U2715H, connected via HDMI or through DP?

Hello.

I have a U2715H monitor and consider buying a more. My video card has only one output port of DP. Where my questions:

1. If I connect the second monitor via HDMI, the U2715H still will work at maximum capacity?

2 would it not be better to use a CDM (male) to HDMI Cable (male) to connect the monitor instead of a (male) HDMI to HDMI Cable (male)?

3. how worth it would be that would buy a new video card (which has several ports of DP) it?

Note: I hesitate to do that because I met major problems after installing a new map recently and had to revert to the original. But I'll try again, if my monitors don't work 100% connected via HDMI.

Thank you!

Display port will give you 4K.  HDMI will not

    > And my HDMI works with monitors, TV (but sometimes!), etc.

If s computer laptop HDMI port works correctly in relationship with other devices, I think that the problem is related to your laptop.

What happens exactly when the projector is connected? Can you pass to the external video using the FN + F5 key combination?

  • Popping / crackling sound when the Satellite L650-1PQ is connected via HDMI

    Hi all

I have recently connected my laptop to the TV via HDMI, and I hear his pop/cracking every time the music, video or games is played. I tested the speakers with my MP3 player and the Xbox, and there is no POPs or crackles when I'm with them.

I've updated to the latest drivers from Toshiba, but it has not yet resolved the issue.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Care of my system is as follows:

    Processor: 2.66 GHz Intel Core i5 480M
    RAM: 4 GB DDR3 RAM
OS: 64 - bit Windows 7 Home Premium
Graphics card: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650

    > I have recently connected my laptop to the TV via HDMI, and I hear his pop/cracking every time the music, video or games is played

The crackling is in from the TV speakers. Right?

Can you hear the Crackle even using headphones or speakers for laptop?
If not, then I think that this problem could be related to his driver.

In your case, I would check the settings in the control panel-> sound-> playback-> audio digital-> set up

    Thanks for any help

    > Is there a problem with a hdmi cable or with drivers?
Who knows?  :| I think that you will have to test it.

You could try to reinstall the HDMI Control Manager. This driver is required for your HDMI controller.
If the question will always be, I recommend that you test different HDMI cables.

  • Satellite A100-062 - connect via HDMI LCD monitor

    Hello

I wish I could connect my laptop Satellite A100-062 to LCD TV.
The TV has a HDMI input. I understand that I could get a cable to connect DVI to HDMI, but I'm not sure I'd be able to output/DVI laptop computer.

Is it possible to connect the laptop to a TV LCD with HDMI? If so, how would that be better achieved? Do I need a series of cables converters?

Any comments on this would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello

As much as I know this laptop can't stand out DVI, or HDMI port.
It supports only s-video and RGB (monitor) output port.

My Satellite phone supports a HDMI port output. The external monitor supports DVI and HDMI.
I connected my laptop via a DVI-HDMI laptop/DVI HDMI cable on my monitor.

I don't know if there is a RGB to HDMI adapter I doubt m
    But I found another solution;
You can use a cable S-video to SCART and was able to connect the converter as Lindy - SCART to HDMI between laptop and TV or LCD display.
This converter is not cheap, but it s about 120Euros

  • Satellite Pro L670 - connection via HDMI to TV Toshiba

    Hello! Guys,

    Newbie here so be gentle.

My son bought a Tosh L670 with HDMI output. He tried in vain to connect to our Toshiba LCD 42 "HD Tv via the HDMI 3 connection. All he gets is a blue screen on the TV. Anyone know how to get the laptop appears on the TV please... before it does my head! We tried every HDMI connection and get the same result - a blue screen on the TV.

Be forced for any advice you can give.

When you connect your laptop to TV HDMI port check that you use on TV. Also make sure that sure this port is enabled on the TV.
After checking all this use the FN + F5 key combination and switch to TV mode.

Using the FN + F5 key combination, you will have several options. This is also described in the document s user manuals.

If please test and let us know if it works or not.

  • Monitor connected via HDMI to VGA connector does not

My Pavilion p6598uk has an ATI Radeon HD5450 with a DVI and HDMI output. I have a monitor connected to the DVI output via a VGA Converter thing, it works very well. I am trying to connect a second display on the HDMI output using HDMI cable to VGA. This does not at all. It is an OLD monitor (10 years) but works ok if I plug it into the DVI/VGA Converter.

Monitor just says no: «No sighnal video» I tried 2 different cables and my drivers are up to date.

Is it possible to connect an old (not HD) monitor to the HDMI output? If so, what am I doing wrong? Would this work if I bought a new HD TV to use as a monitor?

    Windows 7 64 bit

    All solutions gratefully received.

You cannot convert HDMI to VGA without some serious gear digital analog conversion. You cannot use a device simple passthough like you can do with a DVI-I/VGA cable adapter. You will need to use an HDMI cable and a monitor that has a HDMI or DVI - I/D connector.

  • Satellite P300 connected via HDMI receiver Onkyo 607 - no sound

    Hello

I have the Satellite P300 1BB for awhile and I'm very happy with it. But now I have a problem with the P300 HDMI port. I connected with my Onkyo TX - SR 607 5.1 receiver HDMI. The image is there, but there is no sound. If I connect the P300 directly to my plasma tv, then there's sound through HDMI.

I have updated the Conexant audio driver to version 4.83.1.0. The Panel mixer, audio, the audio driver for AMD HDMI Conexant is not connected when I use the 607. It is connected (and works perfectly) if I use the plasma tv.

Is it possible to get this working?

    Hello abdoulraak

Please don't be crazy about me, but how you write that you have problems with port HDMI on Satellite P300 when working with TV. I think you have problem with your receiver Onkyo 607.
All of these updates will be not useful at all and you should check s manual Onkyo to see how it works and what kind of parameters that you can use the receiver itself.

You have activated a right channel of the receiver? I have big receiver Technics and all the ports on the back will be used with a separate channel that needs to be enabled.

See receiver manuals and collect information how it works exactly.

    Hello

I'm having a problem connecting my Aspire 5750 G to my TV through my HDMI cable. Nothing has changed with my TV or my cable and all my video and audio drivers are up to date. Is there another way to solve this problem?

    Hello

Check if the HDMI Audio is listed in Control Panel.

Click Start ==> Panel ==> Sound ==> Playbacktab Select. If HDMI Audio is listed here, make sure that the green check mark is listed. If not, just click on any space and select show disabled or disconnected devices. Then right-click on the HDMI Audio and select as a default device.

    Thank you best regards n

    Mark,

Please go through the information provided in http://windows.microsoft.com/en-IN/windows7/work-and-play-better-with-multiple-monitors

    Browse the information in http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_vista-pictures/no-signal-on-tv-when-connected-pc-to-it-using-hdmi/2168c897-a7bd-4420-b4c8-2a4b10e90ccf

Note: the above links are for Windows 7, but the procedure does not work for Windows 8.

You can even try to connect the TV using a VGA cable and check if that helps. (Just a work around to check if the TV receives the signal)

Through the properties of Nvidia and go in the control settings and check the display options and check if the TV is displayed.

    Let us know the results.
