BSOD with iaStorA.sys exceptions for system Thread
I have an Inspiron 2350 with Win 8.1.I have had problems with the foregoing and became a system Thread Unhandled Exception. I ran the ePSA tests and all passed.
I updated the machine to win 8 (not easy with a machine that crashes all the time!) But the accidents have persisted. Finally, I turned off acceleration using Intel RST and the accidents stopped.
I upgraded to 8.1 (after jumping through hoops) and everything seems good.
My question is, how does RST interact with Windows? If I turn acceleration and crashes again, I would be able to solve this problem in just turned off, or it could break things again?
In addition, ideas how the DSS can go support him test but fails the system?
(after a weekend of pain)
Hi Gordie08,
Looks like you have a SATA driver or incompatible or older chipset that causes the problem. You should be able to solve this problem by updating the appropriate drivers. I'll start with the chipset driver (check Dell downloads) and then update the Intel RST (get from Intel) application.

I'm trying to upgrade to Win 7 ultimate SP 1 x 64 to Win 8 pro.
"Getting Ready" reached 100%, reboot the laptop and then during windows start screen BSOD appears saying "System Thread Exception not Handelled.
Happened 2 times, the upgrade of the restorations for Win 7
BlueScreenView said "caused by the pilot - . Ntoskrnl.exe "" "
My dump files:
Yes, I realized that after I posted the question. The BSOD declares a different file name (aswndisflt.sys) which is connected to avast. Already deleted and the upgrade is now beyond the point where it crashed earlier.
Thanks for your comments though

Satellite C660-24F: win 10 BSOD - system thread exception unhandled
I upgraded my Toshiba Satellite C660-24F to windows 10 pro. After the upgrade it restarts again and again showing the dead blue screen with the message
SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED. (athwbx.sys). How can I get rid of this error?athwbx.sys which is mentioned in your message, belongs to the Atheros WLan driver...
So, I think that the BSOD appeared because of compatibility problems between the Win 10 and driver Atheros...
Possible solution:
I think that deletion of the Atheros driver in Device Manager should help you to solve this...
Please keep the device connected to the internet using LAN.
So after uninstalling the Atheros WLan driver and you restarted the laptop, Win 10 should automatically find a driver compatible WLan to internet automatically...

HP Pavilion 17z: SYSTEM THREAD EXCEPTION NO MANAGED atikmdag.sys - NEW
I had the problem titled with two new laptops. The first after less than 3 months of use... HP has finally replaced it and in less than 24 hours later the replacement began to do the same. Now I'm at square one. The case manager for that matter (that's happened since January 2015) wants me to go through all the procedures of same that I lived with the first (which took 3 months, by the way) before contacting him again.
Countless telephone calls, technicians taking my computer three times sent in for repair to come back with the same problem and not once they TRIED uninstall and then reinstall the operating system.
Seriously... is there anyone who knows if it is a problem of HP or Microsoft, and how can I get HP to fix it? I have seen the complex examples long on microsoft of people having the same problem but different notebooks... I really don't understand why I should risk trying to do this on mine when it's A BRAND NEW? COMPUTER
Any help would be appreciated... Thank you
BTW: At this point, I had just downloaded itunes, firefox, adobe flash and a few books of any audible official websites.
Hello, I had this problem and for a year with my Toshiba Satellite laptop. According to me, that it has now been fixed.
You can read my post about it here: http://allaboutboats.blogspot.com/2015/05/toshiba-satellite-and-bsod-error-system.html
To make a long story short, I got the BSOD when using Firefox. I disabled the "use hardware acceleration when available" in Advanced Options and things that crashed 4 times that night worked OK then.
I thought it was just a problem of Toshiba
I hope this helps...

These accidents were related to the corruption of memory (probably caused by a driver).

Satellite C850 - Win 10 Update aborted - SYSTEM THREAD EXCEPTION NOT HANDLED
Hello

It restart Ant try again, but I got the same screen, it restarts and work on the recovery of win 7, afterthat I have win 7 recovered and can reuse my pc. But I used to win 10. Why is this happening?
How can I solve this problem?
I searched and tried to fix it, but did not find anything on this subject.
The text is in German. The bing translation is:
There was a problem on the pc. It must be restarted. some errors were collected, and then restart the computer to run.(20% complete)
If you want more information, you can search for this error later online: SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED (ndis.sys)The ndis.sys file is mentioned in your message.
NDIS Network Driver Interface SpecificationFor upgrade problems could be caused by the software / driver installed on your laptop.
I guess that the question could be related to driver WLan or LAN driver...Maybe you need to uninstall one of the drivers before you start the upgrade to win 10.

System Windows Thread Unhandled Exception (no file name) 8.1
I have the BSOD with system Thread Unhandled Exception (no file name). The mindump files are in https://www.dropbox.com/s/6eawzv654f3xmqp/091615-3859-01.zip?dl=0.
The only other symptom is that when it restarts I have no ethernet connection and it must restart once again to make it available. Then, all right, for a period of time.
Thank you

I removed the driver and reinstalled Win7 compatibility mode. That seemed to do the trick. Restarted several times yesterday and no blue screen.

I understand that you get a blue screen with the error "Unhandled Thread Exception system" without additional information. He launched the auto repair, but it does not work. You do not have to use restore points and you were unable to do a reset. You have also failed to start in safe mode.
Here is a link to help you get into safe mode. HP computers - Windows Safe Mode (Windows, 10, 8)
As you have not been able to do a reset, I suggest you try a refresh first. If this is not possible, then do a recovery.

Next would be the recovery. This operation takes back you to the original operating system. If this isn't what you want, then you will need to do a clean install of Windows 10.

BSOD "driver irql not less or equal" and the "thread of unhandled exception" messages
Hi all
Since I got my laptop motherboard replaced I started having BSOD issues with "driver irql not less or equal ' and"unhandled exception thread"messages. They appear very often (about once a week), but it's annoying anyway :) I failed to note any regular pattern in BSOD problem.
I've read the description of similar problems, so I guess that the problem is a faulty driver. Unfortunately my PC skills are not sufficiently advanced to solve the problem on my own.
