Update firmware of Web for failure to GS108Ev3

I have money to upgrade to version 2.00.05 but do not have a very practical Windows machine. So I thought I would use the web interface.

After entering the "loader" on the switch mode, I downloaded the firmware, only to find the router stuck in this mode charger with no way out.

I tried:

* reset

* power off/power on

* held reset for > 1 min (no effect at all).

What I do, I will never return to the screen of the firmware loader. I saw a similar question for an earlier version (https://community.netgear.com/t5/Managed-Switches/GS108E-Firmware-Upgrade-Issues/td-p/372672) that was solved by using TFTP to download the firmware. That doesn't seem to work in my case.

Ideas, or I need to get my hands on a Windows machine and try the utility?

And an update: managed to borrow a Windows machine. The ProSafe (latest version) utility did not find even the switch. Nice!

Then I tried upgrading the firmware of the chrome on the windows machine, and voila, that actually worked! What on earth could be the problem?

So, to summarize: firmware upgrade of chrome or firefox on linux failed, Prosafe utility has not detected switch, Chrome on Windows, saved the day.

I'm more confused as I was when entering.

  • jumble of text in the web interface after Web Services update / firmware

I received a message on the screen of my Officejet 6700:

    Update recommended

An update is available for Web Services (ePrint and Apps).

    Do you want?

I chose to update now and it installed fine, or so I thought.

I checked the web interface of the printer, and there is a bunch of text confused, as the code is messed up for the web server.

I had just finished to check the status of your ink cartridges (and subsequently replaced a), so I have the fully functional Web page fortunately still open on another machine, so I can tell exactly what is forward - after on this page.

On the tools > gauge of ink page, on the right page (old) the said table (title, first line, first column):

    Cartridges installed

    Color | Magenta | Cyan | Yellow | Black

    Part number

    Type

    End of warranty date (A-M-J)

    First Installation Date (A-M-J)

    Area of ink

    USE

    HP

But after the software update, it says this:

    Print the self-test Page

    L@S#0456 | Number of recorded events. L@S#0462 | L@S#0552 | L@S#0450

    Use of the accumulated media

    Date

    L@S#0477

    L@S#0561

    L@S#3345

In addition, the order "supplies" link, with a contextual text of "print order supply."

now, says "Cartridge", with a contextual text ' block unwanted faxes '

And "Print Printer Status Report" now says "L@S#2567".

I went to the support section and found an update firmware, but during download and execution, after you find the printer, he says that he is already up to date and leaves me not choosing to try and reapply the update of the firmware (as is obviously what is happening through the touchscreen menu has already done).

Should I just restore to factory settings? I think that firmware would not be changed by doing this. It is not an older version of the firmware available on the product support page, to return to an earlier version.

Via the screen menu touch printer, a Printer Status Report print indicates the firmware version is MPM3CN1322DR.

How to force a reinstallation of the firmware, or let them difficulty firmware which was released on 25-06 - 2013?

I've been using Google Chrome and even had 2 tabs open in the same window, one from before the update and the second I opened after the update, so this was not a factor.

I had not revisited the web interface of the printer to date, and currently, I see that the problem has disappeared!
The version of the firmware has not changed, and I did no manipulation of the printer. I also highly doubt that the main user has nothing, because it is not tech savvy. So, the problem seems to have corrected itself.

The only thing I see now, that I did not notice before, is that there is a version of firmware fix, but it currently says 0. I don't know what it was before, but I guess zero means that there is a patch, so the firmware didn't automatically update in order to make the problem disappears.

Problem disappeared, but I don't know how or why. I haven't decided if I will update the second printer that is the same model.

  • Firmware and updates of the Addon for D90D7

    Hello

How long do you keep the firmware updates and add-on for output devices?

Why modules are listed per unit instead of the OS?

Why the modules listed for my device not necessarily the add-on most recent available? For example WDM 5.5 contains new versions of Add-ons based Wyse.

If I want Citrix receiver for my device 4.3 How long can I expect to wait to have available for my device? Or are we supposed to simply create are own packages after you cease to make updates.

Can we expect improvements to the updates and the web in general experience finding things (downloads, forums, help, across different documents, not sure where to look sometimes) will improve with you coming under the ownership of Dell?

    Thank you

    Anthony

    Anthony,

Let me answer each question better than I can.

Q: how long do you keep the firmware updates and add-on for output devices?

A: this is related to the product life cycle. This information is found at the following ADDRESS: http://www.wyse.com/support/end-of-life-policy

Q: why modules are listed per unit instead of the OS?

A: because the firmware is "Dependent on device", the firmware and all the Add-ons are stored in the repository based on the model of the device.

Q: why the modules listed for my device not necessarily the add-on most recent available? For example WDM 5.5 contains new versions of Add-ons based Wyse.

R: the only reason that I just was an oversight of the validation group.

Q: if I want Citrix receiver for my device 4.3 How long can I expect to wait to have available for my device? Or are we supposed to simply create are own packages after you cease to make updates.

A: there is no specific time limit that we must release the Add-ons. If you need the example of 9 Citrix Receiver) right now, you can install the Citrix receiver on the thin client or you can create your own package by using WDM. See WDM Admin Guide for more details on this.

Q: can we expect improvements to the updates and the web in general experience finding things (downloads, forums, help, across different documents, not sure where to look sometimes) will improve with you coming under the ownership of Dell?

A: Yes. We are actively working on moving the site of downloads to be consistent with the processes of Dell.

I hope that answers your questions.

  • Update firmware for wireless printer?

I recently bought a LaserJet CP1525nw.  It is NOT light and it is located in a central area of my house.  It has integrated wireless and I have a wireless connection to it.  One of my PC is an HP and its pilot of routine updates check revealed that the new firmware is available for the printer. The firmware update description says that it can be run successfully on a network or through a USB connection.  Of course, my "network connection" is wireless and I have heard in the past that the firmware updates should be made via a wired connection only.  On the other hand, I have never had a printer that has been designed to operate on a wireless connection.

So my question is... is it safe allow the update of the firmware to do wireless, or do I need to connect the printer via USB?

    Thank you...

I've updated my cp1525nw, wireless, no problem.

Number of exact model of my laptop is Toshiba a200-1GH psaece

    Please help if you can

    > There is a problem somewhere in the firmware of this map or the Linux kernel
What are you talking about boyfriend? This firmware of the sound card that you hear?
    I think you're confused.

First of all there is NO firmware for the sound card. Second, the sound card is controlled by sound driver.
Always is it that Toshiba laptops are preinstalled with Windows OS.
Linux is not supported at this time, and you won't find driver for sound card for Linux.

If you need a sound driver for this sound chip, you will need to download it from Realtek Web site!

That s all about your firmware to his mysterious map.

  • Update file is invalid for this architecture?

Earlier this year, I bought a ReadyNAS NV + (silver body, 4 bays with 2 TB, plan 5.0).
It is currently running RAIDiator version 4.1.9 build 1.00a043 (Orange and blue FrontView web interface).

    Today, I bought the following.

    Python2.7_2.7.3 - rnsparc - 0.5.1
    SABnzbd_0.6.15 - rnsparc - 0.7.0
    SickBeard_0.485.1 - rnsparc - 0.8.1

Went to system/update / local. Click on "Choose file". Module ' Python2.7_2.7.3 - rnsparc - 0.5.1 "selected (bin file). Clicked on "download and check the image. Click on 'OK '. Received this error message, "update file is invalid for this architecture".

What is going on, the processor has been changed? Have I misunderstood the installation process?

Below are some information that might be relevant.

-J' did what I can to check the processor, but it seems to be nothing in FrontView or RAIDar that verifies this.
-I don't have SSH installed because I read somewhere that it invalidates the warranty.
-J' got this error even some time back, when I tried to manually update RAIDiator.
-J' just tried a few other modules SPARC and I still get this message.
-I have no third party add-ons installed.
    -J' have the 'ReadyDLNA"streaming service and"TimeMachine support"lit.
-I have not tried one of the other architecture because I don't want to lose more money and I don't know that it is SPARC.

Thanks in advance for any help.

A tech at ReadyNASXtras (MDGM) solved this problem for me. It turns out that at somepoint, I tried to install PLEX that is not available for SPARC. He failed but was not removed. There was no evidence (apart from this error) FrontView of the residue. Installation failed has confused the script of update/s. The clean tech upward and everything works fine now.

    Problem solved. Thanks MDGM.

P.S. I just learned by MDGM that a reinstallation of the RAIDiator firmware would have also fixed this.

    Cheers. EkDor

  • Update Firmware of BMC R610 of linux

    Hi mates,

I need to update a few R610 servers, I would like to only update the BMC Firmware if possible without shutting down the machines, is - it possible? I'm running debian on these machines.

I open it because I've been Googling much this and I found that maybe there are several ways to update the firmwares of server, including the iDRAC completely update, etc., but I am only interested to get the latest patches of cooling, so I guess that should be only update BMC.

Could you please some direct me in the right direction? I looked and I found some binary files in dell FTP, but I need to be sure of where to find the correct firmwares for my machines and what is the most common method through linux so far.

Thank you comrades, I appreciate the help.

    Hello

There is no separate BMC firmware in R610. You need to update firmware iDRAC who BMC features as well. Down, you can load the latest firmware iDRAC at the bottom of the location

    http://www.Dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/04/DriverDetails/product/PowerEdge-R610?driverId=63KCR&osCode=NAA&FILEID=3287900761&LanguageCode=en&CategoryID=es

You can update the firmware iDRAC without stopping or restarting the system. As you have debian on these machines, I recommend you update iDRAC using Web GUI. You can check below link with a video on the updating of the process. First half of the video is on the download of the image that has changed a bit. You can download the File Format 'Application' link above.

  • Cannot update firmware Officejet 6500 has more

I just receivevd my new Officejet 6500 a Plus (e710n-z).  The status page shows a f/w Rev. CIP1FN1110AR.  I did a search for updates on the printer itself and he says it's not.  I went to the 6500 a Plus page Web on HP.com and find f/w CIP1FN1126AR (OJ6500_E710n - z_R1126A.exe).  It is obviously a most recent version, right?  So I download it, then run it.  It works very well and even detect my printer.  However, the printer is gray and under STATUS does not say there is.

    Can anyone help with this?

    Thank you!

    Sea

    I am employed by HP

If my post helped you... click on the LAURELS on the left to say thank YOU! ***

I DID IT!  I finally got the updated firmware update!  Gotta think sometimes off the beaten path!  I am a technician in field HP and normally we cannot simply click one. EXE firmware update.  Then that which made me think to extract the. EXE (see previous post).  Then I thought about the update via USB, in the same way that we do it not connected to network Laserjet printers and it worked!

So what you have to do is extract the file update package .ful (OJ6500_E710n - z_R1206A.exe), I used 7zip for this.  Then rename it and place it in the root of C: I just renamed mine fw.ful, short and sweet.

Then you need to share the printer, use a name that is short and sweet.  I called mine Officejet.

Then I went to a command prompt (not sure if it was necessary, but only in the case) and copied the firmware file.  Here is the command that I used

    copy/b c:\fw.ful \\your computername\printer sharename

My printer works now the firmware version 1206!  Not sure why it wouldn't run and update you want to its supposed to but at least now we have a way to do it.  I hope everyone can get what goes on their printer.
