Unable to customize comments opetrating windows xp system

Hello

I'm trying to customize the Windows machine after clone use customization of the script in vCloud5.1, Im getting this error. I have attached my snapshots with log files and the error message. Help, please.

My vmware tools are up to date. y at - it all the other things I need to check? I have also successfully deployed sysprep packages.

Hi John,.

Hmm... It appears from time to time, see also http://communities.vmware.com/thread/392941?tstart=120.

Basically, customization of comments is unable to read the OVF environment that provides information on what needs to be customized. The command that fails is:

'C:\Program VMware Tools\vmtoolsd.exe-' cmd 'info-get guestinfo.ovfEnv '.

The problem is that the problem is intermittent. Your journal, it seems that another customization has managed only 4 minutes before. Thus, it is not likely a configuration issue.

In this case the next time, could you leave this virtual machine running and post here so that we can try to debug?

The first step would be to try to get the detailed error message by running the above command manually from 'cmd '. We save ourselves, because this command is considered to be 'safe' may return sensitive information as the encrypted passwords.

I am reasonably confident that the issue I'm having is the direct result of a virus. The first sign was after recording in the other day, a message popped up that says that my copy of Windows is not valid. After re - validate, I am still not able to access many programs, System Restore, components - run Windows, Control Panel, Defender etc. I already ran several scans-MalwareBytes, Hijackthis, AVG, ZoneAlarm, SuperAnti-SpyWare, Avira, Emsisoft, etc.. Still nothing.

  • How to keep the controls panel/glance through the changes of fonts more small-medium-large screen made through a window to customize the Windows operating system?

    Hello

My application uses digital edition, ring and other controls with chains of control/label mainly composed of EditDialogMetaFont size = 11 (all optimized for the smallest font setting in a customization of the Win operating system window). When the user changes the font to the medium setting for example the police of all labels and controls is changed size = table 13 and all labels are misaligned with some labels even extending lines of Panel and thus become partially visible. How to deal with this situation, please?

    Thank you

    Martin M.

The description of the metafonts sheds some light on this issue; It basically says that for a police metafont predefined size is not an absolute value and can change... The solution uses the fonts provided by the operating system, for example, Arial.

When I start my laptop there is a long pause between the home screen and the cover page of my office where the message "unable to connect to a windows service windows has no can connect to the system event. I am unable to connect to networks as says "the dependecy service or group could start. I checked some of the solutions to this problem, including the execution of the 'netsh reset winstock' program that did not work. Any advice would be very helpful. Thank you.

    Hello

It would be a good idea to run the System File Checker tool to see if you have corrupted files

"How to use the System File Checker tool to fix the files on system missing or corrupted on Windows Vista or Windows 7"

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929833

Use the (SFC.exe) System File Checker tool to determine which file is causing the problem and then replace the file. To do this, follow these steps:

    1. Open an elevated command prompt. To do this, click Start, click principally made programs, Accessories, right-click guest, and then click run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click allow.
    2. Type the following command and press ENTER:
      sfc/scannow

The sfc/scannow command analyzes all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with appropriate Microsoft versions.

    And Malware scan:

Search for malware, if necessary using the safe mode with networking.

    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/how-to-start-Windows-in-safe-mode/#Vista

    Windows Vista

    Using the F8 method:

    1. Restart your computer.
    2. When the computer starts, you will see your computer hardware are listed. When you see this information begins to tap the F8 key repeatedly until you are presented with the Boot Options Advanced Windows Vista.
    3. Select the Safe Mode with networking with the arrow keys.
    4. Then press enter on your keyboard to start mode without failure of Vista.
    5. To start Windows, you'll be a typical logon screen. Connect to your computer and Vista goes into safe mode.
    6. Do whatever tasks you need and when you are done, reboot to return to normal mode.

Then, download, install, update and scan your system with the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware in Mode safe mode with networking:

  • Unable to join the domain using customization comments vCD

I have vCloud Director installed and running.  I created a vApp and edited the properties to allow customization of comments and more everything works so far but the computer will not join the domain.  I tried to use organization customization, as well as customize the TIME after deployment.  As soon as the server ends with the customization and is powered, I can log in and join the domain manually without any problem, I can't get comments customization to do that for me.   Its a Windows 2008 R2 server.  I found this entry at the end of the journal to customize-comments on the server:

run the command netsh interface ip set dns 12 xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx static (it has the correct address for my DNS server) =

The command has been successfully run, the output of the command:

The configured DNS server is incorrect or does not exist

    Any thoughts?

It is a farily well known problem.  For a join of field works in vCloud Director, you must have on your DHCP subnet.  Many people make using the vShield edge device that is located on the network of the Org.  The sysprep process runs before tools VMware is running (which applies to the satic IP address to the client).  It's sort of a situation or hen that the guest has ip when in sysprep, so the easy solution to make it work is DHCP.  Conversely, people did it is in port, a lab post script custization in vCD Manager who entered the field after the sysprep is made completely and the guest it's static IP.  Frankly, it's something of the order of operations that is causing the problem.  We are looking at this for other clients, but at the moment, what your options are

    (1) add DHCP to the subnet by using your own server DHCP OR vShield Edge

    (2) add a PostScript of customization to join the domain, it can be inserted into the comments thus customizaion area.

Hope this helps you stop banging their heads on the wall

  • Pavilion 140 550 - t: unable to connect to the windows service

Not sure if it's the good advice of post, but here goes.

Just got the HP computer yesterday and installed Norton Security, Malwarebytes, and Windows Live Mail (do not like the version of Mail). Now, when I start it, I get "Unable to connect to the Windows Service" pop up and WLM crashes when I try to open it. What the DEVIL?

Had the same problem on the one I just replaced. My laptop became the 'Group Policy' error thing, but I think I fixed it.

Any suggestions? Windows is a joke!

If it is Norton Security, then it's a firewall as well and firewalls blocking things, it's that they are supposed to do. So demand for three, you said that this is probably the cause.

But if you do not want to test it, then try the system restore I've mentioned or reload the image origin, then just put in place the email again and see if it works without the other two installed, first to see if it will work with anything else in the picture.

  • Windows operating system

Despite all the various Microsoft support Web sites, I am still unable to determine if my computer has a 64-bit or 32-bit Windows operating system.

Suggestions how to determine the Windows operating system I have?

I don't think you tried too hard. I just google determine 32 or 64 bit and the first in the list was this Microsoft article...

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/827218

This is a badly constructed page, but with a little exploration, you get the solution given by the ROCKS of XP.

  • Product: Windows operating system ID: 256 symbolic name: WRN_INTERFACE_CHANGE_TIMED_OUT

  • We tried to upgrade our 32-bit windows vista system to Windows 7 32 bit

    Separated from this thread.

We tried to upgrade our system to 32-bit windows vista to windows 7 32 bit and find no right answer to what we have to do to upgrade to windows vista 32. So far, our experience is our head is ROTATING and can someone help us?

First of all, make sure that your PC meets the requirements of Windows 7 - system Windows help

You can buy Windows 7 from one of the major retailers who still like mainline, new egg, or Tiger Direct - Amazon but none is smaller that that if you want to be sure to get the real and not renovated or eBay!  If in doubt ask here before you buy, read the comments of the sales page for the experience of others.

Once you have the disc, put it in the drive to make an update install with Windows 7 .  If you have a Vista factory install I would firstly follow these same steps to Clean Up Factory Bloatware that will optimize for a better upgrade.

If this facility is not satisfactory, then do the vastly superior clean reinstall Windows 7

  • Get the error this Windows Installer system could not be accessed

Original code in title: error 1601
Here is the letter that I just sent to Microsoft Support. This is the last of about 15 or so that I sent them, so the "BOLD" prints.

ERROR CODE 1601 WINDOWS INSTALL SYSTEM ARE NOT ACCESSIBLE!

THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH SKYPE. DON'T SEND ME A LINK TO A FORUM. PERSON NON-DU SUPPORT OF MICROSOFT HAS COMMENTED ON SINCE MARCH. NONE OF THE FIXES WE WORKED ANYWAY.

DON'T SEND ME ANY LINKS FOR AUTOMATIC MICROSOFT FIX - IT. IT DOES NOT WORK.

DO NOT SEND ME LINKS TO THREE DOWNLOADS THAT YOU ALREADY SENT TO THE WINDOWS SERVICE INSTALL. THEY DO NOT WORK.

I THINK I'VE NOW EXHAUSTED YOUR LIST OF ANSWERS TO THIS PROBLEM.

TRANSFER ALL THESE EMAILS TO A CASE MANAGER AND ASK THEM TO CONTACT ME AT THIS EMAIL ADDRESS.

If you think that the advanced system of care did, then uninstall the software.  If you want a cleaner, try CCleaner (freeware).

    http://www.Piriform.com/CCleaner

SP2 is located in the "Display" section updated installed programs and features in Control Panel

It will be installed as day in 2009 if you have it installed as soon as its released.  Look for it under Microsoft Windows updates.
