The Manager of devices-other devices-Universal Serial Bus
I have a laptop HP Envy dv7 - 7227cl. It came with Windows 8. I formatted the HARD drive and put Windows 7 Ultimate on it. I went on HP website for my model and put all drivers to this topic. I got everything to work, except the 3 USB 3.0 ports. The USB 2.0 port works fine and when I plug a USB key in it recognizes it and its proper use. When I plug a USB key into one of the USB 3.0 ports 3 nothing happens. No light on the thumb and no bubble of recognition in Windows.
In Device Manager it reads other devices under the two headings. They all have both read (USB) Universal Serial Bus controller. I tried right click and let Windows search for a driver and it says that it cannot find a. I am at a loss here. I searched and searched for a solution and don't know what to do. Any help or advice would be appreciated.Thank youHello
You have reached the right forum. I've surely you will help find a solution on the issue.
You see an exclamation point on the control of USB device drivers in Device Manager?
You can check if you can provide us with the error message for the devices in the Device Manager. Please refer to the below steps.
a. open the Device Manager by clicking the Start button, click Control Panel, clicking system and Maintenance, and then clicking Device Manager. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
b. in the device, Manager find device , then right click on the name of the device and go to properties.
c. now on the general tab, check the status of the device. Let us know the status of the device. Also you can inform an error code with the State.
Drivers and download
As the computer came pre-installed with Windows 8, I suggest you to contact HP support to obtain the driver suitable for Windows 7.

Hope this information helps. Please reply back with the State so that we can help you.

Also, I installed a new windows 7 64 - bit, I hardly did to install allmost all the drivers from this link:
Most of the pilots could not be installed, telling me that I am suggesting not all system requirements to install this specific driver...
I'm strugeling with my Amd Radeon graphics card install also, in device manager says: Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43).
I went to the Amd Web site, I download from there is version 14.501.1003.0 for Amd Radeon HD series 7400 M (same dough I remember that I have a series of 6xxxm on my laptop). It didn't matter how hard I tried to install the correct driver, only this one worked...
A year and a half a go on my model laptop that it's really simple to get all the correct drivers drivers hp supports, but now... There are a lot of drivers than mach doesen't with my machine.
my product is: QG799EA #ABU, model: dv6-6b51ea with core i5, 6 GB of ram (if this is important).
Believe me, I've installed windows on a large number of PCs and laptops, but as mine... ever... .to fight so hard to do things... 6 hours...
Well, I hope you can help me with this. Sorry that I have several questions to a post...
Hello:
You need these drivers for devices:
PCI\VEN_1033 & DEV_0194:
ACPI\HPQ0004:
USB\VID_138A & PID_0018 & REV_0078:
The only graphics driver that you can install is this one. Do NOT install the stand-alone Intel graphics driver.
This driver installs the drivers for the AMD and Intel graphics processors switchable.

How can I download the drivers for the Universal Serial Bus controller?
After many restarts and troubleshooting tests, I had to go into Device Manager and uninstall some drivers under USB bus controllers because I was faced with a problem where my usb ports were not recognizing my mobile. I can't find drivers for usb on hp website?
HI @sazz1295 ,
Thank you for visiting the Forums HP's Support and welcome. I read your thread on your HP laptop and the USB doesn't work does not correctly. Here is a link to solve the USB connections.
I would like to uninstall all listed in the universal serial bus controllers list.
Please note remove any and all USB devices and remove the memory card in the slot of the card reader. Disconnect all non-essential devices before you uninstall the controller Universal serial bus.
Restart your computer, and then insert the USB device.
Here is a link to the HP Support Assistant. Simply download and run the application and it will help with the software and drivers on your system.
I hope this helps.
Thank you.

Universal Serial Bus (USB) Controller, pilot missing
Nice day
I had to reimage my laptop Dell Latitude 3540, who recently bought with Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit, and although I could install all drivers successfully, I have a yellow exclamation mark on my device manager next to (USB) Universal Serial Bus controller. I sought the support of drivers @ Dell, I installed the software My Dell and even installed the driver Intel utility update but could not solve the problem. Would you be kind enough to advise me on how to solve this problem?
Thanks for the post of EJN63 but I already have sp1 and I used these drivers on my initial install.
However, I just thought about it: I did a search of the Bus USB controller hardware id and noticed on the 3540 Dell chipset is Intel 8 running on the processor Interl i5 4th Gen. So I did a search for drivers USB 3.0 on the Intel site and installed successfully.

Aspire driver E5-551 Windows 7 Universal Serial Bus (USB)
I installed Windows 7 in Acer Aspire E5 - 551G, but there doesn't seem to be an operating system that is supported by ACER, because on the page to download ACER drivers, drivers are available only for Windows 8.1
I found manually and installed successfully the various drivers for Windows 7, but I'm not able to find the appropriate driver for the "pilot of Serial Bus universal (USB)", and I guess that's the reason for a USB connection that does not work.
Anyone know which is the correct driver?
Thank you
