I have s similar or the same problem that happened before on this forum, however the answers have not solved the problem. I can re - start the computer by using comments presuppose that I can connect to the computer from safe mode. I can't. It just goes back on the same loop. I tried the last known good configuration and that brings me to the loop immediately. In April, I noticed the same problem of a user. The Guy didn't come back to report on the success or not of the solution. I tried all the suggestions, but I can't get out of the loop and in any form of safe mode. F8 F2 & F11 give me the guests who in turn put me straight to square.
How do to this problem and find the correct computer?
    Thanks in advance.

I would recommend a repair Installation, because you can't get into your computer.
If this does not work, you will need to perform a new installation.

    Repair facility:

You can reinstall your copy of Vista while keeping your files, settings and programs by performing a repair install or an upgrade on the spot with the following steps: (Note: this does not always solve all the problems, especially if the corruption was caused by a 3rd party program or service, you may need to do a clean install) If this is not successful)

    <><><><><><><><><><><><>

Please make sure that you backup all the important data before you continue. Please see: methods for backing up your files.

Always make sure that you have the means to reinstall your programs, or by an installation disc or access to the installation files.

    <><><><><><><><><><><><>

    1. Insert the Windows installation disc in your computer's DVD or CD drive. You must start Windows installation while running your existing version of Windows.

    2. on the Install Windows page, click install now.

    3. on the get updates for installation page, we recommend getting the latest updates to help ensure a successful installation and to help protect your computer against security threats. You will need an Internet connection to get the installation updates.

    4. on the Type your product key for activation , we strongly recommend that you type your 25-character product key in order to avoid problems during activation.

    5. on the page Please read the terms of the license , if you accept the license terms, click I accept the terms of the license.

    6. to the which type of installation you want? page, click upgrade to begin the upgrade. You can see a compatibility report.

    7 follow the instructions.

Note : If your installation disc doesn't include SP1, and you are updated, then you must uninstall it before proceeding with an update install. Start-> Control Panel-> programs-> see installed updates, then select Service Pack for Microsoft Windows and click on Uninstall.

Note: Tit the following settings is reset by default:

    Its computer system

    Device drivers

    Visual effects

    Windows Mail

    Windows services

If you notice missing files after the upgrade, look in the following folders:

    C:\Windows.old

    C:\$INPLACE.~TR

    C:\$WINDOWS.~Q

These files can be eliminated with disk cleanup as "records destroyed by upgrade to Windows".

  • Update loop

Help, please. I have vista and a windows automatic update is a loop. I am really computer illiterate. can someone explain to me what to do in easy words.

I don't have the original vista disc such that it has been preloaded on laptop when I got it.

I have 3 drives that I need to have copied when I got my laptop. the latter I called recovery of 1, 2 and FIPS appdrv 1. I don't know what they are for.

    Help, please.

    lilyg01,
Please give us some details about your problem.  You say you have 'an update loop' so what exactly do you mean by that?  Are you getting the same update presented whenever you start or it is actually trying to install an update every time that you start?  This error message do you receive?  What is the update you get?

If you are able to boot to your desktop, you can try this: reset Windows Update components

Now, you also have a hardware problem.

Most portable computers have a DVD player; especially if they have Vista preinstalled.

I suggest that you get your repaired/replaced DVD drive, or check the manual of your laptop to see if your card motherboard/Bios support boot from USB.

    Hello

Windows Update is a free way to help keep your PC safe and running smoothly. Windows Update do not affect the performance of the computer, this problem can be caused by a third-party application or corruption in the .net Framework as all updates are associated with .net Framework.

    Method 1:

Try to install the updates in the clean boot state and check if that helps.

I recommend you perform the clean boot.

Put your boot system helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem. If so, you need to maybe contact the manufacturer of the program for updates or uninstall and reinstall the program.

    Note:

After troubleshooting, be sure to set the computer to start as usual as mentioned in step 7 in the above article.

  • WIN8-update - loop

I have a Sony VAIO, that I've recently returned to factory with Windows 8 as my operating system. (The story: I have problems with Win10 I could not resolve so I started on.) As expected, my computer began to go through a series of updates whenever I have it prompted to shutdown or restart. The last time that happened that he ran into a kind of 'Update loop'. It restarts and comes eventually to update blue screen where it says "configuring Windows updates", but he never went from 72 percent before it restarts the computer again. He did this for several hours now (exactly 7 hours). I can't seem to stop, and he has not moved beyond 72%.

Things that I tried after reading several Microsoft supported the Articles/items:

    1. the startup in the BIOS using F-8, F-12, Maj, Maj + F-8, F-12

    2. stop the update process: by pressing the delete key, escape key, Shift + X, Windows key + X / C,.

None of them have done anything... He keeps just reboot.

    Thoughts?

Thanks for your replies MN. I managed to get out of the loop of reboot and will implement your suggestions that I update it.

  • Windows 8 fail to update loop

I restarted my asus computer and he started to be updated, then it restarted and when it went into windows again it says fail to restart, returning any changes... after that it reset again and under the logo asus it know updated... when it ends, it goes into windows and the same fail to restart back changes appear... so after that, it restarts again... and so on... He did this for at least 20 minutes now... What do I do?

I managed to fix it... what I've done, that's when it restarts... Press F8 F9 F10 F11 F12, I don't really know which is the one that leads to the resolution of the problem, so just press it all haha. Once you're in it go into advanced options and go to that which his lower left... I think it says fix sytem or something like that... You will be asked for your user password (if you don't leave the field blank), then it will fix it... If all goes well

the advantage of this feature to scan https is at least questionable. in order to make it work, avast has sort of a man-in-the-middle 'attack' in order to access the contents of the encrypted connection (firefox supports a feature called pinning of key which can be used by Web sites to address these MITM attacks and who also seems to pick up interference from AVAST).
When you download files via a https connection, they will be analysed by the AV software once they land on your hard drive in any case. However, it should be the job of the Navigator to make it impossible to get infected by malicious software trying to surf around...

Edit: Please try to restart the browser once again, it may take a new session for the change to take effect.

Now that I've updated to El Capitan, my Brother DCP will not work and I can't find a driver update. Everyone finds something?

Here are the current models of Brother products which are supported.

    http://support.brother.com/g/s/ID/OS/Macintosh.html

If your model is supported drivers will be on this page. Otherwise, contact the manufacturer and see if they have a driver for your printer from specific model for this OS. Otherwise, you may need to downgrade to a previous operating system from a backup Time Machine or a downgrade for compatibility, if it is not offered by the brother of your device to model on a computer running OS 10.11.

Apparently not all printers DCP mind are compatible, but most that were compatible with the OS 10.10.x always conform to their page.
