HP. Dell opens and is usable in a limited framework. How can I have two computers on a single monitor?  a mouse and a keyboard on two computers? Can I run things security, Norton, SpyHunter, RegHunter from one computer to another?  I really want to buy discs that I can run these programs on up to five computers and it seems pointless to need to buy records.

I want to exhaust all my possibilities of learning before I break and bring it to a repair guy. I'm on the SSD and have little income, but I get to learn what it might take. Please notify

    Download ESET Removal tool

Burn it to a CD or create a USB bootable thumb with her:

    http://www.eset.com/us/download/utilities/

ESET are Live is a live Linux distribution which can scan malware and clean infected files. It runs from a CD/DVD or a USB device, regardless of the host operating system, but has a direct access to the system disks and files. This will eliminate the threats which, under normal conditions, can be impossible to remove.

Download and create your ESET are Live drive

You can also try to do a system restore before you start experiencing this problem:

There are some that will hide your files/folders so that you don't normally see them. I strongly suggest to run a scan on your computer with your antivirus/antimalware software. If you need to, you can also use the Microsoft Safety Scanner, it's free:

    Thank you...

    Hi Andstino,

If it is, I would like to ask you some questions about what I want to make sure that we get at the bottom of the problem for you. Some questions will be asked to remove components of the system, so please make sure that you disconnect the power cord to the back of the system before making these.

    (1) turn on the system. Can you tell me if the power button flashes orange or orange fixed? Could you also tell me if you notice any diagnostic LED remains lit - these are labelled 1,2,3 and 4 and are nearly taken before headset

    (2) Please remove all devices to the back of the system and turn on the system. This affects the power LED or Diagnostics LED button

    (3) have you added components to the system of cards for example video, his etc...

    (4) Please, open the system and remove the following:

    (a) cables for power and data from hard drives and optical drives
    (b) PCI/PCI-Express expansion card
    (c) the memory of the system
    (d) the system fan

    (5) with the above removed, reconnect the power cord to the back of the system and turn on the system. Please take note of what happens with the power LED button and the diagnostic lights

    (6) if there is no change in the LED or Diagnostics LED power button, remove the power cord from the back of the system and remove the following:

    (a) Panel of e/s cable
    (b) CMOS battery

    (7) with the i/o panel cable and the CMOS battery removed, please connect the power cord to the back of the system. The system should automatically try to turn it on. You hear the beeps of the system? If so, can you tell us exactly what you mean?

If you need help with the removal of these components, please see the manual here: http://support.euro.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/op380/en/index.htm

  • Try to install Windows 7 from the SanDisk USB 3.0 Flash drive...

I spent days trying to find a solution to this, but nothing helped. I am trying to install an image pre-configured on a new Dell Latitude E5530 and Dell Precision T3500 (our two standard workstation deployments). At the prompt 'Where would you install windows?', I chose the disk/partition and get a message "Windows Setup could not create a new partition system.

Before I begin to explain - I made this configuration will leave if it is thousands of times with disks USB 2.0 without problem. (It installs custom and preconfigured win 7 for an enterprise environment.) The images we use are fine - they work with other USB 2.0 readers)

    Material:

    Dell Latitude E5530 / Dell T3500

128 GB Samsung SSD (Dell OEM) / Western Digital 320 single disc and two disks in RAID 1 (RAID Intel)

Installation drive: SanDisk Extreme 32 GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive

    Software:

    Windows 7 32-Bit Enterprise Edition

-Pre-configured image and answer file, custom (install.wim)

Here's what I've done previously. None of this worked at all:

    • Clean the disk target (SSD) with diskpart (own > create > active > format (NTFS) > attribute).
    • Clean the installation USB 3.0 drive and install re-copied the file several times.
    • Cloned the installation drive USB 3.0 from a well-known work 2.0 USB drive.
    • Addition of the latest Intel USB 3.0 Boot.wim in the USB 3.0 drivers installation disk.
    • Tried manually navigate and load the drivers of intel USB 3.0 while the selection of drive / configure screen (they seem to load but the error persists)
    • Boot order set to the target drive / array at the top of the list
    • Off the other boot devices.
    • Operation change of SATA (AHCI, SATA, RAID, etc.)
    • I tried different ports USB 3.0 and 2.0.
    • Tried with laptop in itself and dock.

It seems that the Windows 7 installer will not work on this USB 3.0 flash drive anything (not even on 2.0 ports). Each search than I on this subject shows results that relate to an upgrade install or simply clean the score target and marking as active (what I've done, and what does not). I can't, for the life of me, understand what the limitation or the problem, it is that is causing these installs do not work.

I don't have the option to try different USB 3.0 drives. Any help is greatly appreciated.

"The file"C:\Program World of Warcraft.temp\Data.temp\enUS.temp\Documentation.temp"could not be renamed to"C:\Program World of Warcraft.temp\Data.temp\enUS.temp\Documentation".

I am running Windows Vista and I have a 8600GT with 2 GB of ram.  I have no idea why this happens, can someone find a solution for me please?

    Thank you!

    From: Mark

There are a lot of people on this list who are playing WOW under Vista so it must work.

A couple of easy things to try:

1 - remove the folder C:\Program World of Warcraft.temp. Its possible that it I messed up during the installation of the system and the file is locked, preventing new attempts to working installation.

2 - right click on the file setup.exe on your cd and select 'Run as administrator', it might be useful if it's a permissions problem

    Hope thelps!
