TV tuners ~ Modulation of Amplitude quadrature (QAM) tuner

How will I know if I have installed on my computer Modulation of Amplitude in Quadrature (QAM) tuner?  What is QAM & why it displays fewer stations?  I just bought a TV tuner & don't know much.  I have not yet installed.  I want to assure you that I know what I'm doing first, so that I'm doing it correctly.

Thanks to all those who can help you. : o).

  • Generator functions agilent modulated the amplitude of the voltage so that the signal

    Hello

    I'm new on the Labview.

I need to provide a series of tensions with increases step on my device and it repeats again and again.

    For example, (5V 0V to 10V 0V 0V 15V) * 5 times

In the past, I turned down on the generator Panel of Agilent 33220 functions by myself.

It's stupid, so I will try to use the Labview to do the same.

I have download the Agilent 33220 Vi function generator has and write a loop for to do this. It can work.

But I found a problem. Each change of amplitude voltage, generator Agilent 33220 A functions will cease to exit and then output the new value.

Because this short period of no output voltage, the dynamic behavior of my device will be destroyed.

    How can I do?

You made a classic mistake. You have placed the Initialize and close inside the loop. The Initialize will, by default, perform a reset feature, which disables the output. Initialize outside a loop, do your stuff inside and close the loop.

Regarding your code: I strongly recommend looking at the model of ramp function. It seems you want to increase the parameters of voltage to zero between the two. This can be easily done by creating your rising tensions ramp and then creating another matrix of the same size zeros and interlacing then the two tables. This will give you a complete range of voltage values, without to need two loops and determine what step you are on, etc. etc. For example, the following code will give you 5, 0, 0, 10, 15, 0 sequence fairly cleanly:

In addition, never perform a comparison of equality on the floats. If not, you owe me nickel one another in my retirement fund.

  • Helps to amplitude modulation

    Dear users of Labview,

Im having trouble with this Modulation of Amplitude. What I want is to change the Amplitude of a sine wave with a rectangular pulse as follows (see figure):

The sine wave of the morning will be the entrance to my DAQ hardware. I thought that this is a strange modulation because I found no info on this type of modulation (only refer to the sine-by-sine modulation).

Any help on this issue would be greatly appreciated

    Best regards, Dennis

Amplitude modulation is just multiplication.  If you multiply your sinusoidal carrier by amplitude modulation signal, you will be there.  There are a lot of subtleties, but it's the essence of it.  The wikipedia article is a good overview and has some nice graphics to explain it.  In LabVIEW, you can multiply two arrays as easily multiply two numbers.  Just them wire for the primitive multiply.

  • Windows Media Center Vista don't tune in digital channels of PCI digital tuner tv.

I recently installed a new Hauppauge WinTV HVR-1600 NTSC? ATSC/QAM tuner in my computer. Its a dual core 2.66 mhz 4GB Ram running Windows Vista Home premium with Windows Media Center. The tuner is made to work with Windows Media Center according to its box. He also had his own software cleaner, IE. WinTV, which I also loaded. I have an antenna hanging good input on the tuner card. That same exact antenna wire hooked to a digital TV Gets the following strings... 6.1 and 6.2 - 6.3 - 8.1 - 8.2-8.3-17.1-17.2 - 17.3 - 22.1
WinTV those gets exactly the same channel list and can display them all. Windows Media Center, after the execution of the installation routine, list the same channels, but do not think that all. Problem channels are 8.2 - 8.3 - 17.1 - 17, 3.  These channels show in the guide as "No Data Available" and when you select them, there is no signal detected. Yet, channel 8.1 and 17.1 gave Guide and discover very well. It is interesting when you go through special antenna Signal: settings: TV: Digital TV the 8.2 problem channels - 8.3 - 17.1 - 17, 3 list all the and are verified with check marks and show full signal strength. I spent time trying to play with the Guides Add announcement & edit channels and add missing channels. Also, I spent time with "Set Up TV signal" several times.
Any suggestions? Why is the windows media center grateful but not display secondary digital channels, still recognizing and displaying the primary digital channel very well. It can be the signal or the pilots, because MyTV of Hauppage shows them all very well.
    Help?

Try windows update.  I use this card with media center 7 and had no problem getting all the digital channels.

  • Windows Media Center will not recognize TV tuner Digital stations live

I am trying to display and record all my content from TV on my laptop using my hybrid analog/digital TV tuner card. So far, the WMC recognizes the analog content. But my cable provider provides many channels of ClearQAM I can see on my TV without a decoder, just using the QAM tuner in the TV. My tuner card is supposed to recognize the QAM signals, so I should be able to view all unencrypted content (users) that comes through the coaxial feeder on my portable tuner. But no luck so far. When I set up the TV signal in WMC, the menu only listed setup analog cable my cable box, even though I know that my cable company provides digital content.
I had actually upgraded my Windows Media Center to include the TV pack (downloaded from Engadget) but even this last version does not recognize digital channels. If I try to change the Program Guide and add them manually, all I get is static when I select the. I am at a loss to know what to do next. Is this a problem that should fix a new TV tuner? I heard good things about the AverMedia card, maybe I should just go that route? Can anyone recommend a new tuner card?

  • Windows Media, duplication of records center

Why, sources multiple WMC insists on making back to back recordings of the same tuner?  I'm pretty well guaranteed that I'll have to watch all my records in order, since the first two minutes of the second record are still back in the last minutes of the first record.

You are right - it is not a hardware problem.  It's rather a long (read: it has been like this for years and between several versions of Media Center) default logic assigning tuner that many of us over at thegreenbutton have complained ad nauseum.

There is one thing that fixes it (sometimes):
When you have two records, back to back, on the same channel, change the option "stop after ' for the first record a hard value (for example" 10 minutes"), rather than normal"xx minutes, when possible."  Who (sometimes, but not always) requires the first record to go long enough that it force MC to use a second tuner for the second record.

You think it's boring?  I have 14 tuners (analog 4, 6 Clear-QAM and 4 CableCARD tuners in my main system (via 2 DualTV MCEB, 3 HDHRs and an InfiniTV4)) and still I get this.  Although there are several available tuners, it always does.  : evil: and ((shrug))

Maybe he'll be fixed in the next version...

  • No digital cable in Media Center?

I am currently under a bridge GT5694 with Vista 64 bit.  I swapped the internal for a Hauppauge WinTV-HVR 1250 tv tuner card wireless card so that I could use the Media Center as a DVR.

I am currently unable to get Media Center to listen to digital channels and can't seem to find any options under setting (or the tuner configuration) to make sweeping digital signals.

The WinTV software is quite capable of tuning in quite a few digital channels unencrypted, but without channel guide or function DVR that I'm dying to WMC.

I searched for the corrections online, but none seems not to work.

    Any suggestions?

Apart from the suggestion of Santosh to ensure that Windows is completely up to date on updates ('important' and 'optional', as there have been several updates to Media Center that fell in both categories), I also recommend that you install the driver package Media Center specific 'good' for this tuner from Hauppauge rather than the drivers updated or CD provided by Windows.
Go to http://www.hauppauge.com/site/support/support_hvr1250.html, then click on the "Install Windows Media Center" tab on this page.  The package you want isMCEKit_setup - it includes the specific drivers for Media Center (as an encoder software for the analog tuner on the card) which are not included in the package 'standard', or provided through WU.

Once you have installed the drivers of such (and rebooted), restart the installation of TV in Media Center.  If MC now gives you the option to set up two tuners (should be), go with it. If not, try selecting "no, I would like to manually configure my signal" - OK now?
When you configure sources Guide tuners, you'll select for the analog tuner and for the digital tuner.

A couple of useful things, too, to put in place a Clear QAM tuner in Media Center (once you get to recognize the tuner, of course):
How to set up a digital cable (ClearQAM) tuner in Windows 7 Media Center: http://www.hdtvtunerinfo.com/win7mcqamsetup.html
    Channel range SiliconDust server: http://www.silicondust.com/support/channels/
The first is a good how-to on setting up; the latter is (often) needed to help mapping channels to Guide listings.

If you are still unable to put in place the two tuners in Media Center, I recommend doing a reset database (sometimes, ah, stuck...):
Open an elevated command prompt.  Run the following command: C:\Windows\eHome\mcupdate.exe - MediaCenterRecoveryTask
(Note the space between the .exe and the dashboard).  Let it run for a few minutes (I don't remember if it will give you a "I'm done" - type confirmation), restart and run the Media Center Setup again (that MC should encourage them to you on his own - he must perform installation of first broadcast.)

  • Media Center Windows disable alert 'No TV Signal'

I have a Windows 7 x 64 media center PC with 2 tuners Haupauge 2250 PCIex a double tuner, and a 2650 dual tuner USB w / card connected to Comcast cable.
Two tuners work very well. The 2250 PCIex has no cable card, so it only gets clear QAM signals. Of the 2650 GETS clear time and encrypted QAM.
I receive many NAGs "no TV signal. How can I disable this Nan? It always saves the show on which he nags.
Is there a way to just disable all of these unnecessary NAGs?

  • How to use the USRP2920 as a CW transmitter

    Hello

For a simple application, I would use the USRP2920 as a CW transmitter.

I would like to generate a signal cw about 101 MHz and the frequency and the amplitude of the signal will change while the program is running.

My first idea was to use the AM modulation with amplitude zero. In this way, only the the carrier signal was generated. I could also simply defined a complex I / Q vectors by zeros.

But I have not found a way to change the amplitude of the carrier.

    Any suggestion?

By the way (...), I need a solution to tomorrow...

  • problem with media center and digital map cable ATI

Installed a tuner with a media center W7 ATI digital cable.  Cable company (Cablevision) active the card and check the signal, all OK.  Several problems. First of all, on channels it tells me that I need to activate windows that has already been done.  In the second place, on channels not premium I only get standard definition not hi-def.  With my old card of clear QAM tuner, I had hi-def on non coded station.  Verify all the information cable card and everything is ok.

Did you run the digital cable Advisor in Media Center Extras Gallery and
    enable digital cable support?

If this has been done with success and you still have problems:

    Hello

There are dozens of models dv5-xxxxaa, only one has these options, one model has these options and you will have to pay for component parts snap. Your machine is a single model.

    Based on this book

    h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c01550108.PDF

You can add the DVB - TV to your computer, BUT you need more than this module, you must buy the antenna module and can be a software to go with it.

    Good luck.
