Unknown device I have Device Manager after upgrade to Windows 7 (dv7-2114eo - CNF9315MTN)

I'm really satisfied with my newly acquired HP Pavilion dv7-2114eo (read my review here; ( http://abokevin.com). As soon as I got it I did a clean install of Windows 7 Ultimate (x 64) on it. I used HPs driver for this model page and installed all the software and drivers available. After completing the upgrade process, I always had an unknown device in Device Manager. In the properties of the device, the device hardware ID is listed as ACPI/HPQ0004 and * HPQ0004.

Do you know all the drivers available that will allow this unit correctly? If not, do you know if HP will provide drivers for this device (coming soon) What is this device?

Hello

  • Lenovo G580 Bletooth are not not in Device Manager after upgrade Windows 10

Hello everyone, I'm sorry for the question once again, but after that I have upgraded to Windows 10 my Bluetooth did not appear on the Device Manager. I tried everything to fix it, but all the solutions on the previous posts has not worked for me. When I press Fn + F5, the window opens and the Bluetooth is turned on but is nothing on Device Manager, as well as the drivers do not work, I mean I can install drivers but still nothing appears in the Device Manager. initially I had 1 single unknown device, but it's the card reader, I found a driver for it and it worked, but I tried everything with the bluetooth, but nothing worked. BTW, I tried to boot Ubuntu just to see if the Bluetooth works and Yes Ubuntu see my Bluetooth adapter and he works on it, but when I run Windows 10, nothing works with Bluetooth.

My device is: Lenovo G580 20150

    Thanks in advance

    Thanks for the quick reply,

I installed the driver bluetooth of windows 8 and still not recognized. I have haveup windows date and not helped, so windows update doesn't work for me. My before OS was Windows 7 Pro 64 bit and everything worked well, and will very likely downgrade to windows 7 to make everything work. I'll wait for the proper drivers and I'm going back to Windows 10.

Thanks for the help and have a nice day.

  • Computer desktop Fujitsu Siemens, no audio output device installed after upgrading to Windows 7

I have a Fujitsu Siemens computer that was running Windows XP. I put it to update to Windows 7 and it seems to be a problem to find a compatible sound card driver. He was previously SoundMAX Integrated Digital Audio.

The speaker at the bottom of desktop icon has a red x on it and when I hover over with the mouse, he said, "no audio output device is installed".

Device Manager displays "Multimedia Audio Controller" under "other devices" but said that no driver files have been loaded.

It seems that the driver has been deleted and I can't find a compatible replacement.

Help, please! I tried to watch countless blogs where people seem to have similar problems but none of the answers seem to work.

    Thank you.

    Re-post giving the name/model/REF. n ° of your PC.

If there is no specific driver for W7, then you can try to install Vista drtivers (if they exist) in compatibility mode (no guarantee it works well).

  • HP Pavillion 11-N028TU X 360: boot device error after upgrade to Windows 10

    Hello

My laptop had been improved automatically to Windows 10 about 3 days ago. It was fine, but last night, he had a funny noise and stopped working suddenly. I restarted my laptop, but it has shown a pop-up notification:
"not found - boot device please install an operating system on your hard drive.

This morning, I took my laptop to the IT Help Desk at my University, but strangely I could start it and the connection to my windows without any error notification but it took like a usual (about 15 minutes).

What should I do with my laptop? It seems to work normally now, but I fear that it will freeze again all of a sudden. By the way, anyone know if I can use my warranty to the United Kingdom if I bought my laptop in my home country?

    Thank you.

    HI @rose0521,

  • Device Manager is blank in Windows XP.

Original title: Recovery of the Device Manager.    Activation of plug-and-play and change registry permissions and allowances. Everything seems to be in order. But Device Manager is still empty.  Concerning

Please help me if you can. I've been struggling with this problem for 10 days now. I use Windows XP every thing seems to work apart from the Device Manager. I thought at first that I had a problem with the CD/DVD units and eventually the mouse and wireless keyboard, but I then discovered that the Device Manager is empty. I tried to retrieve it using what I thought be set appropriate windows solutions. I also have triedthe solutions suggested by the members in the history of office help. IE: method 1. The Plug-and-Play Service and method 2; Check the permissions change and register. No change, the Device Manager is always empty. I also tried to use the recovery system, but who will return only 5 days. I can't reload Windows like the DVD player does not have the disc. Thanking you in anticipation. Concerning

    Hi Ronald,.

    Thanks for choosing Microsoft Community!

You have reached the right forum. Let us work as a team and try to solve this problem.

If I understand correctly, the Device Manager is empty in Windows XP.

    Try the following article:

Device Manager may not show that all devices and network connections may not display network connections after installing Windows XP Service Pack 3 (SP3):

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/953979

    You can also check:

Device Manager and network connections may be blank after you install Windows XP Service Pack 3:

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/953791

Important: this section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, click on the number below to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
