The start-up takes 35 minutes after updates on April 9, 2013 (windows XP pro 32-bit)
After you have installed windows XP pro updates on April 9, 2013 (or there abouts) my computer takes about 35 minutes to start (a 5 minutes before). During this time the CPU doesn't work between 0% - 1%. After about 35 minutes the CPU begins to work as usual. When to use system restore to go back to April 8, 2013 (IE before updates) the boot time goes back to normal. Starting time is normal when I boot in safe mode. I checked for viruses, etc. using malwarebytes and security: basic concepts and my system is clean. I also did chkdsk/r.
How can I fix?
Hello
you have a report from trusteer installed on your computer?
If so I suggest you try to uninstall it, reboot and see if it solves the problem.
You see I've had exactly the same problems and symptoms on my windows xp machine after windows April updated as you describe. It took me 6 days to find out, but uninstalling report seemed to solve the problem. (Report uninstallation was after installing the updates of windows, by the way).
In fact to confirm it was the value I then installed the new version of the report and got exactly the same symptoms of slow start again. Uninstalling report once more, turn the computer back to normal.
so if you have reports uninstall it and see what happens, this is my opinion and I hope it helps.
I contacted trusteer on this matter today, but they have not yet answer.

I replaced XP with Windows 7 Pro.
I got it somehow to run again by turning off the number of items (e.g., Bluetooth, card NETWORK, etc) in the BIOS Setup. After I completed the update of Windows, I'll re - activate the items one by one.
I appreciate the prompt response.

Can not access the updates after clean install of Windows 7 Pro
I have formatted my hard drive digital, preformed a clean install of Windows 7 Pro. Everything went well and OS seems to be properly authenticated.
The question is not able to 'find' updates. At startup, the message: NEW UPDATES AVAILABLE. When I check the updates, the process runs "forever" and never completes the process. The problem would be to my use of Office 2003? I have installed for messaging and Outlook calendar. Here's the MGADiag.exe diagnostic tests.

You can reset the Windows Update components by running the Fixit on this page. But if there is malware present, she will continue to reset the connection to the update servers:
How to reset the Windows Update components
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/971058
Suggest you download and save the Fixit. Then configure the system before the clean boot by running:
How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista/Windows 7
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135
Once the Fixit has been downloaded and the system is started in the pure State, check that the native Windows Firewall is now on if a 3rd party firewall has been used previously. Now run the Fixit and choose the default mode. Restart once it's done and see if the system can be connected to the update servers. If he can't, then rerun the Fixit and choose aggressive mode. Turn it back on when he finished the race and updates.
I suggest before you stop and install the updates, disconnect from the Internet, first.
I also recommend that download you and install Service Pack 3 for Office 2003, then look for updates in the Help menu.

Outlook 2007 very slow after the last updated 15/12/2010 fo Windows 7 Pro
I downloaded the 14 updates (15/12/2011) and 2 were for Outlook and 2 for Microsoft Office. When I try and load a MS Office 2007 program, it takes about 10 to 15 seconds. When I try and load MS Outlook it takes about 10-15 seconds, but when I try to go to Inbox to a different folder or calendar or Contacts it takes 20 to 25 seconds before anything appears. This happens just after I downloaded the latest updates. It was beautiful before.
Need help!
Thank you
It worked after I deleted the update you mentioned above:
My OS is Windows 7 Pro
Anti Virus is AVG 2011 - and Outlook works perfectly with it before the update
I have 3 email accounts and all are POP 3. Both sbcglobal.net and Go Daddy 1
The add-in mentioned by you ' COM Addin for Microsoft Office Outlook (mine shows that hotmail) Connector ' is always in the center of the confidentiality and Outlook works
Hope this helps and thank you very much for your help and your quick response

need to update from XP home to Windows 7 Pro and do not want to lose the software I loaded
Original title:
Fusion on Mac
I need to move from XP home to Windows 7 Pro on the side of the merger of my Mac. I have 3 computers I have to do this on. Then I load the full version and not lose the software I have on the side of the fusion of windows or do I have to use the upgrade. If I lose the software I have loaded I have to buy it again.
I'm sorry for there is no way to upgrade Windows XP to Windows 7 that can keep your installed programs. By using the full path or upgrade doesn't make no difference in this regard.

Bootcamp/windows 10 Pro installation process fails
Machine: MacBook Pro (retina, 150inch, Mid2015)
El Capitan, 10.11.4
Processor 2.8 GHz 16 GB Mem
New MacBook with an instance of Time Machine saved from previous MacBook Pro
Trying to install fresh Windows 10 Pro 64-bit image on a new 130GB partition created by Bootcamp.
- I ran bootcamp.
- Bootcamp Assistant downloads the drivers Windows and 'medium '.
- Bootcamp Assistant creates the disk partition, and then switches to Windows (no need USB), Windows.iso image is very good by Bootcamp.
- "Windows Setup" starts its thing.
- Screen 1: I am asked to confirm the installation, and accept the license.
- Screen 2: I enter my license key Pro 10 MS Windows in the form of xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx
- Screen 3: not below, program installing Windows says "no images available.
The Windows Installer will not leave here, and I interpret that as he cannot locate a disk image for installation of.
I searched these forums a bit to find answers. I tried to copy the file Windows.iso on an external USB drive and that the selection as the source image and even the achievement of results as shown above.
I looked at the menu "Actions" in the Bootcamp Assistant and that the only available element is 'Download Support Windows software' or something similar. I did and saved a folder on my Mac desktop, but it is nothing new.
I have reset the PRAM with Cmnd-Option-P-R and the MSC with the Shift-command-Option-Power button. Once again nothing.
Between each attempt, I'm in the Bootcamp Assistant and remove the Windows Partition of my drive.
If anyone knows why the Windows Installer cannot find the ISO file or what steps I must take to install Windows Pro 10, I should be grateful if you would hear about it.
Thank you.
Followed, after contact Apple support, by sending in diagnosis and return just GENERALS of Apple engineers... I did a thorough cleaning of my PowerBook. Using the command-R during restart, started in Recovery Mode or what it's called, used the disk utility, wiped and formatted the drive. Made a new fresh install of OS X el Capitan. Updated. THEN, I installed Windows with BootCamp Assistant. The process worked. My hunch is that use Time Machine to power my new machine was the culprit. I am betting that Time Machine copied on the parameters of my previous machine (a mid-2011 Powerbook), on this new Powerbook from 2015. That's the only difference. So it is now resolved.

Trying to update Win 7 HP for Windows 7 Pro - at any time to update does not accept my product key
Bought two Win & Home Premium & W7 Pro to Sam W7HP is OEM, W7Pro upgrade (a cardboard hanger). Have installed W7HP and works well. Update at any time does not accept my Key Prd. Key to sting has 25 characters + -01 at the end. I can enter 25 characters (with auto-add dashes) but when I try to enter the - 01 it won't take. Present the key without the - 01 returns a valid product key error. Tried 3 times and checked my typing with each. Would appreciate any help.

Update Windows XP Pro/Adobe Reader fail/error 1601
Problem started with the pop-up box 'Windows Installer' TrayApp.msi, ScannerCopy.msi, error 1601. Computer works fine, the printer works fine. Adobe Reader update installation failure. Worried about the security updates. Set to "automatic updates" everyday. Printer installation has been done since the HP Web site. Can you help me? English plain please. Not a developer.
English plain please.
"Plain English", specifically including complete sentences, is also useful when you ask questions. You must also specify the version of Windows you have, including the Service Pack (click right my computer and select Properties, if you do not know).
Whatever your printer works well has to do with the errors that you see? If there is a problem with your printer, please include the brand (HP, I guess) and the model.
When this popup error happens (that is, which causes the error)?
Was the message itself, that you have received 'Windows install is not accessible. Installation cannot continue because the Windows Installer is accessible. Error 1601 "code?
If this is the error message you received, then:
Open a command prompt window (start > run > cmd > OK).
In the black command prompt window, type the following lines and press ENTER after each linemsiexec /unreg
msiexec/regserver
outputYou shouldn't really have to restart the computer here, but do it anyway.
Do whatever it is that caused the error message. Things work now?
If you want to install Adobe Reader, the current version is here: http://get.adobe.com/reader/ don't forget to uncheck the box to install McAfee Security Scan Plus. You can be happier, however, with the software free FoxIt Reader, an application that is much less inflated to read pdf files.

Lenovo T430s 2355A 16
Here's my problem.
Preinstall Windows 7-> Recovery media creadted-> upgraded to Windows 8-> Windows.old folder have been deleted-> trying to downgrade to Windows 7 using Recovery-> failed to retrieve media!
Are there other ways that I could go back to Windows 7? All I have is the engraved on DVD recovery media.
Good day and welcome to the community.
As you mention that you created the recovery media and it fails to restore your system with Win7 preload delivered, I would recommend that you contact the Service, let them know that your created set failed to work and ask that they provide you with a set of factory recovery DVDs. The details are below.
Hope that helps you get things sorted.
Kind regards.
