UDP Port forwarding
I opened the ports on my Airport for HTTP, TCP, and UDP.
By using the website canyouseeme, I confirmed that the TCP and HTTP ports are open.
However, the UDP port is indicating 'connection refused '.
Port forwarding is configured to be the same for each.
Any thoughts would be appreciated...
I opened the ports on my Airport for HTTP, TCP, and UDP
FWIW, only the HTTP protocol is a 'standard' port already assigned. It is port 80. This port can be a type TCP or UDP port. On the other hand, generally TCP or UDP ports vary from 0 to 65535... so your statement «I open ports on my Airport...» TCP and UDP"does not tell us what are the ports really tried to open and for what reason.
Some ports are blocked by ISPS, so this may be a reason that the method used, canyouseeme, can not 'see' she also open.
Is your 802.11ac AirPort Extreme router "main"? In other words, it is directly connected to a simple Internet modem via an Ethernet connection between them?

Need help with the port forwarding for a XBox remote Streaming
I have a router R6200v2 and need help with port forwarding.
I came across this set of instructions for setting up stream port forwarding XBox remotely from anywhere
http://kinkeadtech.com/2015/07/how-to-stream-Xbox-one-to-Windows-10-from-anywhere-with-Internet/
I have no idea when it comes to such things and I want to make sure I do it correctly without messing up my existing home network.
Port Forwarding and triggering Port pages setup look very different from what the guy uses. Can someone walk me through what I do to set up please?
Hi @varxtis,
You must enter them in the field for a start external Port and external completion Port. You will need to send individually except for the range of 49000-65000. The steps are as follows.
1. create a Service name (it could be something else that you cannot use the same service name twice. Ex. XBOX1, XBOX2 and so forth.)
2. Select the type of service (TCP, UDP or both)
3 entry 5050 times a start external Port and external endpoints.
4. Select the IP address of your XBOX.
5. Select apply.
6 do the same for other port numbers. To the beach, use 49000 for the external departure Port and for the external completion Port 65000.
Kind regards

Port Forwarding/Asus router
Can someone ' "guide me through Port forwarding
I have the Cloud Connect Port information
I have two TCP and UDP selected in Port forwarding protocol that I have selected "both" (TCP and UDP)
I have a Service name field (LenovoCloud!... or is my "personal cloud name go here?) I also have a range of ports (4900:5300), then I have two other fields IP Local and Local port... What are my values for the last two, (my IP address, see the section called Personal Cloud parameters go here?) that I have however enter the numbers, my router Asus N66RU won't Port Forward...
Thank you
Frank
For my Asus router, I have the following entries specifically for the cloud of Lenovo/Iomega ix2 - dl
Iomega Personal cloud 443 192.168.1.101 443 TCP Iomega Personal Cloud 50500 192.168.1.101 50500 BOTH When the ip address is the ip address internal of the ix2 - dl. You will also need to open potentially other ports for other services, such as FTP, Torrent of Transmission, etc.

Implementation of IPSec Port Forwarding on a Windows 2012 with a LRT224 Server
Hi all I hope someone can help me validate my troubleshooting. I'm deploying a Server Windows 2012 that will server as a server vpn for customers. In place is a LRT224 with 4 VLANS set up. I have enabled port forwarding for IPSec (UDP/500), L2TP (UDP/1701) and L2TP (UDP/4500) to go on the server.
In my Initial test, I put the LRT224 on the same network as the client of my test and realized the Test Client (10 Windows) to try to connect to the WAN of the LRT224 interface. I get this message:
Thinking it could be the configuration of the server, I then put the client system on the same vlan on the LRT224 server. When I tried to connect to it directly by using the IP address of the server as a destination, he succeeded. It is leading me to believe that it is the LRT224.
I confirmed that VPN passthrough is enabled.
The firmware version is by: v1.0.5.03 (February 22, 2016 10:12:17)
Currently, the firewall is disabled (I would activate once I'm working)
If anyone has ideas or notice a fault in my tests, I would really appreciate the feedback.
If additional information would be useful, please let me know what you want and I can work for it.
Thanks to all in advance.

It does normally not as I KNOW because the VPN in an outside in the process. You should test the VPN connection outside the server's IP subnet.
You have the server configuration that the DNS server in the router to DHCP with DNS Proxy is disabled?
Are you doing load balancing Internet connection?

LRT224 - Dual WAN port forwarding
Can you move forward say port 80 1 Wan IP and port 80 from WAN 2 to a different IP address. ?
Also can you somehow choose TCP & UDP rather large only one or the other?
I just replaced 2 routers with LRT 214 and LRT 224 TPLink its all works well. Except port forwarding
With LRT224, a port forwarding rule is applied to the two WAN ports and two rules are necessary if you want to ship to TCP and UDP to the same internal IP address.

LRT214 Port Forwarding does not
First of all, when you create a service in the port forwarding section, why to select the two TCP/UDP has been omitted from the selection must be embarrassing for Linksys. Creation of 2 services, one for the other for UDP and TCP are bad design. Would love to see that this problem has been corrected in future updates of the firmware.
The main problem is I have configured port forwarding services, but I can't get anything to work. I am able to access remotely to the router using the port 1443 that is configured in a separate section. I worked in the network design and mgmt for 10 years and why Linksys decided to make the management for the LRT214 so different interface, then the rest of the market was a bad decision. Is there anything else you can suggest to help out why these ports cannot be opened through the FW?
On this router logs show nothing. There is no log for blocked inbound connections and there is a class router business?
After setting up some boxes of Windows on the local network, then transfer to a custom RDP listening port, I am able to RDP in these Windows boxes remotely. It verifies that the Linksys router is forwarding ports correctly. The question then is something on the Synology device itself. Thanks for your response!

Unable to get the port forwarding on LRT224
Hello
Can anyone help with setting the port forwarding on a LRT224 - he drives me crazy!
I have a mail server running on the internal network listening on port 443 using SSL. I want to expose it to the internet on port 450
I tried to configure the following Port Address Translation entries:
TCP: 450 an external Port internal Port: 443 host LAN:
UDP: 450 an external Port internal Port: 443 host LAN:
The two rules are enabled.
I have not setup additional access rules, since I realized that the Port Address Translation is circumventing them.
The setting "Block WAN request" on the firewall is disabled.
Result - NOTHING! No link, no ports open (verified with ShieldsUp!)
FYI - the LRT224 was purchased to replace 2 DD-WRT-flashed routers, each connected to a different ISP - 1 want to automate failover rather that physically Exchange connections of my passage to the routers.
On the other hand, the requirement for transmission of port above took 5 minutes to the configuration via DD - WRT and worked as required from the beginning.
I spent 2 days playing with the LRT224 and have no configuration work.
It is a basic feature! Why is it so hard to make it work?
All help gratefully received...
Hi Chad,
Just to say thank you to help get that job!
To confirm, the resolution for anyone interested:
The configuration of Port Address Translation was correct, but the internal server that was targeted had bad default gateway on its network card (it was targeting my other router), which meant that he was not talking to the LRT224, which means that the latter did not open the ports connected to the Internet.

WRT1900AC: Port forwarding causes router to become unresponsive.
Hi all
I'm having a problem with my WRT1900AC router when port forwarding. I talked to tech support on this issue, but I want to know if the people in the community are affected by the same thing, and perhaps conduct a little experiment.
Basically, the problem is that I am trying to forward the ports for Xbox Live, and after that, the router becomes completely insensitive: cable internet connection cut, cuts wireless and router are accessible via the browser. Turn the power off for 30 seconds and then again has no effect. All the lights are on and stable, but nothing works. The only way to regain access to the router and make it work again is to reset using the button at the back. Support put me through all the troubleshooting steps (firmware, reset and works) but it had no effect.
The thing is that what happens 100% of the time that I try to transmit ports, and even after replacement of the router from the dealer, he AGAIN becomes unresponsive after port forwarding. Even better, is that one of my friends has exactly the same problem and he bought his at the same time as me (early July)
So I would like to know if others are experiencing this as well? The ports, I'm trying to convey are lower, can anyone else try them and see if it works?
- Port 88 (UDP)
- Port 3074 (UDP and TCP)
- Port 53 (UDP and TCP)
- Port 80 (TCP)
- Port 500 (UDP)
- UDP port 3544 (UDP)
- The UDP Port 4500 (UDP)
Thank you
Devresse

Don't put the Port 53. It causes the router to lose connection to the internet. However, others are very good.

My Xbox 360 turns in 'Moderate NAT' problems and because of that I can't connect to the games with my friends. A solution to the problem is to port forwarding.
These are the ports that I'm supposed to open, according to the documentation on the Microsoft Web site:
- TCP 80
- UDP 88
- UDP 3074
- TCP 3074
- UDP 53
- TCP 53
Where can I enter in the ports and other information?
Xbox originals on the port forwarding for Xbox 360
I solved it myself, no thanks to you guys. Enjoy the lack of help on this SUPPORT FORUM.

Question about WRT54G2 and port forwarding
Recently, I replaced my WRT54G with a new WRT54G2. My old router had the port forwarding for 2 pc is as follows:
192.168.1.100
6073 - UDP port
2302-2303-TCP port
192.168.1.101
2302-2400-UDP
6073 - at once
8085 - at once
TCP port 26100-26110
27100-27110-both
When I try to set up my new router, it says I have overlapping of ports. Maybe I'm confused but how could he have been working on my old router and now it does not work on my new?
Of course, try this, and I think I could solve your problem.

Cannot set up and install a wireless printer. HP Photosmart the 427 UDP Port
I know this question has been posted several times, and before I go, I want to report that I was researching spending last week and try every possible solution I've read. So I hope that someone can offer some new or still has outstanding question.
Equipment: HP laptop, Windows 7, HP Photosmart Plus B209 all-in-one, Netgear WNDR3700 (Dual Band), Norton 360 Antivirus/Firewall
My laptop and printer are both about two years. I have the wireless printer set up in my previous home on a different network (more old netgear router). No issues what so ever.
So I recently moved into a new home, bought a new router and set up a wireless network. Everything works fine without thread; two laptops, xbox, ps3, tv, cell phones, etc.). I finally had time to set up the printer. USB works fine. But it can not configure for wireless use. I get the infamous (together with HP printers) error message that my computer cannot communicate with the printer and I need to open port 427 UDP. Tried twice more, but no dice.
Uninstalled all HP software and the printer driver and re-downloaded/installed the latest things from HP website. Tried to install the printer and Wireless Setup again, but still no dice. USB works fine.
And there began my long trip. Here is the list of things that I did without success, and I'm sure I did right. Turn off my firewall (norton and windows). Opens UDP Port 427 (norton and windows). 427 on my router (port forwarding) open UDP port. Maunally added the printer through windows as a wireless device. Manually add a network printer.
I still get the same error of UDP port 427. Please PLEASE help me. tI really want to fix this and refuse to believe that something as simple as it is not repairable. Printers are cheap and I don't mind buying a new one (not HP), but I have enough stubborn to give my with trivial issues such as this.
Hello
Thanks for the reply.
I suggest you contact HP support for help.

RV042 different internal port on a port forward?
I would like to set up some redirects the monitoring SNMP port, but some of my devices cannot be changed from the default port 161. Is is possible to configure a port forward for, say, port 171 who goes to a port internal 161?
Hi Justin,
Not on the RV042 it only can carry the port 161 for example forward, and do not change this destination port number.
But if you need dual WAN ports with this feature, why not try its big brother, the series SA500.
If you don't need dual WAN port and only need a single WAN port with this feature check out the RV120W or the old RVS4000.
I've included a few screenshots below show the required functionality on first a SA500 and then on a RV120W
I need to define the service, I have not done in the examples below.
But I can before UDP or TCP ports regardless of the port, say 171 to a host IP LAN and translate the port to 161.
Screenshot on SA500
screenshot from a RV120W
Sorry Justin, may not be the answer you want to hear.
Best regards, Dave

Are you sure that the service is running on 192.168.29.4? "bytes 0 SYN Timeout"reveals as no response was sent from inside.
After you add the static statement, did you make a clear xlate or restart the pix to reset the table of translation slot? (clear xlate is preferred, but naturally a reboot will be wipe off the table)
