unwanted browser

I subscribe to Avast internet security for anti-virus.  They recently installed a 'free' SafeZone Avast browser version.  It seems to be clogging of the few sites I visit often even if I'm not using the browser.  I want to uninstall, but it does not appear in the installed programs list.  Anyone know how I can get rid of him?

Your best bet is to contact Avast,

  • My Favorites keep disappearing after a puppy

    A few days ago, I collected a puppy Installer try to convert a video from youtube to mp3. I got rid of it using Malwarebytes, however he remained unwanted browser add ons, who questioned Firefox and I deleted. Whenever I open a browser these add ons tried to reinstall, so I downloaded a new copy of Firefox using IE but the problem persisted. I did a full scan with MBAM and using a SAS and nothing appearing. So I installed the old copy of 3 months of Firefox I had saved and then let it update. Perfect, problem solved, I thought. Then, I used Mozbackup to restore from a virus before time, which I used for years and had all my favorites return. However, now, whenever I open a browser all my favorites are there, but if I close the browser and reopen later, all my favorites disappear in front of me. I tried to restore them and then by another backup using Mozbackup while they are all there, but it's not helping. I can't restore my favorites whenever I open a browser. Help, please?

  • I delete search Google Firefox but it always comes back. How can I get rid of it for good?

    I deleted from my search provider Google. I've used about: config to remove all references to Google. After the closure of Firefox once or twice, Google is back and fits as my default search provider. I scanned for viruses and rootkits, but my computer seems to be clean.

    You notice other parameters to their default values being reset?

    Your favorite default search provider is stored in the file prefs.js, a settings file in your Firefox profile folder. Some 'cleaning' software can remove this file at intervals, and some software that protects you against changes unwanted browser can be replaced by an earlier version of the file (for example, functionality of surfing protect against Advanced SystemCare can do). • Allow users to upload documents to the server

    Hello everyone,

    I'm working on a Flex app where I allow users to open/save documents as Word document, spreadsheet Excel, PDF, Jpeg media files (any document in digital format) when a user clicks on a link in a Flex application. To do this, I'm using the navigateToURL() method and simply by passing the URL as a URLRequest string to the navigateToURL method. It works fine but whenenver the link is called and the user chooses to save him or any Excel sheet, it displays a unwanted browser window behind the open/save/Cancel dialog box saying action cancelled.

    I can't use "_self" I need to run as it is the Flex application. I tried to use the javascript:window.open() but it did not work.

    (1) is there a process to prevent the open browser window?
    (2) how can we invoke a javascript by using navigateToURL(), I tried to call javascript.alert ('Ok') and also javascript:window.open() both have not worked.
    (3) are there other classes method or flex etc to call external applications (allow to upload documents to the server)?

    Please help me.

    Thank you and best regards,
    Paromita

    Aurélie,

    You can use the file upload feature. This is the documentation:

    You can allow users to download files from a server using the FileReference.Download () method, which takes two parameters: request and defaultFileName. The first parameter is the URLRequest object that contains the URL of the file to download. The second parameter is optional - it allows you to specify a default file name that appears in the download file dialog box. If you omit the second parameter, defaultFileName, the file name of the specified URL is used.

    Following code downloads a file named index.xml from the same directory as the SWF document:

    var request: URLRequest = new URLRequest ("index.xml");
    var fileRef:FileReference = new FileReference();
    fileRef.download (request);

    To set the name by default currentnews.xml instead of index.xml, specify the parameter, defaultFileName, as shown in the following code snippet:

    var request: URLRequest = new URLRequest ("index.xml");
    var fileToDownload: FileReference = new FileReference();
    fileToDownload.download (request, "currentnews.xml");

    I think that it will accomplish what you're trying to do.

  • How can I delete unwanted notice of a change of browser settings that will not respond?

    The view is a window that appears while I'm in Google.
    The title is "changing the browser settings.
    below, as well as the yellow triangular warning [!], is a choice:
    'Keep my current settings', or
    "I am aware of this change and trust him.
    Regardless of all choices, clicking the [Yes] button has no effect.
    Neither will by clicking on the [X]

    I don't know what that means or how to remove it.

    To remove unwanted toolbars, try here first:

    Orange Firefox button or classic menu Tools > Modules > category: Extensions

    Most should have a Disable and a delete button. If find you one that has an off button, but not a button Delete, so no doubt it must be removed by the control panel "programs and features".

    I suggest disable all nonessential extensions and restart Firefox to see if that reverses the problem. You can reactivate some of your less critical extensions that you find the need.

  • unwanted flash framework keeps appearing in the browser

    Recently, I noticed that when I go on a flash site, a troublesome thin gray border appears only within the border of the browser. I don't know, but it seems that this started occurring after the update automatic windows. When you put your mouse over it than a label says "click to activate and use this control", in which case he then disappears when you click it. But it happens every time on sites in flash. Has anyone to other vu cela and how can I disable it?
    Thank you.

    Yes - it suddenly dawned on me ask anyone who may not be a developer (doh!).
    The reason for which there is today is due to a trial of Eolas patent which lost MS. Basically all active content
    (flash, windows media, quicktime player, etc...) must be enabled by the user before it plays-
    Although Flash will play really before be 'activated', if there is no interactivity and user
    you will need to click first, then click on what is done intentionally Interactive Developer.
    It's a huge pain for us all - but to be honest, I use Firefox for more than a year
    and this change of active content is not a problem in this particular browser - I spend for several
    other reasons and now I am even happier that I did.

    I do not know in time there will be some sort of tool plugin IE to active throughout the content
    automatically - until then, put in place with her or switch browsers.

    -cordially.

  • When I click on the + to open a new window I don't like the images that arise. I tried to change that in all: config; Browser.newtab.URL, but it will not

    When I click on the + to open a new window I don't like the images that arise. I tried several times to change that through words: config; Browser.newtab.URL. I put in the site I want and it won't change. I tried to put in: blank and it don't work. I'm obviously something wrong - can you help please?

    Thank you

    If Firefox is ignorant preference browser.newtab.url, the usual culprit is an extension.

    You can open the page in Firefox Add-ons using either:

    • CTRL + SHIFT + a
    • "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Add-ons
    • in the Windows "Run" dialog box, type or paste
      firefox.exe "about:addons"

    In the left column, click Extensions. Then, in case of doubt, disable (or delete, if possible) not recognized and unwanted extensions. Do not forget that all extensions are optional, none come with Firefox, and you can learn more about them by checking their reviews on the site of the Add - ons.

    Often, a link will appear above at least an extension disabled to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links in the last step.

    Any improvement?

  • Chrome browser messages in Firefox

    When I go to a secure site, as my site of 401k using Firefox 40.0.3, I get a pop up yellow bar that goes into the top of the page: "your browser (Chrome 23) is obsolete. Update your browser for more safety, comfort and the best experience on this site. "This is nuts.

    Firefox may lie about their identity, if configured in this way. You can use this test page to see what he says my site (it's the red text):

    https://jeffersonscher.com/RES/jstest.php

    Normally, he would say something like this for Windows 7 (64-bit):

    Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; RV:40.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/40.0

    If a strange user agent is caused by a setting in Firefox, this article should help clear: sites say that Firefox is obsolete or incompatible, even if it's the latest version.

    It can also be caused by an add-on, very probably an extension.

    Some unexpected update messages may indicate a bad add-on or other malicious software. If this problem is not resolved by the first part of this response, here's my method to track down and cleaning of the bad modules, the air pirates and injectors ad. I know it seems long, but it's not so bad.

    (1) open the Control Panel, uninstall a program. After the loading of the list, click on the column heading "installed on" to group infections, I mean additions by date. This can help the undisclosed items bundle smoker who snuck out with some software, you have agreed to install. Beware of everything that you don't recognize / remember, since malware often uses sounding names important or innocent to discourage you remove. Out as much garbage as possible here.

    (2) open Firefox page modules using either:

    • CTRL + SHIFT + a
    • "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Add-ons
    • in the Windows "Run" dialog box, type or paste
      firefox.exe "about:addons"

    In the left column, click on Plugins. Set essential and unrecognized plugins 'never enable '.

    (3) you can search the rest of problems with scanning/cleaning tools listed in our technical support article: Troubleshooting Firefox problems caused by malware. These scanners on request are free and take a long time to run. If they end quickly, especially if they require the payment you have a serious infection. I suggest the specialty forums listed in the article in this case.

    Success?

    (4), check your connection here:

    "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Options > advanced

    Click the mini network, then on the button "settings". The default value of 'Use system proxy settings' should piggyback on your LAN-Windows/IE setting, or 'No proxy', you can try to see if that helps.

  • Somehow, I got charged Yandex and can not get rid of it. Russian browser or something. Help

    I was in the middle of some downloads from the Internet and all of a sudden I had little Russian search boxes which appeared in and basically it seems that I loaded a program Russian Yandex. It seems to be a browser. I got rid of everything that was visible in my programs with commands uninstall. However, when I'm in Firefox and you want to add a new tab, it automatically opens this browser Yandex. It doesn't seem to be something bad for my system, but I still want to get rid of it. I deleted cookies and everything else I can think. The only evidence that tells me that it is still in my computer is a search which reveals it's a shortcut to the browser. But why it turns on when I try to open a new tab in Firefox, and why I can't get rid of it is a mystery.

    You do not have an extension named Yandex elements that would be a logical candidate for removal.

    Open Firefox page modules using either:

    • CTRL + SHIFT + a
    • "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Add-ons
    • in the Windows "Run" dialog box, type or paste
      firefox.exe "about:addons"

    Often, a link will appear above at least an extension disabled to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links in the last step.

    Success?

    If necessary, here's how you can change your page to the new tab on your favorite screen:

    (1) in a new tab, type or paste Subject: config in the address bar and press enter/return. Click on the button promising to be careful.

    (2) in the search above the list box, type or paste newtab and make a pause so that the list is filtered

    (3) double-click the preference browser.newtab.url and enter your favorite page:

    • (Default) page thumbnails = > subject: newtab
    • Blank tab = > subject: empty
    • Built-in Firefox homepage = > topic: welcome
    • Any other page = > full URL of the page

    Press Ctrl + t to open a new tab and check that it worked. Fixed?

  • How to disable drag and search, it open too many unwanted tabs.

    I used my cursor when reading Web pages. Whether it is a good thing or not, I have no intention to change. I guess that I am not only to have this habit.

    The problem is that in the Firefox browser, all drag accidental selected content (image or text) would open a new Search tab finish a reading article, about 4 to 5 unwanted tabs would be open. It's a big boring for me. I agree that this is a feature desired for many people. But I would like to have this feature as an option. I try my best to find the light switch, but in vain. I'm thinking, maybe, it is relevant to a special version. I installed Firefox on my two computers. PC Win8.1 we don't have this feature, while the PC Win7 is.

    If it works in Mode safe mode and normal mode with all extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) off and then try to find which extension is the cause by allowing an extension at a time until the problem reappears.

    Close and restart Firefox after each change via "Firefox > Exit ' (Windows: Firefox/file > quit;) Mac: Firefox > quit Firefox. Linux: Firefox/file > exit)
