Hi Jermaine heslop,

Thanks for posting this question in the Microsoft Community.

1. what security software is installed?

2. don't you make changes to the computer before this problem?

We can refer to these methods and check if that helps.

Method 1.

You must run the troubleshooter and check if that helps.

Using the troubleshooter from network in Windows 7: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Using-the-Network-troubleshooter-in-Windows-7

Method 2.

We can refer to this article and check if that helps.

Additional information.

When you run the network troubleshooter utility, any problem found, along with any solution, appears in the dialog of the resolution of network issues. If it has more detailed or technical information about the problem and possible solutions, it is saved in one or more event logs. Administrators of networks and the technical support staff can use the information in the event logs to analyze connectivity problems or help implement solutions.

  • Received a warning to unidentified on the network computer. Under the status of the network looked up and saw a computer I don't know anything. What is - this and how?

Original title: computer not identified on the network

Received a warning to unidentified on the network computer. Under the status of the network looked up and saw a computer I know nothing on my network. What is - this and what that can do. ?

Implement the security of your network... How to do depends on details. If your network is at home on a wifi router, and then implement WPA2, which will prevent unauthorized as well as encryption of your data access.  Follow these steps on the router itself (once again the details depend on your situation.)

While I'd love to implement WPA2, WPA2 will not accept my network and I am limited to WPA.  My point is that if it is a wireless intrusion (we don't even know if it's wireless at this point), then the security settings on the router must first be discussed with the manufacturer ISP or router so that they are appropriate for devices and services and programs.

It could also be a USB transmitter attached to the computer.  It might be the malicious program or a problem with the firewall or a real hack of the computer through the firewall or caused by malicious software (even if you use cables or wireless).  It could be the entire network (but the number of computers which implies) or only this one computer.  It could also be a system service using the network and not really another computer in itself (in office what he says and where - some may be difficult to recognize and interpreted as another computer).  There are many possibilities.  We do not know what the warning generation program or what he says.  More information is needed.  I would also like to work on it - and it can follow to her new home.

  • IPv6 connectivity shows no network access

When I want to access online through a WLAN, shows the status

    IPv4 connectivity: Internet

    IPv6 connectivity: no network access

so I think that my internet speed is going slower than before.

I also try on the properties of the network and their IPv4 IPv6 & all are in default.

now I want to know how, which can enable IPv6 connectivity?

    Hello

You don't need IPv6 to access the Internet.

If IPv6 is on or Off should not affect the speed of Internet connection (if at all in some older systems it slows down when it is turned on).

  • Printing problem after having a respectable public network access

My laptop (Dell Vostro 1500) was printing very well using a (printer OKI C5100) wireless network at work but I went to the hospital and connected to their public to access the internet network and when I came back the next day to work, my computer can connect to the internet through the network of my work, but can NOT print. When I try to print, it says 'Server Offline'.

It is the second that it happened but before I made a restore point and everything was good but unfortunately with Windows 7, Restore Point is very limited so this time, I can not go back to a date before that I accessed the public network.

    Hello Ruth,.

I went to the site of Oki and found a page color here C5100n printer: http://my.okidata.com/pp-C5100n.nsf/openingdrivermenu?OpenFrameSet . Note that Windows 7 is not a supported operating system. So, you will need to run it in Compatibility Mode. To do this: go to the program icon or file that you use to print from the printer, right-click on it and select Properties. Go on the top row of tabs up until you get to the Compatibility tab (usually the next most) and select.

On the Compatibility tab select run in compatibility mode and select Vista or Vista64, depending on the depth of your system Bit (Tip: go into Control Panel, select system, look for system type: line in the 1st info box). Check other options if you want / need them. Then click on apply, then OK to exit. Disconnect and reconnect, try printing.

Let me know if that solves the problem.

  • I don't have a single computer I need network access protection?

What network access do I need protection for?  I don't think that I need for one computer, it's not as if I needed a network for my pc with other devices that I have connected to my pc, all-in-one printer, LogiTech webcam, microphone headset, GigaWare stand alone microphone or connection MagicJack OR I DO?

The best protection of the network is to have a router that gives a hardware firewall and enable Windows Firewall even if you only have one computer.  Most people have either cable or DSL connections and with these, your computer is ALWAYS connected to the Internet.  This makes it easy for hackers to enter your computer if you do not have good firewall.  The Windows Firewall is free and you can buy routers these days for as little as $15.  If you are using a wireless connection (as with a laptop), you also want to be sure that your connection is encrypted with something like WPA-2.  If you do all these things, you'll be in good shape.  If this isn't the case, you take unnecessary risks.

    Good luck.

  • Deactivate the filter driver Cisco AnyConnect Network Access Manager

I hope that it is the community just to post this in.

I was wondering if it is possible to script disable the "Cisco AnyConnect Network Access Manager filter driver" for a LAN connection?

By comparison to the registry before and after it is manually turned off via Control Panel control-> network and Internet-> network-> connection to the Local network connections, I came with:

: remove the filter Cisco AnyConnect Network Access Manager driver
: the list of filters for the LAN adapter
    reg delete HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\ {4D36E972-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318} \0007\Linkage /v FilterList/f

: import the Cisco AnyConnect Network Access Manager filter driver
: to the list of filters, excluding the LAN adapter
    Reg import linkage - no - lan.reg

: remove the filter Cisco AnyConnect Network Access Manager driver
: the network of the LAN adapter config
    reg delete HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Network /v /f Config

: import the Cisco AnyConnect Network Access Manager filter driver
: to the network with the exception of the LAN adapter config
    Reg import network - no - lan.reg

: Remove the adapter LAN of the list of maps where the
: Cisco AnyConnect Network Access Manager filter driver is used
    reg delete HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\acnamfd\Parameters\Adapters\ {77197E43-5875-469F-A3A5-A97F63A32E0A} /f

This disables 'Cisco AnyConnect Network Access Manager filter driver' to connect to the local network, but it is not automatically to my wireless connection.  However, if I manually in a not checked the "Cisco AnyConnect Network Access Manager Filter Driver', the connection automatically changes my wireless.

The end result, I'm looking for must be able to use a wireless connection and at the same time be able to use the connection to the local network, when I connect directly to some work equipment to download the firmware files.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Hi Paul,.

Instead of hacking the registry, you can use nvspbind.exe for this task.  You can download the tool here.  It will be also NAM automatically mode interfaces.

    Disable: nvspbind.exe /d "Wireless network connection" csco_acnamfd

  • Should I have the Network Access Protection Agent Service to start automatically on Windows 8?

    Hello!

While I was looking for a completely different setting in Control Panel in Windows 8, I came across the center of the Action settings and noticed that the Agent of network access Protection service is not running. I open the computer management snap-in and noticed that the service is configured by default must be started manually. I looked for more information on the internet but I wasn't able to find a detailed explanation about his goal for a personal computer. The only explanation I found applied only to Windows Server.

Is it really necessary to configure this service to start automatically on a home network, or can it be just left set to start manually? What is its use on Windows 8? Is this just in case the computer needs to access a network of business domain?

I am running Windows 8 Pro 64-bit edition on an Acer Aspire 5552-5898 connected most of the time in my network domestic, although usually I connect to public networks. My computer is not configured to connect to a domain on a corporate network, not even using VPN. When I access my e-mail from this computer company account, I first need to authenticate with a code provided by RSA device before I can connect to Outlook (OWA).

    See you soon!

    Carlos

    Hi Cspork,

    Thanks for choosing Microsoft Community!

You have reached the right forum. Try to solve this problem.

As I understand it, in the center of the Action the officer of Access Protection settings network service does not work.

The network access Protection agent service collects and manages health information for client computers on a network. The information collected by the NAP agent are used to ensure that the client computer has the required software and settings. If a client computer is not compatible with the health policy, it can be equipped with restricted network access until their configuration is updated. Depending on the configuration of health policies, client computers may be automatically refreshed allowing users to quickly regain full network access without having to manually update the computer.

The service can be left to be set to start manually.

It is especially where the computer needs to access a network of business domain.

Hope the helps of information. Don't answer if you need assistance, we will be happy to help you.

  • Separate network access

We are a boutique of ESX 3 and I want to test ESX 4.  I want to test to see if what follows is feasible.

We put this new server up in a laboratory and do not want to connect the server ESX 4 host directly to the internet (too much paperwork :-).  We have installed on a PE2950 III test.  We have added initially to the test of the Internet so that it can get the updates, but now that all this is done, we want to cut the host ESX 4 to the internet completely (we want it to be scope in other local - but not internet network systems).  We wish, however, the test of the virtual computer, which will be part of the test domain (which will be created in a virtual machine), to have access to the internet.  Is this possible?  If so and we get set up which, once we buy the licenses for ESX 4, will we have to cancel this configuration in order to activiate the server (which means that we will have to provide internet connectivity to the host ESX 4 to activate).  And it's normal, our ESX 3 hosts are connected to a server that manages licenses.  I have already installed ESX 4 and the vehicle currently has 35 days left that are for our test.

What are your thoughts on that?

    Thanks in advance

For GW and DNS configuration, you can use vSphere client to access your host.

"And then select your host from inventory, select configuration on the right window, then * DNS and positioning.

As far as I KNOW, VMware ESX/ESXi host are like other hosts and machines/systems, as long as they don't address GW and DNS, they can't reach Internet.
