  I bought Lightroom 6 for Mac from amazon and got a serial number and a download link. When I try to download/install, it is said that it does not find its configuration files. When I checked the product description again once it is said, it runs under OS X 10.8, 10.9 and 10.10. I flew forward but of course he understood under the name "or more." I recently changed to Windows Mac and to win, it was always like that.

  In any case, says amazon support sorry, I'd have a license number now, so no cancellation possible. What can I do to use the serial number I paid €112 for? Thank you!

  I assume that you have downloaded the dmg installation without problem and the error occurs during installation.

  If so and the error is in English, attach a screenshot of it or re-upload your installation file.

  I bought Lightroom 5 thanks Amazon. Not received any paperwork on Amazon with the software in the box, just the software itself. Try to install it. Numbers on the back of the box do not work like a serial number.  Have tried all the numbers, combos, letters to anywhere on the box, looked at by e-mail of the Amazon, don't see no redemption code. • 5.2 Installation Lightroom does not recognize. MSI file

  I tried several times to install the Lightroom update 5.2, but every time it starts installing it gives me an error and tells me to locate the file with the .msi file for the installation. Now, the self-extracting installer shows that he extracted the file msi, but when I look for and click on Installer tells me that this is not the appropriate Setup file. Has anyone who encountered this as well and, if so, what solutions have you found to work around?

  I finally managed to uninstall the old version of LR and to install the new version 5.2, respectively, as follows:

  -J' downloaded fixit from Microsoft support page http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971187

  (the link shows the German translation, but I guess that Microsoft fixit software will work in different languages, or there must be the equivalent page in English too, I guess)

  -J' ran the fixit program. Verification of Installation did not help. Checking uninstall, I chose 5 Lightroom (previous version) has helped, the program was now finally uninstalled.

  -J' restarted the PC

  -J' started the downloaded file in Lightroom to version 5.2. This time, the installation worked correctly.

  While working in Lr 6 it froze when I tried to load an image developing. Only way I know had to press ESC. Now when I try to start Lr one dialog box tells me to close the current Lr version. How can I do?

  Open the folder that contains your Lightroom Catalog and search for a file with the same name as your catalog, but with .lock extension. This lock file must be deleted and then Lightroom will start again. This is a file created by the underlying database technology. It is normally removed when Lightroom closes normally. When there are problems, this file can be left. It must be deleted manually. It is the only file you need to remove.

  If you have 6 Lightroom installed, then I suggest you first install Lightroom version 6.3 first, then Lightroom version 6.6 from following link: keeping up-to-date for Lightroom

  You must go to the location where you catalog Lightroom are stored and remove the .lock file (don't forget do not remove the .lrcat file)

  Then, try to launch Lightroom.

  By default, the catalog is stored under Pictures\Lightroom.
