U2713H stuck in the diagnosis

When I turned on my monitor this morning I have no image. The screen rotates just between red blue green black and grey screens. I tried another screen with my computer and that works fine so it must be the U2713 analyze that does not work. It seems to be stuck in a diagnostic mode. I can't access the menu using key 4. The only button that responds to the start is the input selection button.

Any suggestions gratefully received.

I tried a few times without success. Having resigned to the monitor with a permanent defect, I decided to buy a new Dell U2415 which I've now set up in my system.

Being an engineer I hesitated to relegate the old U2713H for scrap, so today that I gave it one more try. As I walked through the procedure my wife came and spoke sternly to the defective monitor. Guess what? on the next attempt to reset it did well in life. So I have now two monitors.

The importance is that 30 seconds press and hold the power switch? Seems really weird that it took several attempts to clear the factory mode. And I don't know how he got in this mode that I am the only user and I did it.

Anyway thanks for the help of Chris.

    Hello

    Try the following.

First, use another PC to create a bootable Windows 10 DVD or a USB Flash drive via the following link.  Under the section "Imperative to create a cable USB, DVD or ISO", download the media creation tool.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/Windows10

Once you have it, run the tool, select 'Create the installation media for another PC', then select the language edition of Windows 10 and 64-bit.

Follow the rest of the guests to create this and then click on finish when done.

Insert the Installation of Windows 10 support and stop the laptop by pressing the power button for 10 seconds.

Click next to the ESC key as soon as you press the power button to enter the Boot Menu, and then select the Boot Options Menu ( f9 ).

Use the arrow keys to highlight the CDROM (uefi) or USB Flash Driver (uefi) option, according to the type of media you created, then press on enter – if you are prompted to "Press any key to continue...". "- make.

I am connected wirelessely, I can print a page of diagnosis of my computer over the wireless link.

I can add documents to the file print, and I can delete them later. For this purpose eth ewireless link works.

I verified that the IP address is Ok.

However, I can't delete the document that seems to have blocked the system.  I see nothing in the help file or the diagnoses for this problem.

    Need help.

    Hi Martin,

    Try the following.

From the desktop, hold down the Windows key and press R.  In the run window, type services.msc and press to enter.  Scroll down to the print spooler service, right click and select Properties, then click the Stop button.  Now search for C:\Windows\System32\Spool\PRINTERS, then delete the work inside this folder - you may need to click a command prompt to get the authority to open the PRINTERS folder.

Restart the computer and you should find that the document has been deleted.

  • Stuck on the screen of HP recovery and cannot start windows

    HP Pavilion
    Model: 17 - 1215dx

If you need the serial number or the fn, just ask. I didn't post too much sensitive information.

It was originally 10 64-bit windows... but now has 8.1 Windows 64-bit
    i5 8gig of RAM processor

Literally just close the lid and open it upwards and it wouldn't boot windows. It is stuck at the screen HP saying it's diagnose my problem. Tried a soft reset and a hard reset when you remove the battery and put it again while it is unplugged. Did not help. I can't start in safe mode. I tried to do a restore which has been a success but it restarts when he says "there was a problem, restart your PC. I'm frustrated and reset a factory and the same factory reset was successful and was when he came back to 8.1 because it's the OS, I bought it with but then it still wouldn't let me in windows. I was going to try and start to repair, but if I had known this would require an administrator I'd never have done the factory reset. I know I've been reckless, but I just wanted to work. But yes, I don't know what the problem is. I feel like if it was a hardware problem is just something to keep windows to operate. Should I try a repair disk? Would that help?

    The SecretLight

    Hello;

Let me welcome you on the HP forums!

I read your post you need to grab your laptop and wanted to help - but we need more information.

You said that your laptop came originally with Win10, but then later, you said you tried to go back to Win8.1, you can then said, it's the original OS.

So, who was the original - Win8.1 or Win10?

Ask because if it came with Win8.1 and you UPGRADED to Win10, while Microsoft tells you that there is no risk in the upgrade of Win10, because they allow you to believe that you can always go back to your original OS and setup within 30 days, the ugly matter faction is that the Win10 GoBack feature turned out to be unreliable - and when it fails She can let the machines in a corrupt State - which is not always the case, it happens often enough to be a problem, but you will get no warning beforehand that he goes to the trash your PC!

The Win10 upgrade is known, in some cases, corrupt the partition of recovery that are stored by the OEM that built the original machine.  It's pretty much guarantee that no HP recovery will work.

What will work restores your computer to its original factory state using HP recovery media. It is a set of DVD and a CD or a USB key, which will erase the hard drive (removing all data, applications and settings, reinstall the original OS, drivers and utilities for HP. In some cases, you will be able to order a USB instead of discs.  You must order at HP; they cannot be downloaded.

You can look online for recovery from the paged media related: http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers

Once there, enter your product name or number. On your software page and download the drivers, select your operating system and version. Click on "Update".  If the HP recovery support is available for your computer, down near the bottom of the page, you will see an entry for the command Recovery Media-CD/DVD/USB. Click on the symbol '+' to expand this entty and click on order to press for more details.

Or, if you prefer, you can do the same by contacting HP Customer Service:

If you live in the United States or the Canada, details are on this page: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/phone-assist.html#section1

If you live elsewhere, contact details are on this page: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/ww-contact-us.html

NOTE: once you get through, stay on the line until you are finally able to talk to someone ' one - it can take a while!

    Good luck

  • Printing problems with XP and Lexmark-documents are just stuck in the print queue

Original title: printing problems with XP and Lexmark

Until yesterday, I was able to print OK using Windows XP and a Lexmark Printer series 3500-4500 with wireless capabilities.  Reported network test wireless (on printer) and report indicates that there are no reported problem, also did the diagnostic test and which shows no problem either.  I can't print and documents are just stuck in the print queue - please can someone help, it drives me crazy because it's probably a very simple solution.

I guess you do not have all of the error messages.

It is possible that comes to mind that your printer has received a new IP address of your router (this could easily happen if you have several computers and other devices that connect to your wireless network).

Find the IP address of the printer of his network diagnostic page.
Click Start > printers and faxes, right-click the printer and select Properties
Select the Ports tab, then click on the button "Configure Port" (be careful NOT to click anywhere in the list of ports)
Make sure that the IP address in 'Port settings' is identical to that shown on the diagnosis of your network printer page.

To avoid this problem in the future, you must configure the printer to have a static IP address.  See your printer User Guide for instructions.

Choose an appropriate subnet address (i.e., has the first 3 groups of numbers the same as the other addresses in your network) but who is not in the range of addresses assigned by the DHCP server on your router.  See the User Guide of your router for more details.

  • Installation KB2618444 stuck on the reboot of the system

    "8258/16289 (\Registry\machine\Schema\ wcm://Microsoft-Windows-IE-Plugga...).
Then another attempt to start the computer prompts you to select Launch Startup Repair.  Then he showed:
Windows could not start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause. ...

So I had to use the Vista recovery to repair/restore my computer disk using the system to start Windows restore to be able to start Windows.  Then I retried Windows Update again, and it was always exactly the same.  Then I tried to isolate the updates and finally went down in KB2618444 (Cumulative Security Update for IE8) which causes this problem which always has the same symptoms as described above.

How could I solve this problem?

    Hello

    You can view these methods:
    Method 1:
I suggest you to disable any program of security on your computer and check if it solves the problem.
After reviewing the question you must reactivate the security on your computer program.

Note: Run the computer without antivirus software or firewall is a potential threat to the computer; Be sure to activate security software after completing the troubleshooting steps and after identifying the problem.

  • Tried to update in Windows Vista Home Premium, stuck in the "Configuring updates" and "reboot" loop 11/05/2011

Hello! I have a portable M-6752 Gateway under Vista Home Premium.  It was perfectly functional this morning 11/05/2011.  Then I noticed the sign (of exclamation in a circle) who said the new updates.  So I started the update and thought nothing of it.  It was until an hour later and I realize that my laptop was still updated.

Right now I am stuck in a loop between "Configuring updates: stage 3 of 3-0% complete.»  Do not turn off your computer' and auto restart.
I tried to restart in 'safe mode' and 'safe mode with network.  These attempts did not help.  I'm still stuck in the loop and my laptop is overheating.  The only thing I could do was to be able to.  Fact that several times already.
Fortunately, I have another laptop and is able to ask for help.  Can someone help me?  I'm NOT a technical person.  Thank you.

Thank you, but my laptop WAS running Service Pack 2 when this problem happened.  It has been resolved.  For anyone having this problem, here is my experience and solution.

When I found myself stuck in a loop and my laptop keeps restarting without giving an error message, it began to overheat.  I turned off.  When I turned on it again the screen "Advanced Boot Options" appeared.  I chose 'Safe Mode'.  Then, I went to "Configuring updates...". ».  Machine started himself reboot again.  It happened a few times.  Finally I had to turn the phone off again.  All of a sudden when I turned on again, the "Windows Error Recovery" screen comes on.  There is a choice, 'Launch Startup Repair'.  I chose this.  Machine asked me if it is allowed to create restore point.  Of course.  Then I GOT!  I was saved by Windows self-diagnosis program.
If you are not familiar with the screens that I mentioned, please search 'screen name' and the word 'image' as a whole.  You will see what these screens look like.
Now I realize there is another way to reach the Startup Repair.  When you turn on again, press the F8 key several times.  Which will bring you to the early Startup Options screen.  On advance Boot Options, there is a choice 'repair your computer', scroll down to this choice, press ENTER.
Turning off my machine during the restart is another way to force the "early start Options" screen appears.
I read that some do not have the "Repair your computer" option according to your PC in the screen «In advance Startup Options»  You will need to know how to get to the "Windows Error Recovery" screen.
As a last resort, you can restart Vista recovery disk.  Many manufacturers do not understand that when they send the PC for you.  However, it is available for download for free on the internet.  You can download and make your own within 30 minutes.  I hope this helps!
  • Computer not finding networks, stuck on the Logging Off screen in Vista

For the past two weeks, if I simply close my laptop while it is running, most of the time when I try to open it up my wireless network does not connect automatically. I have to click 'Connect to' in my Start menu and manually connect to the network. The only problem is, sometimes it will fail to find a network and when I try to manually go to 'Connect to', it does nothing. Nothing comes up at all. I have to restart my computer. Once I try to restart, it sticks on the screen "Logging Off". I also tried to disconnect just opened a session back, but it's still stuck on this screen. I am then forced to make a hard closed down by holding down the power button.

  • Jobs FRUSTRATED stuck in the queue on Officejet 6500 with IP printing

I'm especially frustrated because I just typed in many details, and when I click on "Preview" my text disappeared. Thank you, HP!

Like others, I have an Officejet 6500 E709n. Print a test page, the diagnosis, the HP printer utility page, I cannot print any document. "They simply wander in the queue with the message host ' 192.168.2.6 network ' is busy. retrying in 10 seconds... forever. Yes, I tried to delete and add the printer again and he gets found very well.

    I can print with USB.

I can print with Hello (but which is slow, so I turned off)

It's okay if my OS X 10.5.8 laptop is connected wirelessly or through ethernet.

The printer is connected to the router Wireless Ethernet. At the present time, my mac is connected to the same router by ethernet. I just started the HP printer utility and printed page setup very well, showing the ink levels.

I'm guessing that it is a problem of intellectual property, and that the HP printer utility uses a different protocol to connect to the printer. Yes?

Fine, I can print from Windows 7 computer that is connected by ethernet on the same network. IP addresses are correctly reserved.

Please, someone help. I have a forthcoming major surgery and won't be able to walk upstairs to the office, so I really want to be able to print wireless from below. I bet once wired print jobs, the wirelss go, too.

Well well, thanks to the kind soul who wrote this:

You can also modify an existing printer driver:

    (1) system preferences > Print & Fax

    2) click your printer

    3) click on the Options button & supplies

    4) click on the driver tab at the top

    (5) in 'print using... '. "drop-down, choose Select printer software...

    (6) locate HP OfficeJet Pro L7700 in the list

I followed the instructions to turn my printer OfficeJet OfficeJet Pro L7700 6500n driver. Let the JetDirect Protocol.

Now I can print when connected to the Ether - and I can print duplex. AND I can print wireless.

To sum up: If your print jobs stuck in the queue to print on a HP OfficeJet 6500n, but you can ping the printer or you connect via the HP printer utility, the following workaround solution:

Change the IP to JetDirect Protocol

Change the 6500n to OfficeJet Pro L7700 OfficeJet printer driver.

  • Photosmart C7280 will not communicate with the network. The diagnosis says that the Radio does not

Photosmart C7280 C5582A work through a MacBook via a Mac (OS 10.5.7) wireless router was working fine last week.  Today when I tried to print, the printer was stuck in the "printing page 37%.  When I checked the Print Manager, the printer was "slowed" and since I had a lot of trouble with this printer connection before losing, I did what HP told me the last time which was to remove the printer and then recharge it.  Except that this time, once the printer has been deleted, he could not find the printer even after I restarted the wizard and reinstated the SSID and WPA many times.  I have reset the printer and the router by turning off and disconnect power provided, but he still had the same problem.  When I ran the diagnosis, he told me: 'Pass on Radio, Radio work on failure, not plugged cable Ethernet-Pass' the rest of diagnosis is "not run" and other data on diagnostic tests are the Mac addess.  The Diagnostic says the "wireless radio does not work.  Contact HP support.  Unfortunately, it's evening Sat and HP support is closed.  Any help or is this printer dead?  (I spent a fortune on ink cartridges)

It is indeed a hardware problem then.  I'm sorry.

I always believe that repair costs would be better put towards buying a new printer.

However, there may be options that I'm not aware where do not have access to.  This document has some support listed options.

However, I recommend you contact HP support at the 1-800-474-6836 (to the United States and Canada).  Phone support can provide that more than an estimate on the repair or replacement of the printer with HP and you could compare this with the cost of a new printer.

A new printer is under warranty and most likely to be an improvement on an older printer.

My Iphone has been unusually slow. So I tried to update my phone I thought it's maybe the old version of the IOS that makes my phone lag (I think I downloaded the latest version, 10. something). While trying to update my phone, it crashed at halfway. Now I'm stuck on the screen that appears when your phone has been updated (white background, that invites you to enter the password and put in place). However, after putting in my access code and attempts to connect to the wifi, my phone indicates that the wifi password is incorrect, this is not. Also, when I try to connect through mobile data it shows that "your phone could not be activated because the activation server is not reachable. Try to connect your iphone to iTunes to activate it, or try via the mobile connection in a few minutes... ».
