Try to reinstall win 7 to finally upgrade to win 10

I started the process of installing windows 10 on my other computer...

However, I've met some difficulties on the way... Which has lead me to the purchase of a new ssd hd install and trying to install my Windows 7 pro 64 service Pack 1. I installed the basis of windows 7 from the dvd but I seem to be stuck with trying to get the list of updates to the way back when... I activated my windows 7 pro.

My 1st attempt on my new ssd drive to a bunch of updates failed in win 7 (fails more than 170 passes + updates I needed) I have tried to enter safe mode but couldn't.  Out of one of the sites for internet explorer, I had managed to get what I thought, it was a real option to move to 10 so I chose this option and tired to do. (before I had all my patches downloaded and installed) I left this race for a good 12 hours last night, but he was not able to succeed to install patches or win 10.

Today, I tired to reinstall win 7 thinking I must have missed something and I want has no longer if possible (hoping for a different result) I have my Windows.old directory and my Windows directory.

I installed my drivers and he was going to start downloading my updates/patches, but I was not able to get past Agent 7.6.7600.32 windows update.  I was stuck on 'check updates' for a good 3 hours... I understand slow downloads as our internet speeds suck in the best of cases... and I've been able to avg ~2.12 Mbps on down and 0.30mpbs on the site, however, this has been satisfactory to do things until today...  Under change the settings of the pg I have check for updates but let me choose whether to download and install them.  (I chose this option b/c many other updates didn't last time and I expected to go through them in pieces smaller than what was installed last night)

On my drive C I seem to have a Windows10Upgrade file which seems to have some of the files it contains... would I be able to use it to access windows 10 somehow? If I managed to get to 10 is still have to get my windows 7 /updates installed the patches?
Please help I was hoping to get Windows 10 before the 29 and have to pay for it...

Please note that Windows 7 Release Candidate is a preliminary version of Windows and should not have has been used as a release candidate.

However, the requirements for the media upgrade is that you have an operating system already eligible such as Windows XP or Vista installed to use it. Since the Windows 7 end user license agreement.

15 UPDATES. To use upgrade software, you must first be licensed for the software that is eligible for the upgrade. After the upgrade, this agreement takes the place of the agreement for the software that you upgraded. After upgrade, you can no longer use the software that you upgraded.

So, if you are always denied, you will just have to reinstall Windows XP or Vista and let it do the verification of eligibility.

  • How to reinstall Windows 8 with the upgrade product key

I bought a Windows 7 laptop and then bought the upgrade of Windows 8. on the online store of Windows. The hard drive of the laptop has been altered somehow and both the partition of Windows 8 and Windows 7 recovery partition no longer works.

When I try to create a USB Windows 8 key install it does not accept the product key that I paid for. I can't reinstall Windows 7, so how can I reinstall Windows 8 on the laptop.

    Hello

Try saving it in a an ISO Image... You can then put it on a flash or DVD later...

Make sure that you try to download Win 8 and not earn 8.1...

You will always have problems well... even if you manage to get the picture, it will take an existing operating system on the machine.

You may have to buy Win 7 media the manufacturer of machines, if they are still available...

The price is usually quite reasonable, less with most manufacturers charge about US $20

  • Envy h8: after Windows 10 reset impossible to reinstall win tv software

I upgraded to windows 10 8.1 all on time and everything seemed fine. Then last week I found that several functions do not work on the PC. As Start button, Windows Store, some of the apps etc etc. Is not too worried but thought I'd reset after having read about it on the Microsoft Web site. Followed the instructions and kept my files but when the PC has finiished I found that all who have been with the PC or software I had installed had disappeared.

I've always had the installation disks for the software I have installed, but couldn't know how resinstall the software preinstalled, when I bought the PC. Most of it I don't mind, but I would really like to reinstall Win Tv7.

I remember vaguely seeing awhile back on the resettlement of the recovery partition software but can't seem to do it now and the HP website has only an update for Win TV for windows 8.

    Anyone got any ideas please?

    Gordonmac8

    Hello;

Let me welcome you on the HP forums!

I read your post about the problems with Win TV and wanted to help - but we need more information.

We need the details of your PC product number.  There should be a sticker with this information on the case.

There is more than one model of your laptop, and we need the specific model number to search for information on this subject.

I personally found the updates of Win10 to be a mixed bag - a work very well, plus have problems, some fail miserably!

The only way to reinstall the HP software that is preinstalled on the PC is to use something known as HP recovery media.  It is a set of DVD and a CD or a USB key, which will erase the hard drive (removing all data, applications and settings, reinstall the original OS, drivers and utilities for HP. In some cases, you will be able to order a USB instead of discs.  You must order at HP; they cannot be downloaded.

If you are interested in this approach, then let me know - and I'll see if the recovery media is available by using the product number of details of your PC.

As for versions of the software, unless the PC is delivered with Win10 preinstalled HP, even if there is a version Win10 of the HP software, he has no way to download and install it.  So, you would have the same problem.

We can proceed once you provide the information.

    Thank you

    Hello Thomas_Si,

Thank you for your message.  Please, try the following steps:

Since you have already downloaded and run the system update tool, you can move on to step 2.

    1. According to your architecture of Windows 7, download / install and run the tool update system - CheckSur you can download the tool from the links below depending on your system type.

Download the tool update system (64-bit)

Download (32-bit) system update readiness tool

    2. click Start type cmd (you should see the command prompt fill up) right click and select run as administrator

Inside the command prompt, type sfc/scannow

For more information regarding the file system checker.

    * If corruption is found, see How to use the System File Checker tool to fix the system files missing or corrupted on Windows Vista or Windows 7

    3. once the SFC is finished, check your hard drive for errors.

4 restart the system update readiness tool. If errors have been eliminated, try to reinstall Service Pack 1. If this is not the case, go to step 5.

    5. perform a Startup Repair, when starting, try to install the Service Pack.

Please let us know the details of each scan or utility. We can't wait to hear back on your part.

    See you soon

  • Uninstallation of Halo and try to reinstall

I tried to uninstall Halo Combat Evolved for PC and there is I can't delete items delete or copy (when I try to reinstall) and I'd love to play the game and install it properly on my computer, but cannot me.

    Hi Rekeoe,

    (1) what exactly happens when you try to uninstall?

    (2) what is the exact error message or error code displayed when you try to uninstall?

When you are working on your computer and install a new program, the installation suddenly fails. Now, you're left with a partly installed program. You try to install the program again, but you're unsuccessful. Or, maybe you have problems trying to remove an old program because the installation files are damaged.

Windows Installer CleanUp Utility may be able to help. You can use the utility to remove installation information for programs that were installed by using Windows Installer. Remember that Windows Installer CleanUp Utility does not remove the actual program from your computer. However, it will remove the installation files so that you can start the installation, upgrade, or uninstall on.

Access the link below to download the Windows utility for cleaning and to proceed with the installation.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/290301

Title of additional information, the compatibility of Halo Combat Evolved is currently unavailable. It may or may not be compatible to run on Windows 7.

For more information on the same, you can see the link below.

    Hello

I saw the 0x0000007B BSOD caused by trying to install XP on a disk hard while the BIOS is designating the reader as AHCI instead of IDE. XP has no native AHCI drivers, resulting in a stop 7B. Unless the PC had originally Vista or Win 7, but it might be useful to check that it is not likely.

If the BIOS is set to AHCI, you could do one of three things (depending on whether your PC has a floppy drive)...

1 find the Setup F6 disk on AHCI support at installation time (start with the manufacturer's website if you do not already have such a thing). Watch the very hit F6 prompt early in the installation process.

    2. change the setting in BIOS on IDE / ATA

    3. create a new "slipstreaming" installation disc drivers AHCI in the existing installation disc, see http://www.nliteos.com/index.html

After the back if your BIOS is IDE / ATA

Read HP PC troubleshooting and maintenance Guide.  Put the original disc HP in the machine (assuming that he collapsed or the interface is not dead), restart, press F10.

If the system re - installs correctly, create the recovery media when prompted to do!  There are two DVD-r or CD-12 r.

BTW, if the system does not at all, you could try to create the recovery disks by searching for the software in the start menu-all programs-Accessories-System Tools online online online until you hit F10...

In addition, after installation, goto WWW.HP.Com support and download upgrades or updates of drivers for their system. No member of this forum is omniscient!  Information you provide; the best responses!

  • This application is not configured properly, maybe you should try to reinstall

This application is not configured properly, maybe you should try to reinstall. He says this even if it was just installed, or was not yet installed. How can I fix it? His allusion to a Bethesda game. But I think that the issue is much more than that

I activated the AutoPlay on the hard drive and I don't really see a problem that I know in the event viewer. When I try to run the game, it appears every time.

    And Bethesda support said what?

And try to be more comprehensive and coherent when you ask them.  In other words, identify the game, explain what you mean by "it was just installed or is not installed", and why you "think that the problem is much more than that."  What do you think is the problem?

Whatever that allows automatic reading has to do with your problem?  Why you mention it?

What errors or warnings are displayed in the event viewer, even if they do not seem to be a problem for you?

Be sure to identify the version of Windows you have, including service pack.

Complete without paraphrase error messages display also allows to diagnose problems.

Finally, try to uninstall the application using the control panel > Add / Remove programs.  Then use Free Revo Uninstaller to remove remnants of the disenfranchised.  Then run Disk Cleanup (start > run > cleanmgr.exe > OK) and restart the computer before you try to reinstall.

Your tour definitely had a COA sticker initially (or at least if it does not, the HP was in breach of its contract with MS conditions).

Let's try a possible alternative solution...

  • HP Probook s 4440: lost after reformatting computer network adapter and reinstall Win 7Home Premium 64-bit

My laptop, HP Probook s 4440, had software spyware and after several attempts to remove it through 2 different software anti virus, I reformatted the hard drive and reinstalled Win 7 Home Premium 64 bit from the Windows CD.

Now, my laptop cannot see all available networks regardless of if I plug or try wireless.  The network and sharing Center shows nothing to activate when I go in the settings of the card.  Network discovery is turned on.

In Device Manager, the hardware for the network controller ID are:

    PCI\VEN_1814 & DEV_539A & SUBSYS_1839103C & REV_00
    PCI\VEN_1814 & DEV_539A & SUBSYS_1839103C
    PCI\VEN_1814 & DEV_539A & CC_028000
    PCI\VEN_1814 & DEV_539A & CC_0280

    Can you help me please?

  • Problem reinstalling Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit

I've recently updated to Win 7 Ultimate to win 10 Pro. I don't like like Win 10 and want to return to Win 7 Ultimate. However, the rollback feature Win 10 says that the files for Win7 is not found. I have inserted my official Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit OS dvd to reinstall manually, selected my C drive and started the reappattage. It stops and a message that "the/a driver required is not found." The installation cannot continue. »

I tried to install it on a secondary drive but got the same message.

I've never had this message when I have already installed and reinstalled Win 7 from this disk.

    Help, please! Thank you!

I'm going to wipe my drive and try again. What is the url for Digital River, in case I need to download a copy? I have my MSoft product identification number for the disk.

I have also several external drives connected to my PC via the USB port. Would possibly be the cause of the problem?

Disconnect non-essential devices can improve the success of the installation program.

Use of Digital River to be an option available for download of real reinstall media. It no longer exists, you must use the Microsoft software download page.

  • Need to reinstall win 7 but how?

    The OEM ID & key

laptop has some problems with the updates and it seems a corruption.

I would like to reinstall win 7, but as I got the used laptop it came with nothing.

does not understand why microsoft makes it so difficult to obtain support - we have little choice but to use the product that come installed!

Last night, I continued to try to solve this problem and has managed to create a diskette using the ISO file downloaded from Digital River, who has installed and working now what appears to be a clean / new Win 7 using my activation code.

So everything be fine it's fixed!

    Thanks for all the answers.
