Win Vista update loop

My computer is stuck on windows update 3 with a continuous loop. Computer not start in any safe mode or respond to restore the last known good configuation. Repair your computer will produce all the restore points. I tried to install the vista installation disc, but the computer seems to ignore the drive and return to the update loop 3. The screen with the endless loop will be turned on for a short period and then stop and restart and return to the same screen and windows update 3 loop. Nothing seems to work.

    problem with the configuration of updates on windows vista - endless loop - no way out

    Restore point:

    http://www.howtogeek.com/HOWTO/Windows-Vista/using-Windows-Vista-system-restore/

    Do Safe Mode system restore, if it is impossible to do in Normal Mode.

    Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.

    Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...

    Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

    Read the above for a very good graph shows how backward more than 5 days in the System Restore Points by checking the correct box.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    If the system or Mode restore safe work not and you do not have a Microsoft Vista DVD, make a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:
    Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.
    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.
    When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.
  • !! 0xc0190036! 2665/49693 (Solitaire.exe) following Win Vista error message updated SP1 to SP2.
    Currently, I use Win Vista SP1. Yesterday, I downloaded and installed the Vista Service Pack 2 (SP2) yesterday by following the instructions of WINDOWS UPDATE. I then clicked on restart the computer and my world collapsed...
    This is what happened:
    The PC has begun to restart. A black screen came up with a line of top, showing the different numbers of fast scrolling. Then the line has frozen with the message:! 0xc0190036! 2665/49693 (Solitaire.exe).
    As a user of the computer without any technical knowledge, I tried various things like a hard reset and also using external manufacturer to start Recovery CD. After 7 hours of grief and panick, I managed to get the computer going again to return to the previous version of the software before installation of Vista SP2.
    I hesitate now to install SP2 until microsoft can explain what is happening with this pack sotware and how to avoid this problem doesn't happen again on my pc.
  • Loop of startup repair after vista update on 15-04-09
    .post a {text-decoration: underline ;}}
    Hello
    I hope someone here can help me.  I tried Googling for solutions, but after having tried everything without success, I'm bringing my problem here.
    I had gone through the internet when the program to close unexpectedly.   After trying to restart my laptop Dell 1720 (Windows Vista Home Premium), I went to bed after seeing the stage 2/3 update on the screen. It shows, in the morning, he can not start and gives me the ability to startup repair. After that, it is said that it cannot repair this computer automatically. Details of the problem are the following:
    Startup Repair V2
    AutoFailover
    6.0.6000.16386.6.0.6001.18000
    Bad driver
    WrpRepair
    I tried to restore to previous restore points (all tell me there's a missing file, error code 0 x 80070002), safe mode, last known good configuration and I end up in the same loop of startup repair. I have not installed recent programs, drivers and devices.  I am depressed and want to avoid going back to a factory installation since I've had this laptop for a year and have a ton of files and programs.  Anyone with any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
    ETA: I also run chkdsk (no errors found) and sfc/scannow (Windows Resource Protection cannot run task or something like that).
    In fact, my problem has been able to start Windows Vista after the last update (14/04/09) install.  The error code came when I tried to restore my system to my restore points.  Finally I ended up taking my hd to access my data.  Then I tried to reinstall Vista from Dell provided and had problems reinstall drive to do so (hung up END INSTALLATION).  A call to Dell support had me change some of my BIOS settings and finally managed to get Vista installed.  Now, I'm in the painful process of restoring all my programs and personal data.  This time, I created a partition for the operating system and a separate for all my photos, music, etc. so I don't have this problem of losing all my data the next time the fact once again Vista (and it will be!  I already lived 2 BSOD since reinstalling 2 days ago!)  So, there was no solution to my original post.  Good luck to everyone else who has the same problem with the Vista updates.
Well when I go in the computer properties indicates my ram to 1918 mb made this sound right?   • My computer is stuck in a boot loop indefinitely after downloading the Vista updates.
    original title: I have the same problem posted by Don Gagen on 16 April. My computer is stuck in a boot loop indefinitely after downloading the Vista updates.
    I installed some updates Vista Home Basic important for my laptop on Wednesday, and since then, my computer won't start. I get to the first page of Windows that shows "Configuration updates 0% complete" for about 15 seconds and then restart the machine. This loop continues indefinitely. I spoke to the manufacturer (Dell) who say there have been some recent problems with the update service, and I have to pay (£69) to address this problem. I don't really want to pay for a repair, when the problem does not seem to have been caused by me or my computer. I tried all the options from the start menu, but there seems to be no way to solve this problem, for example, in 'Safe' Mode, the problem persists, and 'Last successful login' does not work either. It will not launch command prompt. I ran Dell diagnostic check before extended initialization and there seems to be nothing wrong with the hardware. I have no disks system of re - install Vista (and that I would lose all my data anyway). I can also access the ID of the license of Vista. The computer is no longer under warranty, and I have no agreement to support hardware or software for it.
    I would be grateful for any suggestion.
