Unidentified with Wi - Fi network problem

I have a small win7 32 bit netbook. I have two wireless sources, a router and an access point. After I saw you come back from vacation, the router wireless connection works fine, but the access point gives me no access to internet, indicating 'unidentified network '. On the network and sharing page, it says 'public network' under 'unidentified network' and I don't know how to change this back to the Home Network. I've deleted and rebuilt the connection of access without success point. Diagnosis cannot make a decision. Any suggestions? Thank you

No Access Point new... no problem. Thank you.

On a side note, even if the box is checked and my profile email is correct, I stopped getting notifications. Any suggestions?

Thanks, Larry

This occurs in all versions of Windows 10 as host including last leaks.

Host: Windows 10 - vmware workstation. Role Hyper.V.

No problem creating Hyper-V virtual machine in VMware Workstation.

When you create a virtual network in Hyper-V (bridge), features network correctly, but when you restart the computer host, you lose connectivity to the network. Disabling the virtual card and returning it to allow, the network recovers.

Apparently, it seems as if it was a mistake for windows 10. But when Windows 10 is installed on a real machine, there is a good network connectivity (included in the system restarts), so everything indicates to the virtual network interface which offers vmware.

  • Persistent problems with wireless home network

Hi, the problem started two weeks or more ago, when after the connection to the internet easily using our wireless network connection, my computer began to say that our domestic network was unidentified, then studied by troubleshooting my self but do not really understand the information the computer indicated to me. As it was a problem of the internet I contacted our local provider broadband, they looked like the line and the service was absolutely perfect and to confirm this router computer of my father in the same cable network has internet connection easily as it was my mom who was using the connection via the same router wireless cell phone.
Following the instructions of technitians I have tried to manually enter internet addresses to see if that would help the internet connection, it did. So I thought that the problem has been resolved. I had the use of the internet that day and everything was fine until I restarted the next morning. The problem reappeared. So I called my internet provider again, this time I'm sorry to say to a girl rather too quickly diagnosed that I had a virus to uninstall Google chrome and reinstall a different browser... That didn't make sense to me, but I tried some sort.  So I moved my office tower and all the bits in one place in the House were we could conect it to the router with an ethernet cable followed his instructions then moved the computer to its original position but still no internet connection and still this problem 'identification '. I turned off the machine and tried again the next day. Start by running the troubleshooting of network problems, this time I looked at the detailed report which curiously stated that the computer had difficulty oscillating between two somethings (sorry don't remember the detail correctly is days ago)
So I called my internet provider again and I am a helpful young man, read him the information and examined the reports that they had written about the problem in the days preceding. I followed his instructions looked in the network sharing Center, settings changed and added in manual codes for the internet, turn off the router for 10 seconds or more and then restarted, this time with not even a temporary success. We tried a few things but I always got the same contradictory message in the dialog box in the lower right corner, where it showed I was connected to the local network not connected to the internet, when I opened the network sharing Center from the local network to the router would show that 'Identification' and the conection to the internet would be marked with a cross. I managed to pass my network profile is for some reason any defined to the public rather that home and we were able to change it (even if it wasn't easy)
So I was told it was probably a driver issue, I was told I might need check the updates of my license on this operation the technitian and I also saw the site of netgear, that there was a potential conflict between Kaspersky and the netgear driver, so I need to uninstall my Kaspersky anti-virus stuff and the old pilot , down load and install the new drivers and then reinstall kaspersky. I followed it. (Movement of the tower and all the bits in place in the House were the ethernet cable was available).  I found an updated driver, uninstalled downloaded kaspersky and run only the driver installed Kaspersky again. Everything seemed to go well and I even plugged in the wireless adapter connected to the internet through that and disconnected the cable... things were going well.
So I turned off the machine and carried over into my room where I turned on once again. The problem reoccured. I thought it was time to communicate with kaspersky. So I turned the computer off and reduced to the ethernet cable. Connected a Kaspersky contacted by e-mail, they were quick and I was asked to run a program that logeed my information system. I did this and I told them I thought it might be a conflict between the driver and their softwear, they have looked into it, asking me to run a misuse of this program and the results by e-mail. Once again, I've followed the instructions and took notes, but no problem was found. They showed me how to configure my kaspersky firewall to allow access to the networks. It's when I was doing that I noticed that the computer had five ads of our home network, so I put all the profiles of their trust, apply changes and tested to see if it would work. On the wireless internet in the office where the ethernet cable and a router are by train, it's good, it works. I connected the wireless network and disonnect the ethernet then on the internet and there is no break in service. But if I shut down the computer and set up in my room at 12 meters, it won't work with signal strong (4 / 5 bars are green).

This morning I watched the windows firewall settings and changed some of them to see if that makes a difference. but none.

I'm trying hard to think about this problem but I'm getting nowhere fast, I know just enough. I just tried pluging in the wireless network adapter again, but there is no wireless network connection now and no internet connection:

After having tried downlaoding a new driver and this has not fixed the problem after having only tested the wireless signal is strong enough for good internet connection to my mother's computer in my room, I'm stuck. I looked on the netgear site and follow their advice, but it's really a night Mare!
I also noticed that somehow, we put in place five versions of our home network, I wonder if there is some confusion computer... I looked into the idea of the removal of the networks, and it seems that you can not do. I am trying to back up my files, uninstall everything and re - build my computer from scratch. If there is something else I should try before taking this message please drastic measures me ASAP.

    Hello

It seems that something is blocking the wireless to connect to the wireless router and to obtain a valid IP address.

    Maybe this can help.

These steps and tell us where is the breaking point.

Check the Device Manager for the wireless card valid entry.

    http://www.ezlan.NET/Win7/net_dm.jpg

If there is no valid entry, remove any entry from fake and re - install the drivers for the wireless card.

Check network connections to make sure that you have a network icon/entry wireless connection, and that the properties of the icon (right-click on the icon) are correctly configured with the TCP/IPv4 protocol in the properties of network connections.

    http://www.ezlan.NET/Win7/net_connection_tcp.jpg

    ------------------

The wireless card drivers much also install utility wireless of the seller.

Make sure that if there are teas from Wireless Utility of seller does not work with the native Windows wireless utility (Service WLAN).

    ----------------

Make sure you firewall No. preventing / blocks wireless components to join the network.

Some 3rd party software firewall continue to block the same aspects it traffic Local, they are turned Off (disabled). If possible set up the firewall correctly, otherwise totally uninstall and get rid of its remaining processes that permit the own local network traffic flow.

If the 3rd party software is uninstalled, or disables, make sure Windows native firewall is active .

party like Hello and NetMagic 3rd network managers can block local traffic too.

    ---------------------------

Stack TCP/IP work should look like.

Right-click on the wireless network connection card, select status, details and see if she got an IP address and the rest of the settings.

    http://www.ezlan.NET/Win7/status-NIC.jpg

Description is the data of the card making.

The physical address is MAC of the card number.

The xx must be a number between 0 and 255 (all xx even number).

YY should be between 0 and 255

ZZ should be between 0 and 255 (zz all the same number.)

The date of the lease must be valid at the present time.

    * Note 1. IP that starts with 169.xxx.xxx.xxx isn't valid functional IP.

    * Note 2. There could be an IPv6 entries too. However, they are not functional for Internet or LAN traffic. They are necessary for Win 7 homegroup special configuration.

    ---------------------------------------------------

A message in the small window that says connected wireless doesn't means that you are really a valid functional connection.

Above everything is OK, you must be able to connect to the router.

Connection to the router means that you can enter the IP of the router base in an address bar in one go, being able to connect and configure the router menus see.

If it doesn't connect to the router, journal newspaper from any computer that can connect to the router wirelessly with a wire, disable wireless security, make sure that the wireless SSID broadcast is enabled and try to connect with no. wireless security.

  • I have a problem with the wireless network card.

    Hello

I use a laptop Medion MIM 2210 and I have a problem with my wireless network adapter.

I get a message before Windows 7 starts telling me that there is problem with a wireless driver. The exact message says:

    "Intel UNDI, PXE - Z.0 (build 082)

    Copyright (C) 1997,1998,1999 Intel Corporation

VIA Rhine II Fast Ethernet Adapter v2.43 (2005/12/15)

PXE - E61: Media test failure, check cable of

"PXE - MOF: exit Inel PXE ROM.

This message appears every time you start and I don't know what he means by "Media Test Failure".

I turned on my laptop today and noticed I had no internet connection, it showed that it connected but with yellow '!' symbol indicating that it was not fully connected. He did this for a while now and I have reinstalled Windows, in safe mode and I tried to delete the drivers and re - install, but it hangs right on uninstall what makes me angry no the case.

Of course now, I tried to look for help my internet connection is running but the message is still there. Can someone tell me what to do or how to solve this problem, I am standing now on what to do. I was also on the drivers Medion website but it is impossible to navigate around and drivers without end there'e to choose. I would consider ringing them and asking them if they were not located in Germany as it would cost me a bomb! I did just now searching online via the Device Manager to see if he can find an update for the drivers but nothing came.

Thanks for any help that anyone can offer :)

The message is to be cause the BIOS looking for boot from LAN (not wireless) before it starts and then from the hard drive. The Media test failure is because to boot from LAN it tests to see if the wired Ethernet is connected, it is not if it generates the error message.

Enter the BIOS press F2 after initial power on but before the Logo Windows shows

Integrated devices should allow you to set the settings of wired network adapter. According to the BIOS it is either "enabled with PXE" or have another option to enable or disable the boot ROM

In the boot options the LAN card should be removed altogether.

This message is ONLY applicable to the transfer of the BIOS boot process and should have no impact on the problems of WiFi (it is not on WiFi)

  • Network with ESXi 4 VM problem

    Hello

I have network problems with one of my ESXi 4. VMs I have two switches virtual, vSwitch0 and vSwitch1. vSwitch 0 contains the virtual network machine and the management network. I attributed to this network an IP address and I can connect to my ESXi host through the vSphere Client. vSwitch1 contains the VM Network 2 network and the virtual machine, I created on the host computer. This network will not respond to pings or Remote Desktop connections. If I connect to the virtual machine (Win2k8 R2), he cannot ping the default gateway or any other host on the network. I checked that all the IP addresses, gateways and DNS servers are correctly defined. If I put the host in the network of the VM, it responds to the pings and CdR - VM Network 2equals, no dice.

  • Airport network problem

Today I started having problems with my home network that worked for a couple of years now without any problems. The network is based on a 5th Gen Time capsule as the main with a router number of secondary devices providing a roaming throughout my home network that is to say a 2nd Time Capsule Gen, 2nd Gen Airport Express and 1 st Gen Airport Express all connected by ethernet. The problem my wife initially reported that its Macbook Air was not connected to the internet. When I used the Airport utility to see what is going on he has reported that all secondary devices cannot be found. At the same time, I found that my MacBook and our iPhones and an iPad where no connection to our wifi. I said to THE forget secondary devices and then tried to switch the power to them to see if they would then appear in Airport utility, but without success. If I turn on secondary devices that they do not appear in UA. If I try to use configure other... in UA to access secondary devices it does not appear to be able to communicate with them.

I don't know if it's relevant or not, but I remember that, on 21 August, I discovered that Time Machine did not all backups since 15 August and I restarted the primary time capsule by activating / deactivating the power. Since then, Time Machine seems to work very well.

The main time Capsule is set to use back to my Mac.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Apple has had some recent problems with Back to My Mac, which seem to have been resolved, but still there may be consequences.

For now, please turn off Back to My Mac on the Time Capsule and let all other airports shut down.

Check that devices can connect to the Capsule of time properly, and that backups are properly trigger.

Once it's done... and assuming that the devices can connect at the same time Capsule correctly... Turn on only other airports and check to see if the devices can connect to the airport "extended" and also if it will appear in AirPort Utility.

If so, then start another airport and test the same way.  Continue to turn on airports and tests as you go.

If the entire network is power back up and running new and get the rear Capsule and work as well as your main Mac. Back to My Mac to reactivate and check that devices can connect to properly Time Capsule.  Then, turn the other airports, one at a time to check each of them before you turn on the other.

However, if one of the other airports will not work properly or it does not appear in AirPort Utility, then you have to stop at this point and after return.

  • card 3160 AC wireless network problems

    Hello

I bought a laptop HP Envy M6; product # G5N44UA #ABA running Windows 8.1 64-bit, and I have a problem with the wireless network card. It is a version of Intel dual-band AC3160 wireless 16.6.0.8

The problem is that when I close the lid, do go to sleep or turn off the computer, it restarts when it says that it cannot connect. When I run the troubleshooting it says that there is something wrong with my (physical) access point. If I run the access point troubleshooting it reboots the access point which solves the problem, until he falls asleep again.

What did I try? So far...

    (1) uninstalled and reinstalled the driver. No change.

    (2) changed some settings about «closing the lid» power management Changed for the 'status quo' when lid closes.

Now when he goes to sleep or if there is, it does not detect the network at all unless I restart again.

I changed the rear power settings, but I need to know if I have a hardware problem and how to get fixed.

    Thank you

I was intrigued by the validations and proposed solutions to the question of the network adapter 3160.  I have a 8 month old G0T55AV of HP Envy 15 t-K000 Notebook 64-bit Win 8.1 with 12 GB of Ram, and of course the AC adapter / 3160 of Intel.  I should mention that I am a fan of long-time HP products.  It's my second computer of this model as first a miserably failed with Touch Pad questions and passing AC 3160 failures, if HP has requested that I return it and they were replaced by a new.  Shortly after I received my other 'News' that also came with the AC3160, I started having network disconnects when you wake up mode "Eve".  I found articles about uncheck the power saving mode.  That worked for a while and all of a sudden, I once again began to have problems.

I contacted Tech Support Chat repeatedly and most recently of several days.  They diagnosed the problem and as usual tried to remove and download the drivers that had been made several times previously.  They also disabled several of my 'start-up' services and was intending to leave them turned off until I challenged, who also screwed up some of my services.  I also noticed that now I could not the PC to recognize the adapter in wake up.  I have to restart the PC to refresh and identify the adapter, a problem that I had not seen before.   If after all this, the recommendation was to perform a factory reset.  I objected, so I was sent a box to ship my computer in for 7-10 days service center where the reset would be carried out.  Of course, I had to delete all my data and it should reinstall all software installed after initially receiving the computer 8 months ago.  WHAT?  Of course, it would be no monetary cost to me; However, the grief of being without my PC and reload data and software has been a big emotional event.

I took a chance to solve on my own.  HQ 3160 being an Intel product, I went to the page 'pilot' of the Intel website specifically for the AC 3160.  I noticed that the iteration of driver used by HP several iterations behind the current driver from Intel.  I tried using the program to automate the update of the Intel driver.  The program has identified the adapter such as the need to update; However, the pilot would not move through their utility.  Do not know why.  I finally found a link on their site which allowed me to download and install the most recent driver manually.  I've been running for almost a week and so far, I had no network card failures.  Without losing the connection on sleep, without losing the identity of the card, nothing.

I do not claim that it would work in every situation of AC3160 has failed, but it seemed to work for me at least to date.  My shipping box to return my PC arrived Friday 2/13; However, I hold that the driver will continue to operate successfully.  This brings a few questions in mind:

    (1) why the HP Technical Support uses them most recent updated driver from the manufacturer?

    (2) why not HP own up to the fact that the AC3160 may be defective, issue a reminder and replace them?  I know the answer! $$$$$$$

    (3) why HP joined with Intel and provide a common solution to the end user?

    (4) why HP does not provide a specialty within Technical Support Group to deal only with issues AC3160 to prevent "groping" solutions that could potentially cause more harm than good?
