Turn on 7520

I recently bought a 7520 e-all-in-one printer. When I push the power button the printer does not respond. After hours surching I found a work-around: when I disconnect and reconnect the electrical outlet, the printer can be switched. Whenever I turn off the printer to repeat this work around in order to turn it on again. Any other, and the best solution?

Thanks for the update. Looks like the power supply is defective. Because your printer is under warranty, contact HP support for help in getting a replacement power.  See the link below:

  • Photosmart 7520 error: there is a problem with the printer. Turn the printer off, then on.

I have a photosmart 7520 affected by the following issues.

Issue #1: randomly, all lights start flashing market and the screen reads the following:

Error. There is a problem with the printer. Turn the printer off, then on.

I can't find a move that throws this to happen.

#2 problem: When the printer is turned on and slowed down, also at RANDOM times, the printer will "Ding" followed by the flashing light wireless. So what sounds like the cartridges are cleaned, then a sound like the charger spinning or the printhead full running followed from one side to the other, then ending with a "Ding" and then back to normal.

When this happens, the wireless connection is disconnected and then reconnected. Also, this disables the "Scan to computer" function on all computers on the network and manually requires the reactivation of all.

From what I can tell the printer restarts itself.

It is plugged directly into the wall outlet, no surge protector.

Technical support has already go through the stages of the print head, me up to the top of the chain and eventually replaced the printer with a new brand.

THE NEW PRINTER STILL DOES THINGS AS PRECEDENT.

This printer is connected wireless to router Netgear N900. My all current computers running Windows 7, all are on the same network and workgroup and all are running Mcafee Total Protection.

If someone is or has experienced the same or similar problems, I could sure use help.

    Solved myself.

  • HP photosmart 7520: 7520 printer does not turn on

had a paper jam, had to move far right cartridges.  easy to remove some risk of stuck leaves none behind the printer.  No tears in paper, printer turned off itself and I can't turn it back on.  Thanks a lot for possible solutions.

    Hello @sara3!

Thanks for posting on the HP Forums!

I would be more then happy to lend a hand.  Looks like you did a lot of troubleshooting for a paper jam already.  The first thing I always suggest is to plug the printer into the wall directly if there is currently a power surge protector or extension cord. This may sound silly, but this will ensure the printer gets full power and can eliminate any unnecessary troubleshooting. If the printer is no longer becomes full power of power against power surges or extension cord, it can give a false errors, have bad connection, paper issues food, quality problems etc.

I'm not sure if you have gone through this paper paper jam still but I recommend you to take a glance to ensure the troubleshooting of all has been done.

If you still have the problem then your printer may require an update of the firmware.  An update updates the operating system in the printer.  If the printer needs this update you can get random questions.  It is recommended to connect the printer to the computer with a USB cable when you perform an update of the Firmware.

Download and run the Firmware update here: update of Firmware for Photosmart 7520 located under Firmware (1)

If you please, after back and let me know if this solves the problem.

  • E 7520 HP All - In - One Printer: turn off the power to the wireless printer

I have not printed for a few days I have not noticed if my Wi - Fi connection worked.

I tried to print wireless today and got the error message that the printer was not connected to the internet.  I tried to go wrong, but it did not help.  I checked the connection to the wireless router and put the password in.  It has not yet recognized it.  I tried to disable printing for my smart phone (I think it is called), but the screen froze on the circle showing the progress.

I tried to turn off the printer with the power button, but that no longer works.

The Wi - Fi light just keeps blinking.

How can I disable the printer may reset?  Or can you help get my printer to recognize my wireless again?

    Thank you.

    Hi Rhonda, there.

I would suggest to unplug the power cord from the printer without turning it off with the switch, it will do a reset without getting rid of all the parameters. You simply leave unplugged for about 1-2 minutes to clear out any power.

I recommend then reconnect, and doing as much as you can from the guide below:

Printer keeps no connection Wi - Fi

Good luck and let me know how it goes

  • Photosmart 7520 - printer Terminal error

I note the following HP problem:

    I have installed a 7520 recenty Photosmart all-in-one printer on my home network. I connect to it via WiFi. It set up fine and generally works well. However, every week or so the screen of the printer is a message;

    Printer error

There is a problem with the printer.

Turn the printer off, then on.

The four buttons off the screen (home, return, aid, cancel) and Wi - Fi blue LED flash all together.

When I cycle the power, following the instructions, everything is fine until the next time it happens. I've seen the problem 5 - 6 times now.

The printer had the latest firmware when I've set up a few weeks ago. If I try an update it signals that it is up-to-date.

  • Photosmart 7520 does not Mac since Yosemite print

My 7520 continues to run wireless on my home network to print from a computer laptop Windows 7 and via an iPhone 8 ongoing iOS AirPrint.  But it stopped working with my desktop Mac since installing OS 10.10 Yosemite yesterday.

After the installation of Yosemite, I also installed v3.0 available in the App Store HP printer drivers.  The Mac indicates now "the printer is not connected", and in the print queue, my print job appears "Printing - in search of printer".  When I open the preferences system, printers and Scanners, printer appears but cannot read ink levels and the utility cannot connect to the printer.

I have reset the printing system, downloaded again the version 3.0 drivers and reinstalled them.  The 7520 appears in printers and scanners so I can press on the + to add the button, but the system again said that it cannot connect.  The HP lists utility connection type such as Hello and the driver "HP inkjet 4 4.2.1 driver", but the other entries as a model, ID Service, etc., are listed as 'unknown '.

Would be grateful of any advice to resolve this; Thank you.

The solution seems to be to turn off the power to the printer, Mac, and router and get them all again.  Working so far.

  • Photosmart HP 7520: scan hp connects to the scanner

I have a new MacBook Pro that came with installed Yosemite.  I think that HP Scan frequently does not connect to my scanner HP Photosmart 7529 using my wifi.  I get an error indicating that the scanner... is currently unavailable.  I called the service of HP and their only solution was to do the following in order: 1. turn off the router, 2 disable the 7520, 3 put the router 4 switch 7520.  Now, it works but it happens regularly and frankly is quite a pain and I'm sure is not how it is supposed to work.

The scanner worked well with my previous MacBook Pro (OSX Lion).  The scanner also works through preferences, but that method has very limited functionality.  How can I get this problem?

    Hi @normka,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I'm sorry to hear that your HP scanning does not connect to your HP Photosmart 7520 scanner. But I'm happy to help you!

Please have a look through this guide to scanning, "computer no. has detected" or a Message appears "connection error" for HP Photosmart e-all-in-one 7520 Printer series.

I hope these guides will solve your problem and I thank you for posting!

  • PhotoSmart 7520 does not connect to "Web Services"

My new PhotoSmart 7520 eAll-in-one printer will not connect to the "web services" today. Yesterday all top and work without any problem. Any app I try, it gives me the same error message.

I run Win XP, the computer is connected to a wireless router with LAN feature. My printer is connected through the LAN. It was working fine yesterday. I did no changes since last night my computer system.

I'm and turned on the printer and went to print simple Crusaders and received the message that it cannot connect to the 'Web Services '. Sever after tests, I check wireless settings and it shows that it works with an excellent signal strength. The Mac address shows as does the correct IP address for the printer.

I checked my router to see if she was talking to the printer and everything was correct and functional. He showed increased activity with the printer wireless and work, the IP and Mac addresses were both correct.

I followed several statements of SUPPORT from HP on the withdrawal and the reactivation of the Web abuse and got a print both times I tried it.

Just before I downloaded HP Print and Scan, a small icon doctor appeared in the system tray in the lower right by saying that the computer analysis was not available. I ran the program doctor and ran the fixes to scan and print. The small icon disappeared, but I don't know what has been corrected.

I turned the printer and on again at least twice. And I ran twice wireless configuration software.

I can always connect to web services. I didn't have this problem when I set up the new printer Saturday. It worked fine until this morning.

I'm not having any problem connecting to Internet with other software.

We will define a static IP address and (most importanly) an external DNS for the printer:

-Print a the front of the printer Network Setup Page. Note the IP address of the printer.
-Enter the IP address in a browser to reveal the internal settings of the printer.
-Choose the network tab, then wireless along the left side, then on the IPv4 tab.
-On this screen, you want to set a manual IP address. You must assign an IP address outside the range that the router sets automatically (called the DHCP range). If you do not know the range, change the last set of numbers (those after the last '.') 250
-Apply the subnet 255.255.255.0 (unless you know it's different, if so, use it)
-Enter the IP of your router (on the Page of the Network Config) for the gateway.
-Enter for the first DNS 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 for second DNS. It's Google DNS. You can choose a different external DNS if you wish.
    -Click 'apply '.

Now, stop the router and printer, start the router, wait, and then start printing.

After that, you will have to redo 'Add printer' using the new IP address.
