Two mcu 4205 cluster?

Two mcu 4205 (4.4) with the same software both have 12 media port, now I have to make them work together as an mcu and 12 multimedia ports, have also the active guard and can be composed of devices or conferences by identification number, also I need if one of them is toward the bottom of the can function as main mcu and conferences continue

How can I get there?

Grouping/stacking of the MCU is not supported for 4200 series or 4500 to two MCU operate together as one.

Clustering/stacking is supported only for the 5300 MCU series. You can only cluster/stack two units of the MCU.

The idea of clustering/stacking the MCU is to increase capacity. The cluster will provide the sum of the capacities of the individual units. For example, if group you two microcontrollers that each supports 10 ports x 1080 p you supported a cluster which takes 20 ports x 1080 p.

Optionally you can mount your two cascading 4205 microcontrollers:

http://www.Cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/conferencing/Telepresence-MCU-4505/118763-config-MCU-00.html

Another solution is that you need a Cisco conductor who works with VCS/CUCM.

Take a look at these links for more information about deploying Cisco conductor:

  • Cannot configure a two-node MSCS cluster.

Server configuration iSCSI by Starwind 5.4 on Win7 and Win two, 2003 virtual machines as nodes in cluster on vSphere 4.0. Using Starwind how to configure the Quorum and another disk shared between 2 virtual machines. The path that is on each virtual machine by the Microsoft iSCSI initiator to get both drives shared directly from iSCSI Server (win 7).  When configure a cluster on a node, download info on photo 1, check the yellow error, got the image 2. At the end of the installation, download the info from the error: the network path is not found (photo 3), check the logs of the Win system, download the info on photo 4. Before and after her, with check the 3 NICs IP network and ping them, all of them are good. After putting new IP Address/subnet mask on the network cards that are for the beats, the problem is still there.

I'm confused what is wrong. Is it a problem that the pulse line connects via a vSwitch without physical NETWORK card as Microsoft says heart rate must be connected directly?

I don't think it would be a network ESX problem since all your NETWORK cards are online and respond to pings.   I am curious about your first screen printing where the cluster cannot be brought online due to the INVESTIGATION period is already on the network.   Is it possible that the IP address is in use elsewhere on the network?

I'll move this thread to the VM forum and the guest operating system to see if anyone can help troubleshoot the configuration of comments.

  • Replication Failover clustering & Hyper-v on a two-node cluster

    Hello

We have two identical servers.  One to use as a main server, which houses two virtual machines.  The other should be used as a back up in case the main server is not somehow.  We planned on using a solution of third-party software to back up our virtual machines and launch them in the event of failure of the principal server.  However, we discovered just gave the failover clustering in Windows Server R2 2012.

We have tried to set up a cluster 2 nodes, with our virtual machines properly replicated to the backup server.  Excited by the present, we tried then to simulate failure of the primary server (by pulling on the cable network).  We were a little disappointed to find that the backup server is not automatically run virtual machines.  We did a survey and read than a solution of two nodes requires storage space for additional network (in addition to our two servers).

I wonder if that's okay?  In other words, a two-node failover cluster requires separate network storage space.  If this is not correct, can someone point me to a set of instructions to correctly configure a two-node failover cluster that will automatically launch the virtual machines on the server backup (in the case of a failure of the principal server).

    Thank you

  • VCS Cluster - record H.323

    Hi all

We have a VS Cluster and would like to register 2 MCU´s and a gateway with H.323 on it.

-Inscription on the first not peer very well - no prob. record of 2. Peer - does not (source unauthenticated received fron)

VCS Trace... no this crypto token / / invalid cryptographic tokens.

Its allways happened on 2. peer.

Restart the MCU, restart Cluster, see time servers, disabling / enabling H.323 in VCS and MCU - all done, always the same failure.

VCS Cluster / MCU / ISDN are all in the same subnet, but in another location. RTD between the location is less than 10 ms.

BTW: SIP with tls runs without any risks.

    Does anyone have an idea?

Thank you much for your helping hands

    /Dirk

In general this should not happen.

You said you checked the time servers, but have you also checked the actual time on the

VCS and the endpoint? (for example the login as root and check with the date).

Try to use the same NTP server on all VCS and endpoints.

Is the group itself ok (see configuration / clustering)?

Something not ok with the zone configurations?

You have any local specific or server based CPLs on VCS?

No matter what firewall/nat/alg between VCS and the endpoint?

Do you have a xconfig on two VCS and compare the config of the differences?

Your sure it's the right vcs you hit?

Do you still review log files and compare what's happening the first relative to each other?

A tcpdump and check on the VCS of debugging can be interesting as well.

  • 2 microcontrollers in cluster with redundancy

    Hello

I went thorugh some messages on this forum.

and it turns out that it is impossible to have redundancy when two microcontrollers in same cluster if we conductor.

But just in case, I want to discuss once more.

Make the duplex-MCUs(when master failed during the calls, slave gets calls),

    What can we do?

Suppose you have two MCU 5320, a conductor.

    Van

    Best wishes

    Paul.

When clustering MCUs and a failure occurs:

    • If it fails, it will be the slave, the slave being related to the master.
    • case of failure of the slave, the master will always be online and running, but without the additional capacity of the slave.

If you want a full redundancy, you will need to run two microcontrollers independently from each other and use a driver.  You will not get the functionality of additional for each MCU capacity because they are not grouped, but you get resilience.

As you said there are several other discussions on this topic.

  • Grouping of different MCU series

I have a client with and old and a new microcontroller, he would like to cluster two of them to have ports up.

    MCU OLD: 4510 Version: s4.1 (1.51)

    New MCU: 5320 Version 4.4

Under the new version 4.5, its supports two MCU.

    My questions:

1.) if I spend two MCUS at the same version, I can their cluster.

2.) if I don't pass the OLD MCU, is there anyway I can their cluster.

Also don't I have to have a key cluster support to make it work.

    Thank you.

It is not possible to combine different MCU models, all microcontrollers must be the same model to be clustered, the only exception to this is, this is the where you can group different of the MCU 5000 series models. Everything simply because the software MCU supports clusters, means that the material is, check out the specific model of MCU to see if it supports clusters. Grouping microcontrollers require a key option, however with the MCU 5000 series it requires a stacking cable, if media MCU clustering refers to its deployment guides on how to create a cluster.

  • SFR in license cluster mode?

If I run two ASAs in cluster mode, is there a special setting that I need to do on the modules of sfr?

The pair of cluster ASAs forwards traffic to the two modules of sfr?

Documentation is very vague on the subject of sourcefire, clustering, everything he says really is to "maintain a coherent policy on the modules of sfr and do not use areas during your period.

Are there additional licenses required? IE I have control of x 2 + protect however only 1 AMP / URL license

Does this mean that only SFR modules can process the malware and URL filtering?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

    Thank you

Are you running the ASAs in a pair of Active-Standby HA with module of firepower on each of them?

If so, the licensing of the modules must match each module. Otherwise, you will not be able to appply URL filtering and policy file (AMP) on one of the modules.

If the ASAs are truly in a cluster 2 nodes (not active-Standby) so it is even more important that licenses match because only by flow of traffic can take another Member as a transfer device.

Ideally simply build you a set of policies in the Management Center FireSIGHT and apply them to two modules of firepower.

  • C90 w/4210/5320 MCU H.239 Frame Rate

I admit the departure, it's "H.239 101" type question, but our environment is transitional on very old rooms of 4:3 which were never designed to manage content on separate screens so I'm just now my hands dirty with the intended user, experience sharing content.

My question is around H.239 - cadence for C90 endpoints as well as MCU-4210/5320...on the surface, it seems that they are able to share plenty of movement, full-video cadence in the H.239 channel, right? must be able to handle 720 p, 30 frames per second?

In tests, I connected a C90 to two MCU to the relatively high rate of calls (1.5 MB, 2,0 MB) and when I check stats, H.239 channel turns to the expected bitrate and resolution-but very low frequency of frames... between 4/7 frames per second

I think I am missing some setting commonly or game setting between the endpoint and MCU.

In addition to setting minimum outflow for the content on the MCU, what other effects H.239 - cadence? I tried to play with the settings of weight main/presentation in the C90, but does not appear to affect the results.

Thanks in advance for any response

Take a look at this discussion, cisco-mse-8510-content-frame-rate-and-resolution-limitations.  In short, the cadence of the content that is being received and sent by the MCU are dependent on how you have the quality that is configured for the endpoint PC Input, that is to say: (default) sharpness or movement.  There is no middle ground, or dynamic parameters, it's one of those two.

  • Configure a cluster of vsphere with 2 host with internal storage shared via HP LeftHand - doubts

Hi, I'm trying to create a two-node esxi cluster. These nodes will share their internal storage with HP Lefthand Appliance (HP StoreVirtual VSA). I need the first steps to create the cluster, or better, the macro blocks, IE:

    -install esxi on each node
-install Virtual Center and create the vmware cluster

    -Deploy the VM VSA...

I have a lot of doubts because of the reason why I can't have (installation of the HP guide said) virtual machines on other than the VM VSA itself VSA data store. How can I configure things? Creating first two warehouses of data, deploy VCenter on a data store, create the cluster, deploy VSA VM on the other data store...

    Can you help me please?

DL380G5 host as the location for the ODM is ok, but you may need to upgrade the host in any case since v12 FOM requires ESXi 5.0 or newer.

... what happens if the update fails and the hypervisor does not start more?

I know we can't answer a question with a question. Anyway, how do save you virtual machines on this host now?

It is true that the VSA VM cannot be migrated, but I can migrate the VCenter to a to another data store when I will have created the DATA of VSA data store (one that the hypervisor consider as an iSCSI target), I'm good?

I'm sure that it is correct. Unless I'm missing something, vCenter Server is just another virtual machine running on the cluster VSA VSA does not require vCenter Server to run.

Centos7-02 512 MB of RAM, 300 MB booking, no reservation of CPU

I am using vCenter 5.5 and 5.5 esxi

Whenever I start Ubuntu01 I get the error: "insufficient resources to meet the failover configured for vSphere HA.

When I change Ubuntu01 to RAM of 1200 MB to 1000 MB, I can start to Ubuntu01, but after that I can't start Centos7-01.

Can someone please explain to me why it does not work?

A two hosts HA cluster with admission control by default settings, and only 4 GB of memory is not real good environment for the test. In any case, a host in a HA cluster requires a minimum of about 2.4 GB of memory, which may explain why there is only one location of 1 032 GB available for each host.

    Hello Andrew

It is possible to deploy desktop computers view in two different groups in the same ms as well as two different groups under different domain controllers. However, where are deployed clones full and linked clone depends on where the image of the mother or the model is present. If the view desktop computers that are in the same pool will be deployed where the master image is present.
