Uneven column width and spanning

So, I would like to create a grid with two columns of different widths. From what I can tell, the only way to do this is to manually set the column on a master page guides and then sink in my text.

The only problem is that InDesign creates frames separated for each column instead of a frame of 2 columns. I can't have any models ¶ cover the columns.

Does anyone have a creative solution for this? I really prefer not to use separate text blocks any time I want on columns.

I think you pretty much a handle on it. Spanning columns works only in a framework of several column, not with frames are muticolumn executives still do not support the unequal widths, so essentially what you want to do is impossible how you want to do.

I'm trying what a popup link on a column in a SQL report, but also have the report column a certain width. Can I have or not however at the same time.

It is possible that there is an error in your code - shows your snapshot & 523. -the & and the. should not be there. If you have changed to that of & APP_ID., then you don't need the & or the. but, normally, you should leave as & APP_ID. as the value for this will change when you move from dev to test for prod and Apex will automatically replace this string with the number of correct application.

b. now, enter the size required in the Pixel with and click OK.

A gallery of fluid from MySQL using PHP and various column widths

I decided to try the new option of fluid page layout in Dreamweaver. I pull information from a (MySQL) database and use php to present.
To view a gallery, I pull the info and use repetition code and something as horizontal repeat of Tom Muck script to create a gallery. Images should be indicated with other text information (not only a legend). However, the script of HR is a fixed amount of columns - and I want the number of columns to change depending on the width of the browser.
So it's more than a gallery - pulling images from a database with title = 'x' would be a stylized DIV repeated with multiple fields of texts and styles to the breast.
For example, a site of car dealer that it must show the image of car, price, year, description etc all fonts of different style so it may just be a legend in the image.
If the options are:
A fixed number of columns for each width: Mobile Monitor, 5, 3 shelves, 1. This can be done by having an "IF" statement in the code, if width = x use this version of the horizontal repetition?
A fluid version which has 6 columns and do you drag the width of the browser, you can see the Gallery less than column width until it reaches 1 for mobile.
The fluid version would be better.
Any link to a tutorial or an example would be most appreciated.

The only problem with the use of instead of a table to create columns of the grid is that you need to set a minimum height on the to keep them all at the same depth, a bit like a construction of table cell looks and behaves. If you do not set a minimum height that the grid will look all shredded MORE the very big disadvantage is that the will not clear if another
has more content in there that's going to happen if you include a 'description' of the car because it will never be the same length unless you are prepeared to edit the text.

JXTable and column widths

I'm trying to define the column using JXTable widths and a ColumnFactory.
I put the more the width of the middle column in my example to 10, but during execution of this column is slightly smaller than the other, but not 10. If I set the Resize mode to AUTO_RESIZE_OFF (uncomment the line in the example) is produced the right width of 10.

I would like the middle column at 10 and then other columns that do not have a width specified by the overridden logic then allocate extra space between them.

If I Uncomment that line for maximum width then the understandable column is reduced to a size of 10 I have the column to do more and just have an initial size of 10.

as a general rule, you can't eat the cake last and even cake storage ;-)

Seriously, take a look at how excess width is distributed. The api method is fairly long, but explains everything he does: the determining factor is the relationship between the default size of max in a column. Default max is Integer.MAX, harhar... so all reports are the same for all our more normal sizes. Now you know what you can to make a column go to his favorite, be resizable, but never get any of the excesses... cheesecake still in stock

I have implemented different templates in dreamweaver with editable regions and pages. However, when I add or remove content, my columns automatically adjust and shake my overall design. This also occurs when you change these elements contribute to distance in.

Column width of the mailbox in the Mail of Sierra application

Hello everyone,

After the upgrade to Sierra, everything went well, but a strange and annoying defect in the Mail application: I've enabled the display of three columns (mailboxes, the list of messages, the content of the Message). Well, the column of the mailbox does not keep its width, restore continuous width stretched, whenever I close the application window.

If I expand the column to display the full name of my multiple email accounts, this preference is lost whenever I close the window. Strangely, if I exit the application without closing the window and then that I raise, the width is maintained, but it is ready to be reinstalled the next time I have everything simply close the window... is possible to make it permanent? The other two columns do not exhibit this problem and their width is however maintained, even if I close the window or quit the app...

Hi Enrico,.

I understand that you are having problems with the column width of mailbox remaining the same size when you close the Mail application window. I use the Mail app all the time so I can understand your concern. We will be that we can do.

Since this problem occurs in your main user account, please start the Mac in safe mode, connect as user principal and then add to your account e-mail and then test it. Once you have tested out, just restart your computer to find your main office.

Try safe mode if your Mac does not end commissioning

If the problem persists in safe mode, please test this point to a different user account. This will help determine if the problem is the system level or a specific user.

Is there a way to set different column width when the table is added to the report VI? As I understand it, the width is distributed in evently for the Table to add to the report VI.

I have a table with 5 colunms and to set the width of each column differently for printing of the report.

Dig into the Table to add to the report VI as a result of the entry of the column width, you will find the Table add to the report > add text table of report VI > tables.vi > Set Table column width VI. You will find a node invoke named SetColumnWidth. Simply enter the column number and the respective width for each column.

the CSS page model: the right side column width

We're stuck in some css stuff: we want to make a little bigger right column width (say, 300px) in the apex 5.0 page template "column on the right. Could someone tell how to do that? We have already copied the page template for editing, but we do not know what css class must edit and also where to put this information in. (in the model directly? in some clean css files?)

Apex 5 display image field, control width and height on the form page

Highlighted value in table reports using html changes column width

I use basic highlighting using raw html SQL to select a column. However, I noticed that the column width becomes very large compared to the displayed value, maybe there also took html into consideration for length? Not sure if there is a problem with the grid itself.

I use APEX 4.2.5.00.08 to my app.
I have a region of reports, where I display a column set. A column is the column attribute "display as" the value 'Popup LOV (LOV based query).
I press the button to retrieve the LOV, I get a popup of 450 x 400 pixels.
I go to the side of the model and navigate to "Popup list of values of model", where I can see in the section 'Window' attributes 'Width' and 'Height' value 450 and 400. I edit them and save them and there is nothing going on. I'm sure that the template belongs to my selected theme.

I see that the values has not changed. I also connected and disconnected. I am inclined to believe that it is a bug of the APEX.
The only solution I think is to replace this function, which is NOT ideal.

The parameters are generated only, nothing you can do about it because it does not use the model for these properties of the couple. Other things work fine for example the names of button or title window etc. I guess that, Yes, it is a bug. It's still there in the apex 5 too, I checked. The default values of the template do not match, the value in the generated code is always 400/450. So I guess it's pretty much a wait on 5.1.

Here's a fun hack to make it work well on your page (works in apex 5 too, because the code is always the same). Put this in the execute on loading of the page section:

Change the settings to your liking. This will replace the existing window.open call, which is what the popup lov use and replace it with our own code. It does not interfere with other things. As the name of the new window is always "winLov" for the popup lov, it is the argument that is checked.

During the call to window.open to open a new window with the name "winLov", parameters are replaced with your own version of it. The window is called as usual, using the stored reference.

Yes, do not use the trick of resizing. My hack can be a bit tedious, but it's much less invasive for the end user (see open, bam, resize. "Even gets funky on multiple monitors). Also, this thing in the popup lov template will affect each lov popup that you use in the application, which is much less interesting than my specific page code.

Edit2:

I did a little digging in the source code, and I don't know why it does not work. Popup lovs are actually equipped to deal with it. My guess is that the parameters are recovered only after that the lists were generated, causing the package variables global to use their default values instead of model parameters.
