  I have trouble getting my restore disk to work. I can get it insofar as the ghost screen installs approximately 7% of the image, then these error messages appear error-19235 xq199905 decompression error-3.

  The same thing happens when I try to install Windows XP Home edition on a disk, it goes through to the copy of the files then keeps saying cannot copy file retry or ignore, this happens on all files. I tried a new HARD drive, but exactly the same thing happens.

  Anyone out there can help me because I'm going crazy trying different configurations. I tried the new MBR, full format, new HARD drive, 2 different disks of WXP.
  I've been around computers for 17 years and we never beat me but it made me.

  When I first tried to restore from the factory CD I had to disable the L2 cache before what I have explained.

  Very strange problem! Your service is very good, but from your description, maybe you should pay attention to the optical drive.

  Recovery media, Microsoft Windows XP Home CD edition and disk HARD must be OK. Try somehow to install OS without ODD use (installation may be on LAN or WXP CD copy to the second partition).

  It's really not easy to say what can be the problem.

  We must do much more "to dig" here. Please answer each of the following [admittedly tedious] diagnostic questions in a list numbered corresponding type in your very next answer, preferably without quote my post:

  1. when (date approximately) did you buy the computer refurbished Win7 32-bit?

  1B. how that made the computer (for example, Dell;) HP; Lenovo; Toshiba; etc.) ?

  1 can you confirm that Joy systems formatted (or replace) the hard drive & then a clean installed Win7 32-bit immediately before that you have taken possession of the computer?

  1 d. you properly authenticated validated Win7 32-bit install?

  2. What is the full name of your application or the installed antivirus security suite and when (date about) is your subscription current expires? What (other than Defender) anti-spyware applications are installed? What third-party firewall (if applicable)?

  3 a Norton or McAfee application ALREADY installed on the computer as you bought?

  4. do you have a free trial Norton or a test of free McAfee [CHOOSE ONE ANSWER] come preinstalled on the computer refurbished When you bought it? (No matter if you have never used or activated).

  5a. is KB3104002, KB3109094, KB3099862, KB3108670, KB3108371, KB3108381, or KB3108669 listed in installed updates (not update history)? [1]

  We have recently installed 11.1 Essbase with Smart View. The OAS has been installed successfully on a number of workstations and a few laptops, but we're having problems installing SV on a few laptops. Everyone uses MS office 2003.
  
  The problem is that the default URL is grayed out in the Ad-Hoc tab with the error message following "error reading SmartView.xml '.
  
  Anyone know why? The facilities have all been conducted locally.

  This sounds like a permissions problem or could be a problem with MSXML on the machine. If you have connected a case of pension, they can search the knowledge base and see if anyone has seen this problem.

  My specific error is not listed:
  Server connection error: unable to connect to Web Services. Confirm access to the Internet, and then try again.
  This error keeps popping up when I try to scan a document from the printer to the PC, even though I'm connected wireless to the internet and you can print wireless from all devices. I use this scan function every day, and this error occur every two weeks. Cannot find how to fix it. Have tried rebooting with no luck.

  Hi helpthislady,

  Sometimes, this error indicates that the hard drive may be failing.  Perform the following steps to check the integrity of your hard drive. If you are unable to access the Advanced Boot Option menu by using the F8 key, you will need to get a CD of Windows Vista.

  1. reboot your computer by tapping the F8 key until you reach the Advanced Startup Options menu.

  2. Select Safe Mode with command prompt.

  3. type chkdsk/r (there is a space between the k and /)

  Once you are able to start Windows, back up all your important data.  Let us know if that helps.

  TEEN Geek, of course, works, but then you will be forced to use a 3rd party for Zip files program in the future instead of the feature in Vista (which is easier to use).  In addition, WinRar is shareware so that 7-Zip is a freeware, so you can choose the latter.  You can fix the Vista zip functionality instead (or in addition):

  Chances are good that some of Vista system files have become corrupt.

  Then we will check some of your system files:

  Go to start / all programs / accessories / command prompt and right click on command prompt, and then click Run as administrator.

  Type sfc/scannow, go and let it run.  It will scan and try to correct some of your system files.  If all goes well he comes complete with no corruption, it could not repair (if it has these post of corruption here or try to analyze it to find the problem or files using http://support.microsoft.com/kb/928228.

  While in the command prompt, type chkdsk /f /r and enter and let it run.  It will scan and try to solve any corruption or bad sectors on your hard drive and remove especially as a cause.

  If it does not, then thanks for posting any repetitive error messages in Event Viewer about zip files (Start / Control Panel / administrative tools / Event Viewer).  Here's how to use Event Viewer: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic40108.html.

  If this does not work, you will need to do a repair/system upgrade using the Windows Vista Installation disc authentic (you own or that you can borrow from someone).  Here is the procedure: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/88236-repair-install-vista.html as well as the upgrade from an earlier version of the Windows section of the following: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/918884.  Although this will not affect your data, settings or programs, you should always back up your data before you start just be on the safe side.   I use windows vista sp2 on the computer and am unable to initialize properly. I am at a loss for what to do.

  That's what happened. My computer became infected with a nasty virus, so I tried to boot into safe mode. However, I got a blue screen with an error message that says:

  If your system has been infected then the best thing to do is to format the HD ANS reinstall factory default.  According to the PC that you have, you must have a recovery partition or the recovery disk (most use partitions these days).  When start you on the recovery media factory be sure to only select the 'Factory Restore' which will erase the disk and reload the operating system.  The only way that you can switch from Vista to XP is now if the recovery media XP or you own a valid copy of XP retail.   According to the API ActionScript 3.0, the ByteArray decompress method will decompress any data zlib compressed (ByteArray by selecting from the navigation bar on the left). But I get an error trying to unpack when I use data that has been compressed to zlib, but not by the ByteArray compress method (incoming data on a socket).
  
  With a little more searching, I found a slightly different Flex 2 API, which specifies that the uncompress method will only work with data compressed by the compression method.
  
  So the question is, can I decompress ANY compressed zlib or simply compressed data of flash?

  The ByteArray must have the stream integer zlib in memory to be able to decompress correctly. You can't leave the stream open and decompress a bit at a time (as you can with an inflating Java object).

  If you have control of the zlib compression and you wish to close the stream, see the Z_FINISH indicator.

  HP will not develop a Windows 10 driver for this printer. The best option is to buy a new printer or get a laptop computer with the operating system prior to Windows 7 because this error occurred on Windows 7 computers due to inadequate software support driver for the printer. Perhaps a simple shooting turn also works as described in the link.
