  Lightroom keeps a catalogue of your pictures stored somewhere on the network no disc. If you delete an image you can delete in the catalog or the catalog and physically. To remove an image physically physical storage must be fixed.

  If you only remove the images from the catalog, they will remain on your hard drive. You can remove these images subsequently with the tools of the operating system.

  Hi, I have bouth a HP 7 2 13 11 compressed a few months ago. It was working fine just a month ago, he started to remove all data after it ran out of battery or if I want to close it and turn on the back.

Unfortunately, my WD Elements has stopped working and I can't restore data using Time Machine, as the drive is not found in Time Machine under devices, and I'm sure that I restored my photo library and many other files from my old external drive using Time Machine.

  Can someone tell me how to recover my old files? I have many other important data here including my photos and I don't want to lose them. I'm fairly positive that Time Machine allows me to get the data as is the point of it.

  Hey guys, I found the problem.

  It turns out that I'm never giving time Machine to deselect my external drive to backup; Therefore, there is absolutely no copy done during execution Time machine. I really don't understand why Apple made this the default behavior, but it is what it is.

  So, people, don't forget to go to Time Machine preferences and make sure that you remove the external hard drive that you want to backup under options. Once you do, you can enter the time Machine and your drive will appear under devices.

  I want to set up a mail server on the mavericks in using the standard e-mail applications provided by apple: Dovecot and postfix.  But, for performance and reliability, I would move all mail on a zfs mirror.  What would be the best way to proceed.  I see two options:

  ((1) soft/Library/Server/Mail a link to my mirror, 2) change all the settings for postfix and dovecot so that they want my new drive.

  Two options seem very error prone to me and not reliable in the long term.  Option 1 is the way to go.

  Any other suggestions?  What do you think?
