Update Bios of Windows 8 for m2n61-ar

I need an update of the bios that works with windows 8 for m2n61-ar motherboard HP pavilion slimline gx615aa. All I can find is one that works with vista. I've updated this computer to windows 8, but it works always the 5.09 v of bios and I belive the most recent bios is v5.18. If someone can direct one that works with Windows 8 or a bootable update me please.

Here are the specifications of your desktop HP Pavilion Slimline s3300f. According to the specification, this model was presented for sale on or around November 26, 2007 and comes with Windows Vista Home Premium 32 - bit. HP supports only this computer in its original configuration and only provides updates of BIOS for use on the computer that is running Windows Vista. HP does not provide a version of the update of the BIOS for this computer that is compatible with Windows 8 or bootable.

You can update the BIOS installing Windows Vista on a disk replacement or using your recovery HP with a hot spare disks. By doing this, you will not have to reinstall Windows 8 after the update. You can also try the true correct BIOS since the BIOS HP softpaq and create media bootable with the BIOS and flash of routine. THIS IS NOT RECOMMENDED! You assume all risk of damage to your computer.

  • Portege M800 - update BIOS stucks - Windows 7 32 bit

    Hello world!

    I have a problem.
I downloaded the update to the BIOS of Toshiba Hompage.

The update started successfully, but the point of "BIOS News Flash ' to 'treatment block 26 of the 33"the stucks updated!
I'm waiting for almost 2 hours, but nothing happens.
My screen freezes, I can't move the cursor, the clock shows the time even... then nothing happens...

    Is this normal?
I don't think, but it's my first update of the BIOS, so I'm not really familiar with it...

    Anyone have an idea?

    It would be great help!
    Thank you!

    Hello

It's different not a common BIOS update process
The update of the BIOS should not take much time.

In your case it is possible that something was wrong during the flashing process and module ROM was not properly flashed.
I think that you are in difficulty and in my opinion, only the ASP technician would be able to help you.

The BIOS ROM must be flashed again using a crisis procedure and this can be done by a technician of the ASP.

Needsumhepvwrote... I want to run the mc in ahci mode and I want to know if it's ok to just go into the setup and upgrade the latter without having to reload vista. I heard some people that you cannot do this and others that it's ok. Just try to make sure.

I tried RAID on AHCI change on my p6130y and the computer refuses to start and blue screens. This configuration change can work for you, but then again it can't be. You need to just try and see. If it won't start after changing the setting, simply change this back.

Honestly, you must assign the SATA RAID, AHCI or IDE controller before installing the operating system. This way Windows is configured correctly at the beginning of the installation.

  • BT not detected after update BIOS and windows 8.1 & wifi adapter with envy J000 Touch series (J001tx)

Hi, I have an Envy Touchsmart J001 TX laptop.  I've upgraded to 8.1 Windows a few days back and my pc was working fine. Yesterday, my WIFI and Bluetooth stopped being detected.

I checked Device Manager and it does not show the adapters. My system has BT Ralink and Realtek wifi b/g/n.

Restart the system, WiFI present themselves and worked normally, but on next reboot disappeared again.

The physical plane mode button is orange and pressing or off change in the status of shows like airplane on or off but the notification area icon mode shows no change.

The network and sharing Center shows not router WIFI in the settings of the card and even the menu of configuration of Windows 8 don't tell no detected wirelessadapter.

I've updated my drivers and even my BIOS. Earlier I got the version of BIOS INSYDE F.24 and current installed BIOS is INSYDE F.53. Here is the log file in the folder SWsetup containing the unzipped BIOS file. I think that the BIOS is not installed correctly. Please analyze the log file and do not tell if you see something wrong.

Has anyone else had a similar problem with the update of the BIOS, or with WIFI after Win 8.1 update?

    Hello

I ask myself why Toshiba is expected to publish a bad BIOS?  :|
It makes no sense to me, you can find a lot of people with a Satellite A100 and as far as I know nobody had and problem with 5 BIOS update, 9 - Win for A100 PSAA8
So I guess you did something wrong.

However, according to the European Toshiba 6.0win driver Bios page is available at this time and should work fine

But I have an important question; Why do you want to update the BIOS?
Is there something wrong with your laptop?
If not, then the update of the BIOS is not necessary and as you already know an update of the BIOS is ALWAYS risky ;)

    take care of the GUY

  • Update BIOS version 1.55 for the hard-to-find S540!

I discovered by chance that today there is an update of the BIOS for the Thinkpad S540 at the link:

    http://support.Lenovo.com/en_GB/downloads/detail.page?&docid=DS038373

This is the version 1.55, released on 12 May.

.. .and even if I go to drivers in general download page for the selected as the portable S540 concerned and looking at the BIOS available in the list of available software and drivers, it is still the old one version 1.54 of 12 March and not the new BIOS version 1.55 may 12 as in the link above!

I think that there is a problem of updating web pages at the Lenovo site downloads?

It seems that Lenovo support web pages are updated now so it's resolved.

I had problems with horrible or recurring virus on my HP Pavilion 061 (RK551AA-ABAa1648x) so I installed Windows 7 32 bit.  The system is now incompatible: it runs slowly, often hangs and can be difficult to start.  I tried a BIOS updated, but it does not exist?  This seems strange - my current version is 3.06 14/07/2006.  I updated the NVIDIA chipset driver.  I intend to install 2 GB of additional RAM.  Then it is true that it is not a BIOS available updated?  All suggested fixes?

Restart went well after update BIOS and Windows XP logo appears loads for a few seconds then a beep and restart - last good known or start Windows normally same effect.
Reboot back to start - this is a new laptop - using the BIOS of Toshiba s official download site.

Quite annoyed to try to find a way to upgrade or downgrade the BIOS.
Took battery and RAM to see if I can delete it?

    Any ideas anyone?

I think you mean BIOS * update * and do not upgrade ;)
    An upgrade is not possible

However, you can try to remove the battery and the AC adapter and wait an hour. After that, reconnect the battery and the AC adapter and try to start Windows.
Moreover I would load the default settings in the BIOS before starting Windows.

If it doesn't work, it seems that your ROM module needs to be reflashed. In this case an ASP can help you.

  • Need help to update BIOS on Satellite L30-113

    Hello

I just downloaded the latest update of the BIOS for my Satellite L30-113 (PSL 33) and I was about to install when I remembered that I actually downgraded to Windows XP(this notebook is originally with WIndows Vista).
My question is it will produce no problem when I run the .exe file, because it can be programmed to update BIOS under Windows Vista only?
I know there are a lot of competent users who can help me in this forum.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

I just got a check for the BIOS on the support and downloads page and I found the inscription as "OS independent. This essentially means that the update is compatible with both operating systems.

Remember that when you update the BIOS, you need ensure the power supply is connected, software security is disabled, nothing is attatched to (other than the power cord) system, power is turned off (such as screensavers), saving features and no other software is running. Also disconnect from the Internet, too, if possible.

You can download the latest version of the BIOS here:
    http://Support1.toshiba-tro.de/Tedd-files2/0/BIOS-20071106150302.zip

Also, you can find the update may not work if a BIOS password is set, if this is the case, you need to delete that, too.

    Kind regards
