  I use Linux Ubuntu Edgy under my laptop and when I play UT2004 I got a rate of about 90fps, but after 10 minutes of play fps drastically drop to 15/20 fps!

  I noticed that the pleasure never operate at full speed on linux! and to check I suspended my laptop and ubuntu has a bug that when you turn on your computer again, the fan will always run at full speed, so I went with the fan at full speed play UT again for about 1 h 30 and the FPS does not let it go this time, so I concluded that it is a heating problem.

  I installed omnibook but my phoenix bios do not support the fans... under windows, I have no problem.

  I have no problem with Edgy on U200, with games such as Sauerbraten.

  Occur in mode full screen? You can try the workaround below.

  Press Cmd_Shift_F to switch the display in single window mode, and then Cmd_Shift_F to go back to full screen.

  Trying to correctly install and configure 10g Express version on Ubuntu Linux 8.04 Server without success. I'm a noob Linux and Oracle and tries to install the database under the Project.net service.
  
  I followed installation guide of Oracle Database Express Edition for linux I got from Oracle's Web site.
  
  I installed the deb package with gdebi.. .deb (and later reinstalled with dpkg - i .deb..) as described in the guide. Go 'by the book' I ran /etc/init.d/oracle-xe set up and confirmed the default values. I put the password for the SYS and SYSTEM account. The value DB autostart. I also ran the /usr/lib/oracle/xe/app/oracle/product/10.2.0/server/bin/oracle_env.shand added this line to the file .bashrc. Then, still in the following installation guide, I wanted to make available for remote clients DB and tried to connect to DB at the local level, using the sqlplus command line. Here, the problems begin:

  Normally if the BIOS shows the full 4 GB of RAM, the modules are recognized properly and in this case it s a Ubuntu problem I think.

  Have you checked how much RAM Windows poster? But you need a 64 bit version of Windows to use the entire capacity.
  And are you sure that s a 64-bit version of Ubuntu? 3.2 GB of memory are typical for the 32 bit OS

  Please also check if this happens in a new profile. If the new profile is correct, you can later copy the necessary personal data of the old profile. Firefox stores your personal data and settings in a different location (folder profile) separated from its files/folder.   I think that you should just grab the laptop because it's the easiest way to solve this problem starting Ubuntu.
  Other workarounds would be too difficult and would take as long as a simple recovery.

  Recovery if the NB100. The procedure should t take long.

  It is not easy to offer a solution to this. Satellite A300 is not supported with this problem and Linux, you're on your own.
  Check some Ubuntu forum. You're more likely to get good advice there.

  So far, everything works fine, but there are two things bother me.

  1. I have problem with suspends to RAM. It does not work. If I use the option to boot, the screen goes black but the laptop is still running (you can hear it).
