Since the Microsoft Answers forum does not have any kind of information system request when a new question is asked, we know absolutely nothing about your system.  Not knowing the basic information a problem prolongs the frustration and the agony of these issues.

Thank you MS Answers, allowing the resolution of simple problems as frustrating and a lot of time as possible.

If that's really what you see, then your system is now or was hit by malware.

It is sometimes easy to get rid of the error message by doing something like disable the startup item in msconfig (if you can still find), but I suggest you fix the problem and difficulty not only the symptom of the problem by simply deleting the startup message.
I would also not recommend you start digging in the registry to try to find the startup item and remove it unless you have a backup of your system or at least a backup of your registry, because there is no 'Cancel' or 'quit without saving changes' option in regedit.  If you make a mistake, that's all.
These ideas relieve 'rapid' and sometimes risky of the symptom if they not even work at all, but they can't actually solve the problem.  Also, I'd be suspicious of ideas that begin with the words "try."  You don't need to try things, you need to fix things.  You don't need to try ideas that might work, you must do something that will always work all the time.
Here are the detailed instructions that protect you and solve your problem in the 'right' way.
There is very little. DLL files that should be loaded from the C:\WINDOWS folder and is not one of them.  If you do not have a good explanation for the name of the file in a Google search, the chances are good that your system is currently or has been infected by malware.
A "Cannot find...". ', ' Failed to start..., "Could not load..." ». "Might not work... "" Cannot run ""error loading... ". "or"specific module could not be found"message at startup is usually related to the malware that has been configured to run at startup, but the referenced file has been removed after a malware scan, leaving behind him a startup item or the registry entry pointing to a file that does not exist.
It might be a removal of malicious software or an application not installed.  The entry may have a curious looking name since it was probably generated at random when the malware was installed. If you search your system for the referenced file, you may not find.
Windows attempts to load this file but cannot locate because the file has been deleted for most probably during an analysis of the malware. However, an orphaned associate of remainders of startup parameter or registry entry and tells Windows to load the file when you start or connection.
So you should delete the referenced entry Windows stop trying to load or run the file. It may or may not be included in the registry, but you can find it.  Autoruns (see below) you get the elements no matter where it is.

You must be sure to solve the problem and not just fix the symptom of the problem by simply relieving your message - system is not a fix (there is a difference).

If you just locate and uncheck the item in msconfig, which disables the element but does not remove the reference to the element of false starting your computer.   The msconfig program is not a Startup Manager, that's a troubleshooting tool.  Disabling things in msconfig to put an end to the messages and think that your problem is solved is short-sighted and leave behind him a sloppy XP configuration.  Just disable the display of a start-up error message should not count as a 'solution' to the problem.
If you are comfortable editing the registry, you can find and remove the reference directly from there or remove it using a popular third-party tool called Autoruns.  The problem can always be found in the registry well.
Before making any changes to your registry by hand or with third-party tools, don't forget to first make a backup of the registry
. There is no cancellation or exit without saving the option in regedit.
Here is a link to a popular registry backup tool:
You can also use the Autoruns to find the element of start remains little matter where he's hiding.  Autoruns does not install anything on your computer.  It will display all startup locations where the reference may be then you can turn it off or remove it completely.  Here is the download link for Autoruns:
Run Autoruns.exe and wait that he at the end of the filling of the list of entries.
When the Autoruns is finished scanning your system, it will say "Ready" in the lower left corner.  Autoruns can be a little intimidating to first if you have never seen it before because it displays a lot of information.  You are really interested only a few sections.
The problem is usually to start the system or the user startup entries, then click the connection tab and see if the startup item is there.
Scroll through the list and look for a boot entry associated files in the error message.
If you can't find on the connection tab, look in any tab.
You can also click file, search to search for logon, or any tab for all or part of the name of the element.
Right-click on the offending entry and choose Remove.  If you are not sure what it is, you can just turn it off, restart and if the problem is resolved and things are functioning normally and everything works fine, then remove the offending entry.  If you don't see it in Autoruns, you may edit the registry and remove the item from your startup folder it.  Autoruns shall display the same information however.
Given that your system has or has had an infection, follow up with this:
Perform scans for malware, and then fix any problems:
Download, install, update and do a full scan with these free malware detection programs at:
    Malwarebytes (MMFA): http://malwarebytes.org/
    SUPERAntiSpyware: (SAS): http://www.superantispyware.com/
They can be uninstalled later if you wish.

  • ' INVALID BOOT. Message from INI file when you start Windows XP

I get the error message "INVALID BOOT. INI file"when I start the computer, but then, it goes into XP.  Could someone tell me please how to fix this?  I don't have the Windows XP CD because my friends brother died and they gave me the computer, and it was already installed.  I could get the CD if necessary, but I was wondering if there is a way to fix this without it?  Thank you in advance for your help!

If you see a message like this:

    Invalid BOOT. INI file
    Booting from C:\windows\

This usually means that the c:\boot.ini file is missing, but you can replace it.

Miss the file would require a little extra work, since it is normally a hidden system, read-only file, but I can think of many things that is happy to remove it for you.

If the system is working properly, what do you think happened to the system since the last time, he did not work properly?

You now, or have you had the "Ask Toolbar" installed on your system?

Do you now or nave already used third-party applications on your system where the product description includes descriptive as sentences:

cleaner, mechanic, detective, doctor, heal, optimize, clean up, tune up, speed up, set towards the top, compact, compress, faster, power, boost, boost, gum, muncher. guaranteed or all that has an icon that looks like a key, the key or the screwdriver?

In a facility only XP partition has not even need a c:\boot.ini file starts - he's going to complain, but this threshold always begin.

You must create a new file c:\boot.ini.  It's just a text file, so you can use any text editor such as Notepad or WordPad to create a new file.

Here is an example of a simple c:\boot.ini file you can copy and paste the text to a new file. :

    [boot loader]
    Timeout = 5
    default = multi (0) disk (0) rdisk (0) partition (1) \WINDOWS
    [operating systems]
    "multi (0) disk (0) rdisk (0) partition (1) \WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional "/ noexecute = optin/fastdetect

When you get this text into your text editor, do a save as, and save the file as:

    c:\Boot.ini

Answered in the affirmative if invited to replace the existing file.

    Then restart your system.

If the file is missing once again, we need to understand why and fix it.

  • When you start Windows Media Player I get error: "Server execution failed".

    Hello

When I try to start Windows Media Player by double-clicking an audio or video file, I get the error "Server execution failed" for this file. Can someone tell me what this means and what I can do about it?

    Thank you

    Christi

    Hi Christi,

You may receive this error if you try to open a file media shortly after the closing of Windows Media Player (WMP).  When you close WMP, the user interface is closed immediately, but WMP continues to be in a State of "shutting down" for a few seconds, and the process is still in activity during this period.

To avoid this problem it should be enough to wait a few seconds before Windows Media Player opens, 2 seconds at least.

  • Qosmio G30 white screen when you start Windows XP

Hi everyone - first time poster here!

Today I turned on my Qosmio Toshiba G30 as I normally do, except that this time, the screen remained blank. Normally, the start of Qosmio screen appears with the music of Qosmio, but only Qosmio music out... no image on the screen! The computer continues to boot properly, but nothing has been posted.

I panicked and I thought I'd need to buy a new computer...

While I was on the phone with a friend to a support, I pressed the "TV Out" button (found in the upper right corner). That's it - the screen turned on, but all my icons have been reorganized.

I tried to reinstall the display driver, but this is still the case every time that I reboot. The problem occurs not when putting the computer to sleep and look upwards again.

Any help would be much appreciated!

    Thank you...

    Hello

Check if the video output has not been set for external monitor or TV.
You can change this by using the FN + F5 key combination.

I also recommend to connect an external monitor to the laptop.
Maybe you have defined somehow (accidentally) the external display as the primary display?  :|

However, you are using Win XP as I m wrong not the laptop has been pre-installed with Vista. (is it true?)
Maybe you should take a recovery disk Toshiba and must be reinstalled the self-image of Toshiba.

  • Check disk starts when you start Windows 7

I just had to install a new hard drive and a message to run the disk check.

But when he got to the verification of the empty space it was running at a pace that would have taken 3 hours.  I couldn't stop her, so I rebooted.

When the computer starts up again, it shows a message he must run check disk, to stop it press any within 6 seconds.

Regardless of the keys on which I push it does not stop, it starts to check entire disk.

    How can I stop it?

Why did you have to install a new hard drive?

If chkdsk runs automatically reboot there's a reason - Windows has detected the volume is 'dirty' or a chkdsk was scheduled to run by you on the next reboot.

It could take a very long time the chkdsk to run (several hours) depending on the size of the volume being checked, the amount of data on the volume, the speed of your system and what the chkdsk finds to do.

Interruption of the process won't keep it from running again the next time that you restart and can make things worse so it's best to wait outside and let it finish naturally.

When Windows starts, it checks the "dirty bit" on all volumes to see if a chkdsk with error correction should run and when a volume is dirty Windows will automatically run the command chkdsk with error correction.  The only way to disable the on a volume's dirty bit is to let a chkdsk with error correction for do you by running up to the end.

The dirty bit is adjustable on a volume of an aborted reboot, power failure, abnormal termination, interruption of power supply, using the reset or start button / stop, remove the battery.  One of these events?

You can query the dirty bit on a volume from the prompt with administrator privileges.

Click on the round starting and in the box type the following:

    cmd

Right-click on cmd.exe and select run as Administrator:

To query the bit of impurity on the C drive, type the following in the command prompt window:

    fsutil dirty query C:

Example of output should be one or the other of:

    Volume c is dirty
    Volume C is NOT dirty

You should check each of your volumes or each hard disks (C, D, E, etc.).

Type "exit" to close the command prompt window and communicate your results.

The volume is dirty or not?

Windows can also run a chkdsk on reboot if you have scheduled one that runs so if this is the case, you can remove that by entering the following command from your command prompt window which will remove all planned chkdsk on all vouma:

    chkntfs /d
