Unable to install OS "From Scratch" on m8000?

I bought this computer about 6 months ago with my parents, who took good care of her (the best that you can do with something like a computer). The HARD drive has failed and instead of fix it that they sold to me. I replaced the HARD drive and attempted to install several different versions of Windows. All Vista and higher versions to get to the configuration screen, but then say that a driver is necessary. I tried the 'trick' you place the USB (Yes, I installed the USB in this case) to another path, but it does not work.

Windows 95, 98, NT, 2000 and XP all go beyond the 'preloaded' screen and then give a blue screen.

Is the farthest I've gotten with Windows 7 Professional. I think that I managed to run Ubuntu from a flash drive, the primary NTFS HARD disk partition and try then to install Win7. He began to install but then got "hung up".

It seems extremely odd that computers only I ALREADY had problems upgrading the OS on are the era Vista HP desktop computers and laptops. Interestingly, I can get LINUX (!) to install but not Windows. What happens here? These are all legitimately-owned facilities. Why are these HPs only computers that seem to completely exclude "redevelopment" a HARD drive "in white"?

Must I keep even try or is there some hardware DRM BS that I just do not know? And what is with the RAID selection for this system?

Thanks in advance for any help. I worked with HPs years and generally have good experiences with them. Until Vista +. What happened?!

Hi LeptoManiac,

After some but he hit me. HP not support Win 7 drivers for your PC. The Nvidia SATA driver is for Vista 64-bit. It may or may not work when installing Win 7.

So, you will need to change the disk controller mode in the BIOS to IDE or AHCI.

I also downloaded and extracted the installation package of HP sp37486 (Nvidia nForce Serial ATA Controller driver) for your PC from HP's Software and the location of the drivers and found the Vista 64 bit RAID (nvrd64.inf) .inf file.

Given your situation, you might try using the .inf above during installation of Win 7 and see what happens. You can also try to install Win 7 by changing the mode of the controller BIOS.

You have a safety net by purchasing available on computer surgeons 64 bit Vista HP recovery disks.

You have options and should be able to get your PC, at minimun Win Vista, once again.

This link directs you to the Nvidia GeForce 8200 for Win 7 64 bit driver options. Selections are unified drivers, and I have not tried to download everything or tried to extract the SATA driver. This is a large file and it is not possible to install the SATA driver by isolating all required (including the .inf file) files needed during the installation of Win 7.

Happy computing!

  • Upgrade or start from scratch?

I'm looking to upgrade 4.0 U1 U1 4.1 as vCenter.  I also replaced all our material at the same time.  I can't decide whether to use the data migration tool, or simply starting over.  We have a lot of hosts and virtual machines, but our config is simple.  Four no poles, no resource pools, etc... It would be easy to recreate.  What I am struggling with, is HOW did you start again.  If I installed ESXi on a new server, and then created a virtual WS08R2 machine and installed vCenter from scratch, how can I migrate my VMs on?  Can I submit the same storage as vCenter servers/clusters and just delete/re-supplement to the inventory?  It would involve some downtime for virtual machines right?  I would like to start over but it seems that the data migration tool appears as a easier, more directly transfer processes... but I hate just upgrades.  Still, something goes wrong. Thoughts?

Yes, you should be able to add the storage to the new systems. Remove the old server vCenter guests and add the new. For vMotion, you will need to look at the CPU differences between old and new guests. You'll either need to use EVC to hide the difference or the power to move the guests. You will also need to decide how you will deal with the move of RDMs. the data again RDM disks storage vmotion VMDK.

Most of the questions will be same as you put it at level or start from scratch.

  • Workstation HP Z240 Tower: can I install Windows 7 from scratch?

    Greetings!

The operating system on my computer is actually win 10 Pro demoted to Win 7 Pro. I want to know if I can install from scratch Windows 7 in my computer using the Windows 7 disc with the computer.

I was told, the operating system is Windows 10 but it uses an interface of Windows 7. I don't understand the need for this complication. If you can just install Windows 7, so why use an interface? Maybe this computer only works with Windows 10?

What are you trying to do, as you say that you are already using Windows 7?

I do not understand your question about "interface."

The GUI (graphical user Interface) for Windows 10 incorporates most of the features of the GUI for Windows 7 and also of the GUI Windows 8/8.1.

    See: http://www8.hp.com/ca/en/products/workstations/product-detail.html?oid=8354563#! = form tab

    Your computer was preinstalled with:

Windows 7 Professional 64 (available through 10 Pro 64 Windows downgrade rights)

and also comes with a license and support for Windows 10 Pro software.

My recommendation: given that Microsoft will stop supporting Windows 7 in January 2020 - a short period of absence - install Windows 10 to get security-updates for your computer now and after January 2020.

Suggestion: if you have a "spare" disk drive, disconnect your current hard drive, connect the 'spare' and try to use this support for Windows 7 to install Windows.  That should answer your question about "can I install...". ».

  • I'll be able to install Windows 10 from scratch and use my Vista license to activate Windows 10?

Original title: 10 free for Vista Windows?

    Hello

I know that Windows 10 will be a free Windows 7 upgrade or 8/8.1 for the first year.  I run Vista Ultimate, and I would like to upgrade to Windows 10 as well.  I'm not interested in upgrading my Vista installation - it's almost 10 years and it's time to start over.  I'll be able to install Windows 10 from scratch and use my Vista license to activate Windows 10?  I totally understand don't want not to support an upgrade of a system of directly to 10 Microsoft Windows Vista, but Vista licenses will be able to 'upgrade' to Windows 10 licenses?  I have not found information on it online.  Everything speaks to us (ameioration) for Windows 7/8/8.1 for Windows 10.  It would be a shame for Microsoft to extend an olive branch to some legitimate users of Windows and others do not.

    Thank you

I have Windows 7 Edition home premium installed 32-bit update. How can I upgrade to 64-bit? Will there be problems of validation so I re-install from scratch?

If you have purchased a retail package, it should include the disk for Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. Otherwise, you can download a backup copy at the following link and use the same product key that allows you to enable the 32-bit version. Its a possibility, you may need to reactivate by phone, see below for instructions:

You will need to do a clean install, there is no place on the way to upgrade Windows 7 32 bit to 64 bit.

Using the disk of 64-bit Windows 7, install Windows 7 Windows Easy Transfer Utility from the DVD (to find it, simply navigate to x:\support\migwiz, "x:" is the name of your hard drive. (In this case, you will see a collection of files, the important"that you must search for and double-click is 'migsetup'.) run it and create a DAMP (Windows Easy Transfer file), if you have an external hard drive, you can access it later when you perform a clean install of Windows 7 64-bit disk so you can stored there.

Once you have done this, just do a clean install of Windows 7 64 bit disc. In Windows 7 64 bit disk, start Windows Easy Transfer, follow the wizard screen, tap on which is stored the WET file (external hard drive) and it will restore your personal files and settings. Reinstall the applications needed.

    1) click Start and in the search for box type: slui.exe 4

    (2) press the ENTER"" key.

    (3) select your "country" in the list.

    (4) choose the option "activate phone".

    (5) stay on the phone (do not select/press all options) and wait for a person to help you with the activation.

This error indicates that the Windows Installer Service is being used for another installation or update at this time. Alongside the installation of another program, updates Windows can also occupy the Windows Installer service and must therefore fill before you run another installation.

However, if a previous installation failed and no not close properly, you can complete the Windows Installer process manually:

    1. Open the Task Manager and go to the tab "processes".
    2. Select "Show processes from all users" if it isn't already.
    3. Locate and put an end to any "MSIExec.exe" with adobe entries that see you.

After these steps, try the installation once more.

  • How to install Oracle RAC using GR 11, 2 on Win 7 32 bit from scratch?

    HIII,

    I am a cool and I have a win 7 32 bit with oracle 11 g 2 system.

I want to install RAC with two servers or more, but I don't know too much about.

I tried searching on google but all they give information into pieces (for win 7) or Linux on (please tell me why its all Linux everywhere not Windows).

Please let me know if there is a site where I can find installation step by step from scratch.

What are the basic requirements (/ software if necessary).

    Thank you.

    Hello

Firstly forget Windows! Oracle is mainly designed for Linux systems. Oracle as a true process runs multiple on the Linux machines while under Windows, it runs as a single process with multi-thread.

Using memory - huge pages, single CPU run queue, drop-outs, storage... etc are a lot of concepts.

Also Windows is one of the most poorly designed operating systems, you must use only for watching movies of cute kitten on youtube... Believe me, you don't want to learn Oracle on Windows...

Install virtualbox and then configure Oracle Enterprise Linux on it at first... By the way you have to deal with the DNS server of version 11.X, RAC, you can start with 10g for now.

ORACLE-BASE has all the installation steps explained detailly, search for "oracle rac install base" on google.

I also explained on my blog, but it is a little more advanced installation by using the ZFS storage Simulator. The DNS server installation is also explained: http://ilkertaysi.com/2013/11/11/oracle-rac-installation-with-zfs-storage/

  • "Unable to install the plugin from RoboHelp for FrameMaker...." »

    Hi-

I have 9 Frame and a copy of RoboHelp 8.0.0.203 demonstration and works in Windows 7 (all of a sudden. Yet to learn my way in the operating system after a catastrophic failure of the weekend with my trusty little machine XP.) I have no TCS2; just these two stand-alone tools. I have a book of frame I need to turn into contextual HLO and am auditioning Robo for the task.

No dice. Whenever I try to import (see below re linking) I get an error message in a box marked "RHUtils": "unable to install the plugin from RoboHelp for FrameMaker. If please close FrameMaker and try again. »

With your permission, I'll cover a few points in the order in which they come to mind:

== > Initially I tried linking, hoping of course to the advantages of the single-sourcing. I learned in this forum and elsewhere (-btw, thanks for this great resource) I need the TCS2 in good faith in place to connect. Thought that I could import for now instead of it, just to see how it happened; received the same error message.

== > It was AFTER I had done the research and on the Adobe site (http://www.adobe.com/support/robohelp/misc.html) found this: "the plug-in for RoboHelp, FrameMaker FrameMaker users allows quickly convert any number of books for a simple import or FrameMaker files in RoboHelp 2002 and X 3.» RoboHelp X 4 includes the plug-in! For RoboHelp, FrameMaker plug-in is only available for Windows. To install the plug-in, unzip the RoboMIF.dll into the Plugins folder in the installation of FrameMaker folder (normally found in C:\Program Files\Adobe\FrameMaker7.0\fminit\Plugins)...   Once the plug-in has been installed, restart FrameMaker. FrameMaker now includes a RoboHelp menu. "OK: I have downloaded RoboMIF.dll, installed according to the instructions, rebooted just in case, and now"Adobe RoboHelp"actually appears in the menu bar in the frame. I however always the error message whenever I try to import (now).

== > For several of these attempts Frame was indeed closed. For several other Frame opened to the entry page and nothing else. No apparent effect, anyway.

== > Import and link Word files seems to work very well - which is cool, but my document is in frame at the moment. I know I can convert, but up to now to convert the word seems to need to get all references, what I did in the framework. Doable but not my first choice.

== > I found a thread of editors at http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg18576.html / / www.mail-archive.com/[email protected] msg18576.html relating to this problem. The recommendation, (published here for brevity), who was the author:

    1. locate [the] Maker.ini file and ideally make a backup of it, just in case.
    2. in the [APIClients] section of the maker.ini file, add the following line:

    RH4FMver9 = Standard, RH4FMver9, C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Technical Communication Suite 2\Adobe RoboHelp 8\RoboHTML\RHFrameMakerServer9.dll,all

    3. you should now be able to launch RoboHelp and 'link' files, FrameMaker, FrameMaker application should launch correctly.

This doesn't seem to be my answer because I don't yet own TCS2. This path does not exist.

(I still get excellent advice of training provided by this answering machine, RJ Raquez, to http://blogs.adobe.com/rjacquez/2009/05/linking_framemaker_9_books_in.html.)

In any case, this is where I realized that I was, at least for now, of ideas. Does anyone have more?

    Thank you-

    Anne

If you do not want to go down the road of miftogo mentions Arnis, you can always download the demo of TCS2 - it is fully functional for the period of the demo. I am tempted to install it in its own virtual machine (or another machine entirely) so that you do not get the demo interfere with your legitimate copy of FM9.
