U400 updated Touchpad

Note: Please go down to the replica of dngnuyen a link for the latest driver. The one currently on the site for the U400 Lenovo driver is outdated. I didn't score it as a solution, as I still have to test carefully and still believe that he can do better.

It is more than a troubleshooting problem investigation.

I must say that the touchpad is terribly even with the latest update, which is a real shame because it's a beautiful machine otherwise. I installed the latest drivers and tweaked with the parameters as much as possible, always it underperformed.

Questions:

-The sensitivity of the Palm is very pronounced. If you reduce the sensitivity to touch to help this problem then you create another by a lack of sensitivity when using it to navigate the cursor.

-The actions are incompatible. Scroll and zoom are painful. I do not compare to Macbook gestures but they are very difficult to use correctly and consistency.

Regarding the other gadgets and three shots of four fingers, is not a big deal, however, it would be nice to be able to customize this enormous touchpad with some features and more.

So what I really want to know, is if the owners of this model can be expected to more updates/improvements to this material?

If this isn't the case, I plan to return it since I paid a slight premium for these features and I can make the most of the smaller and more consistent trackpads.

This is the driver that you guys are looking. It took me forever to find. Cypress Touchpad sucks! Enjoy!

  • Satellite U400 - update BIOS for Vista 32 bit to Windows 7 64-bit

I currently have Vista 32 bit on my U400. I intend to do a clean install of Windows 7 64-bit. I downloaded all the necessary drivers on the Toshiba site for the 64-bit Windows 7 update. I noticed there is a BIOS of Vista 64 bit driver. Do I need to install this before you proceed with the installation or after?

So, is there a particular order to install all the drivers, utilities and applications?

    Thank you

    Hey Buddy,

Normally, this update of the BIOS must be made. You will need to use all the features of your laptop.

I have improved my U400 Vista 32 bit to Vista 64-bit. After this update I started the update of the BIOS. Everything worked properly during this procedure because I closed all programs that are running (also AntiVirus/firewall) and was registered as an administrator.

About installation order I didn t find a specific list, so I used this command:
    -Chipset
    -Display
    -Sound
    -LAN
    -WLAN
    -Card reader

  • Questions of Touchpad on Satellite A100

    Hi all,

My name is Bill, and I bought a Satellite A100 6 months.

I am facing a strange problem with my touchpad. More precisely, the right button does not respond. Sometimes it automatically snaps and other time she made a left click unlike my settings that I put to right click.

Usually, I use a USB external mouse and I do my job all of a sudden the right button is clicked without clicking.

The most interesting is that I sent my laptop to my local service and they had replaced the touchpad with a new, but after a while (about 1 month) the problem reappears.

Can - what someone knows something about this? I gather that maybe the motherboard is responsible, but I'm not sure.

I want to note that I checked almost anything on software problems (I used the recovery CD, I installed new drivers for touchpad, I watched updated touchpad and so on)

    I think I'm very unlucky.

    Kind regards

    Bill

    Hello

a solution would be maybe to send your machine to your servicepartner once again and to quote the problem persists.
If they ask you, then tell you think so it may be something with the main card. Then they will check it properly.

    :)

You know, if you have already checked everything, this may be a hardware problem.

  • HP 15-f337 Touchpad settings forget... tried everything

I have a laptop of 15-f337 nine HP supplied with Windows installed 10.  I've updated touchpad drivers and all the recent Windows updates.  Still the touchpad restores the settings by default whenever the power is turned on.  I don't want the tactile click function.  I searched this forum and tried all the solutions and I have concluded that it is a design flaw that has not been resolved.  Looks like HP is at a standstill and hoping people will give up.

    Hello

    Try the following.

Hold down the Windows key and press R

In the run box, type regedit and press enter

In the registry editor, navigate to the following

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Synaptics\SynTP\Install

Inside, look for a key named DeleteUserSettingsOnUpgrade

If it is present, right click on the key and select Edit

Set the field data of the value 0 (zero) , and then click Ok.

    Close the registry editor.

Make the Synaptics setting changes you need in the usual way and save them, and then check if they are now kept after a reboot.

  • Elite HP book 8560p: frozen touchpad

Product REVIEW of BIOS and XU063UT #ABA 68SCF VER number. F.61

My touchpad is frozen. I was dragging a few photos in a file. May touch some other keys at same time to use the touchpad. A light appeared in the upper left of the touchpad and the cursor is frozen. I read some of the answers forum & tried a few suggestion. The power one of the battery first, no change. I downloaded updated touchpad software, no change.

I will add for the last year the touchpad seem to start to lose the tactile function of right to left, was living with her. I tried the zone configuration of the touchpad, it would work on the Setup screen only. Most of the time I hit the key several times to get an action to happen (on the left side of the button).

CORRECTED, after reading from HP website, determined somehow the touchpad has been disabled. Unknown how. Light was in the upper left corner of the button was. Hit the corner turns twice.

    > My N t130, press, left and made a right click of buttons stopped working. an external mouse works fine

Check if you did not disable yourself. I don't know much about your model, but usually you can do with fn + f9. On my laptop, it has a touchpad enable/disable button, to check your. Remove the usb mouse to check if it works, I know if you conncet the external mouse touchpad disable.

  • Why used my right click menu disappear?

anyway I put my mouse, right-click menu appears, even if I right click and I can't seem to stop. It takes ages to type anything because I have to click and then move my mouse to a place where a right click menu will not pop up.

    Morgan23,

Hello, this problem starts after installing new programs? It's a laptop? I've seen that happen before and updated touchpad drivers helped. Also, please do a full scan with your antivirus. Please post back with more information, if it does not help.

  • G62-340US: laptop freezes constantly

    HP G62 - 340US Laptop, 3 GB, AMD Athlon II PC340 Dual Core 2.20 GHz, Windows 7 64-bit (product #XH066UA #ABA)

I just can't take more.  Since the first day, this laptop has been poor performance.  Hang in there too.  Takes forever to open a program or a browser.  Anytime you click anywhere, the blue spinssssssssssssss circle.

How can I reformat to factory settings if I do not all discs?  I don't think this will fix the issue because it was so out of the box.  I tried so many different things to boost performance (updated touchpad driver, updating the bios, remove the starting applications, etc.) but it does not matter.  I was going to upgrade the RAM 8 GB / 3GB, but I don't think that it should be considered to prevent him from hanging.

Just want to go back to factory settings and re - assess.

    Thank you.

    @Barbenae ,

Hello and thanks for the display on the HP support forums.

With a laptop computer hooked up here there's several reasons for this.

Have you cleaned your laptop to reduce the accumulation of things on the heatsinks and fans for the laptop can be cooled?

Have set you your system power settings?

Did you run the diagnostics of hardware BIOS to see if it is a RAM problem or hard drive?

If this is not the case, here are a few links to check.

Test a hard drive from BIOS

Laptops HP - diagnostic system (F2)

    PC HP hardware diagnostics

Regarding the recovery of the system, there is a link on how to do so.

Performing a recovery of HP (Windows 8) system

    I hope this helps you.

Thanks again for posting and have a great day.

    You did recently change?
It is while you use other applications?

I suggest that you update touchpad and display drivers for the cards and check.
    1. open Device Manager by clicking the Start button, click on the Control Panel, clicking system and Maintenance, and then clicking Device Manager. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
    2. in Device Manager, locate the touchpad, and then double-click the device name.
    3. click Driver tab, then click on set to update driver and follow the instructions.
    4. now Locate Display Adapter and then double-click the device name.
    5. click Driver tab, then click on set to update driver and follow the instructions.

Now, try to follow the link provided to update a hardware driver that is not working properly and check the question below.
