  Hello. Once you enable for the scenario of all entities will require from, promotion, etc.. Process control screen allows you to apply patches to the selected entities and his descendants, so it is not difficult.

  We have a problem in batch account load problem. We use out of the box clustering algorithm. Because of this , there are several key active cluster for the clustering feature, resulting in records that should not be identified as a potential duplicate is returned as a candidate in double check by entering.

  We have a request from the AAU to change the existing algorithms of Clustering (cluster keys) by Disqualification to eliminate all but the an algorithm/key based on the name and location. (Location is mapped to subname). The application must have an active cluster key of the clusters of entity (the NSD key - it is a concatenation of the name and the Subname of 30 characters).  Name subname and not null attributes.

  1. I tried to disable all the algorithms group at the stage of Cluster of the entity except NSD matching process. But the output is none. I have nothing in the output. I make a mistake?
  2. Y at - it implications for disabling other grouping algorithms?
  3. If we should not change the clustering algorithms, what are the alternatives?

  A difference I could think: place a transient attribute on EO level will make transaction dirty (DBTransaction.isDirty returns true) when the field is changed.

  From a design point of view, I tend to place the transient fields at the level VO, because most of the time they are for the presentation of the data in the user interface.

  Only when the transient fields are involved in DML operations (for example when you call a stored procedure EntityImpl.doDML) I place the transitional area on EO.

  We must stop to create instances of entity or to disable the creation of entity instances if the answer to a question from attribute on the same screen is = 1.

  If the answer to the question on a screen as - passport how much you care-> 1

  Is there a way we can achieve this?

  I think that this can be achieved by modifying VM preference patterns - EntityInstanceCollectGroup.vm etc. where we can check the value of the attribute and therefore hide the entity instance collect buttons.

  But the problem is that it must be implemented on the same screen before submitting it.

  How can we achieve two things?

  I want to make an extension of the entity 'ExtBankAccountsEO' object issued by oracle, in order to use the create method to set the default values.

  I followed the "Oracle Application Framework Developer's Guide".

  I downloaded the complete content in/apps/abdellah/schema/Server oracle to my pc and use JDeveloper

  to make the extension 'ExtBankAccountsEOExImpl.java' and 'ExtBankAccountsEOEx.xml '.

  And now, the problems begin. I was not able to compile ExtBankAccountsEOExImpl.java in JDeveloper, because it lacks a lot of classes/packages.

  When I copy ExtBankAccountsEOExImpl.java into/apps/abdellah/schema/Server oracle (on the server), I have also some compilation errors, but they are all in the form

  cannot find symbol

  symbol: class number

  location: oracle.apps.iby.schema.server.ExtBankAccountsEOImpl of the class

  public number getProgramApplicationId()

  Ditto for the string and date of the exception. They all begin with a lowercase letter (string instead of the string, the number instead of number and so on).

  so I guess there must be a class somewhere where all these are defined. Delivered classes like ExtBankAccountsEOImpl are full of 'string' and 'number '.

  I installed the decompiler that you suggested, and it showed appropriate types:

  

  And now the extension compiles without a problem on the server! I made the mistake of putting the decompiled version of ExtBankAccountsEOImpl (with tiny string, the date and number) in the same directory as ExtBankAccountsEOImpl.class, and therefore the compiler gave errors.

  How can I now replace the old EO with the extension?

  It is unclear what exectly arrived, but looks like a change was made in the dimension entity planning (not EPMA) and then deployed (successfully).

  In essbase, we see that the entity dimension has only one member left for the appropriate plan types, as in the planning.

  If you remove members and then push that yes the essbase data is deleted, if you need back then you will need to go back to your restore process.

  I have a list of countries and a much larger list of cities, each containing a reference to the country that it is. Both lists are available in Excel.

  In an interview, I need the user to select a country, after which I want to reason based on the information of all the cities in that country.

  Because I don't want seeds before the interview with all this information, I would like to deduct from the country, as well as all the cities inside.

  My datamodel looks like:

  all instances of the country (= relationship)

  the country (= entity)

  all instances of the city in the country (= relationship)

  As a general rule, I would need:

  InferInstance (all instances of the country selected)

  All the properties in the country could come from the Excel sheet, which works very well. However, now I need to deduce an instance of 'city' for every city in the country that is inferred. Is there a way to do this?

  Unfortunately it is not possible to deduce the entity instances in the Excel rules. Several entities must be created in MS Word table rules.

• Identity columns Oracle 12 c in the entity of the ADF

  All the PCs in my diagram have their values provided by the new identity column feature in Oracle 12 c. Previously, during backup with sequences and triggers, I would choose the DBSequence type for the attribute PK in my ADFBC entity.

  I can leave Type BigDecimal, uncheck the required box and check "Update on insert", and then the PK is filled in the DB and the entity. However, it is a desirable solution at least.

  How can I tell ADF 12.1.3 I use identity columns, so that I can undo a mistake 'attribute is required?

  User, this feature is not currently supported in 12.1.3. As you have already discovered, you can create a table in 12 c with IDENTITY and use it in ADF (g 11 or 12 c). To some extent, this works. However, you cannot define a relationship master detail using the IDENTITY as PK feature will be created in the DB only after insertion. So in the EO attribute PK remains empty until you at least have published data and refresh the attribute to get the DB assigned ID.

  For an insert master detail, this would mean that you must wait until the parent gets his id before you can set the necessary FK in detail. You can do this, but it's the work you have set yourself.

  ADF uses the DBSequence data type for this kind of work. Here a negative number is assigned to the new line of master and as FK details until the transaction is committed. Then, negative numbers are exchanged by the framework with the now valid PK and FK.

• Journal templates change the entity in POV after validation

  Hi guys,.

  We have recently migrated to the 11.1.2.3 version. After the creation of models of journal with a specific entity registered in the POV, we notice that wen posting journals, the entity on the POV has been reset to the entity at the top of the hierarchy.  Each unique journal is posted in the wrong place, although in the model, there is a predefined entity.

  Have you ever experienced this problem? How do solve you?

  Install the patch appropriate to upgrade to version 11.1.2.3.500. We had a similar problem and the patch solved that one.

  RDS faq seems to say you can't do, you export instead, but I don't know enough about it to know if it's relevant.  Perhaps you should ask support Amazon or an Amazon RDS on board.  It could be a case of "If you do not have access through the dashboard, you can not see it" automated backup Amazon RDS - Stack Overflow
