Under settings, the wireless tab is missing

I try to activate bluetooth. I go to settings and look for the tab "wireless" between "peripheral" and "ease of access". But when I look, it is absent. I know that my computer has bluetooth on it, because it is possible to change bluetooth settings. Any ideas why the wireless tab is missing?

Hello

First of all, make sure wireless equipment are working properly on your system. Also, make sure that you are using the latest Wifi drivers. Open the device (Windows key + R-> devmgmt.msc) management. In the device management window, order the Wifi drivers work or not.

If you are done with the above steps, try to refresh Windows 8 to restore the Wireless tab:
Hope this helps, good luck :)

  • Using the model WRT54G v.3 for the wireless with my computer

I have been using the router for 4 yearsw with a cable.  Now, I want to go wireless.

When I go on my Dell laptop, I see that I am connected and I have good signal.  But he is blocked.

I used the instructions in Dell diagnostics, and he said get the address and type it in the web browser, then follow the instructions.

A submenu appears when I did it, and he asked my user name and password.  I did have one, so I called Linksys.  They couldn't help me because it was out of warranty, even though today is the first time that I tried to go wireless.  They gave me this address to get my user name and password.  I can't find.

What should I do to unlock my connection so I can use the wireless router?  Thank you, Dex

So this means that you don't know the security key for your wireless network, in this case you must connect to your router configuration page and find the security key. Here's the instruction how to find your wireless security key.

Open an Internet Explorer browser on your computer (desktop) wired page. In the address bar type - 192.168.1.1
Let the empty user name & password use admin lowercase... (If you have changed the password for the router, you must connect to the router using this password).

For wireless settings, follow these steps: -.
    Click on the Wireless tab...

    For wireless security: -.
Click the sub-tab under wireless > wireless security... and below, you will find the Security Mode and your security key. Note your security key, and now you can try to connect to your network wireless using this security key.

If you want to disable security on your router, under the Security Mode, select Disable and click on save settings.

  • Adding a second laptop to the wireless to work

I have a laptop is currently working with the MRT54G Version 2 router.  It works very well.  Now my neighbor wants to connect to my network, but after the connection with the networkkey it cannot connect.  He says he has "little or no connection.  I also read somewhere that it has to do with the IP not being renewed.  What needs to be done in order to make it work?  I hope what I've written makes sence.  I apologize for my ignorance when it comes to computer terminology.  Help, please.  Thank you.

If your other computer is not able to go online wireless and you get an error "Limited or no connectivity" message, this indicates that the security key you typed when connecting to your wireless network is Incorrect... Make sure that the security key that you used to connect to your wireless network is the same key that you set your router...

If you are unsure of your security key, then you must connect to your configuration page of the router from your work computer and find the security key...

Open an Internet Explorer browser on your computer (desktop) wired page. In the address bar type - 192.168.1.1 and press ENTER... Let the empty user name & password use admin lowercase...

    Click on the Wireless tab

Click the sub-tab under wireless > Wireless Security... In this window, you will find your security key... Note your security key... and use this security key to connect to your wireless network... Once connected to your wireless network, you should be able to go online wireless on your computer.

    Hello

It s always advisable using the pre-tested Toshiba original drivers and no other pilot. The drivers that you can find on Windows update are pre-tested for your system if I don't install them. Just use the drivers Toshiba on page and everything will be ok.

    Hi Bernard,.

The only reason why the apps tab is missing from your machine is because when this product has been DEPLOYED the Admin intentionally disabled the applications tab. It is an available option when creating the package. I ask you with the IT administrator and they should be able to fix the concern for you. Please refer to the below section referred to the request in question.

  • The "Wireless networks" tab is missing

I'm trying to troublshoot a wireless connection:

Windows Wireless Auto Configuration is enabled and running, but the "Wireless networks" tab is missing from the wireless network connection properties window.

Any ideas on how to restore this tab?

The radio works and shows a TX/RX connection but the router will not assign an IP address.

Windows XP SP3 laptop ThinkPad T30.

I had the same problem - reinstalled windows, updated with service pack 3 and wireless tab was not visible. I couldn't view wireless networks. WZC has been launched and running. I tried several suggestions on different threads, but none seemed to help.

    Finally, this helped:

Click on "View available networks" and then 'change advanced settings '.

Under "Wireless network connection properties", click the "Advanced" tab

At the bottom of the Advanced window, I had a link to the installation network connections (I am not able to find it now - so don't know the exact name) and click on it. He took me through a series of steps where I clicked next/ok. Finally, after finishing, the wireless networks tab is appeared! I don't know why!

  • Lack of Options and account and settings under the Tools tab in the toll bar

I installed Thunderbird 38.3.0 in Linux mint 17.2, but for some reason any, I miss the Options tab of the tool in the menu of the toolbar and account settings. I uninstalled and reinstalled the Thunderbird and Firefox so deleted my profile and Add-ons. Note I don't have Mint module search Enhancer and stylish disabled both in Firefox and Message Menu disabled in Thunderbird this that I can't remove.

When I reinstalled Firefox and Thunderbird, the Options tab of the tool in the toolbar and account settings menu are still reported missing. Can so someone help me to restore these features of toolbar?

    Best regards

    Oobals,

Look under Edit. Preferences and account settings.

    _Linux, http://KB.mozillazine.org/Menu_differences_in_Windows, _and_Mac

You can right click on an account and choose settings, or you can click on an account, see its Central account summary page and select its parameters there too.

And most are under the Menu button of the Application; one that looks like a hamburger.

To restore the toolbars and menus, < alt > missing + v, toolbars and tick the boxes. You must repeat this in each window, depending on the case: address book, Write and reading window message, if you use it.
