Tungsten e itself starts to turn on

Hello!
Since a few days my Palm Tungsten E starts to turn itself back on... it remains off after pressing the power button for about 10 seconds and then turns back on.
What can I do?

Problem has been resolved by a session of chat with Palm.  If you have someone with a birthday reminder closer to the first of the year, and the reminder is the last year, it will make the tungsten for this.  The solution is to make the shorter recall, so it won't come back in the past year.  It worked!

  • My laptop starts to turn himself :(

    Hello

I have a HP Pavillion g series (Pavillion g6) computer running windows 7.

Recently, my laptop started to turn off when it is not plugged in. The battery is still generally about 30-40% (or if the battery icon says) when it shuts down completely.  It shuts down completely and when I try to restart it it starts black screen with "start in safe mode" or "start windows normally" etc. of the options.

It's really starting to frustrate me, and I've poured through from google and these forums to see if I can find something that could help but so far nothing.

    Any help gratefully received.

    Hello!!

Sorry for the late reply... but he tool some time to analyze all the stuff... now that I have gone through the report and read on the support sites... you Webcam is not officially windows vista supported and your drivers are in compatibility mode... That's why your drivers are giving a conflict to the USB system and the power is cut through again... the only way to stop this by changing the webcam...

but you can try to do one thing... Please go to Device Manager (-> right click computer-> properties-> Device Manager-> continue-> universal serial bus-> check each displayed items properties to check which port it shows your installed webcam and deselect the option to turn off the device to save energy...)

Looks like a hardware failure, how you proceed depends on whether you have a winxp cd real or only a recovery cd.

Your Compaq has no test utilities that are available when you start initially, perhaps by entering a certain combination of keys? The Compaq website for your specific model will tell you.

    Hello

    (1) remove all external devices before turning off the computer, and then check to see if that makes a difference.

    (2) turn off the ability to wake the computer.

    i. Click Start, right-click computer and then click on manage.

II. in the user account control dialog box, click on continue.

If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on allow.

III. click on Device Manager, expand Bus USB controllers, right click on the device and then click Properties.

IV. do the same with the network adapter.

    v. click on the power management tab, clear the allow this device to wake the computer check box, and then click OK.

  • My all-in-one HP 4215 reinstalls itself whenever I turn on my computer.

When I turn on my computer, my all-in-one HP 4215 re - installs itself.  He doesn't it when starting the development computer into hibernation.  My computer is a laptop e-Machine, the system is Windows XP.  This re-installation took place since I installed a tax preparation, TaxCut program, last year.  I uninstalled the tax software.  Also, I uninstalled the HP4215 and re-installed.  Still have the same problem.  Is this a problem of printer or a problem of Windows XP?  Thanks a lot for your help.

Well, I had a problem unconnected with my HP 4215 reinstall itself which, ultimately, solved my initial problem.

I wanted to scan a picture and never had the opportunity to use the feature to analysis of my 4215-All-in-one.  But it would not scan.  Error message says that the device is not connected.

So I went to the HP support for scanners where I downloaded a Diagnostic Utility Scan who told me that I had problems to scan.  No surprise.

He then reported that I have download full software functionality that I did.  Spent most of the afternoon working on this.  But after having uninstalled my current 4215 software and installed the current full feature software, my original problem reinstalling everytime I turned on my computer was gone!   And then I was able to scan my photo too.

I am SO relieved!  Thank you for your help and your entry.  It's SO nice to be able to turn on my computer without having to "wait" while it re - install my printer software.  I am very happy!!!

Do you mean that it stops when it is not plugged? If so, it's because your MacBook has been damaged by moisture! Energy settings do not work? Try putiing your light up! Tell me if it still does not.

  • Satellite A500 - 19 X - itself starts

    Hello

I recently bought for a Toshiba Satellite A500-19 x and it's a great computer, but every now and then it powers itself up against the cold.

I tried to test several times. I'll use it for a while and do a "Shut Down" on windows, but every now and then it lights. Often I will go off it before going to sleep and when I wake the computer is on standby by and do not start the system when I know that I made a SHUT DOWN. I also tried using Hibernate and various permutations but still no joy.

I tried to read a simular thread
    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=51374&start=15&TSTART=0

This is the same thing, but I'll try to find a BIOS update file.

Anyone know whay this is happening because it's very disheartening, after spending so much money on what o appeared to be a portable grand

    Thanks in advance. Kuldip

    Hi mate,

I had a similar problem on my laptop that it powers on himself. Then I went into BIOS and disabled the following features:
    -Wake up on LAN
    -Wake up on keyboard
    Sleep - USB & Charge

Now this didn't get more and if I could save the battery power a little more.

In addition, the FAQ section here also shows an interesting article:
[What I would do if my laptop starts only at 08:20 hours daily? | http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/ann.jspa?annID=76]

So also try updating the BIOS. You can find it on the Toshiba European driver download page. :)

If it is a MBP of 2015, it is still under warranty and you must bring the MBP to an Apple store genius bar and have it repaired.

In the meantime, you can try a SMC reset:
