Update of Desktop App Install fails 1002

Hi all

I followed all the advice on the forum and help of the CC... uninstalled and reinstalled, used CC Cleaner full lot... but still no joy in the update of CC Desktop App and I don't have access to any of my software all day. (full day of lost work)

Any advice on getting CC to work again without having to rebuild my macpro (OSX 10.10.5)?

See you soon

Peter

  • CC apps install failed "insufficient disk space".

After a long battle, I finally got the Adobe Creative Cloud installer works on my Mac.

Now every time I try to install an application (any), it fails with this error message "not enough disk space. Free up space on Untitled, and then try again. (30)». ' (30).

I don't need to read answers most useless people who say that the OS disk needs space and 20 GB is not enough to install Photoshop. I have a 240 GB Intel SSD installed and I have more than 50 GB free. That should be enough since I already had installed CS6.

The log file is useful somewhat, I could find is ~ / Library/Logs/AdobeDownload/DLM_Native.log, the error it gives out is: "startDownload: could not start the download." Status DLE is - 1"

Can anyone lead me in the right direction to get this working, if not it kinda a waste of money if I can still use the products.

    -Andrew

So I found the solution, the developers of installer of creative cloud seem to store the files downloaded in/private/tmp and mine was only 256 MB in a virtual disk.

Since I have an SSD, I followed some simple tips to move/tmp and/private/tmp on a RAM disk. After much research, I found another post (http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1235272) who had a solution to my problem.

So to solve the problem of the "not enough disk space on Untitled" I moved (or remove) / System/Library/StartupItems/RamFS to disable the script of RamFS to run at startup (I have not had luck with the command chmod 000).

The ultimate solution to this problem is to get the Adobe developers to modify the program to store temporary software downloads in a suitable location and doesn't depend on the private/tmp / (or Windows without doubt c:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\temp). There should be an option in the preferences panel to choose the location of temporary files in case someone doesn't have a main (or c:\) disk space.

FYI, it's optimizing the page that advised the RamFS: http://blog.alutam.com/2012/04/01/optimizing-macos-x-lion-for-ssd/

I hope this helps someone else out there!

  • CC Desktop App closes during installation?

When you try to install the application of Office CC (v3.8) it gets only 2% of the way through before crashing. It says "Initialization Installer" and then "Download creative cloud Desktop" and then everything closes. Now, I don't have the desktop app anymore and can't install it.

Everything used to work fine, until this morning my CC Desktop App had 'error 1002' then I followed the steps in taking charge and eventually uninstalled the application, then downloaded the last to install again.

I tried a lot of things - restarted a dozen times, quit all Adobe applications, deleted the OOBE, delete the Application Manager, has run the cleanup tool, open my firewall. Always the same problem, it crashes during installation, the right at this point:

    adobe-cc-desktop-app-error.png

Any help is greatly appreciated! Thank you.

    Mac OSX 10.10.5

After trying all known to humanity, I finally fix the problem!

Here's what I did, I hope this can help someone else in a traffic jam:

    > Install a new Application Manager, then run it and let it update itself. It will automatically download and install the latest version of CC Desktop App.

    Here are full instructions:

    1) download and install a new Application Manager

Adobe technical support gave me this link to download a new Application Manager: Adobe - Adobe Application Manager: Macintosh

The app is June 2016 and the site official adobe.com, so that's fine. I did a double-take when I saw a note there saying: "If you were informed of this download, then download the latest CC desktop app", but their meaning is that you probably want to both applications. Feel free to download, but it is probably the same one that hangs on you now.

In any case, download this new Application Manager, start the disk image and run the Setup program.

    (2) run the new application manager

Once you have it installed, go to "/ Applications/Utilities/Adobe Application Manager" folder. You will see that a SWF file and some files in there, but if you go to the folder called "core" you'll see a nice red application called "Adobe Application by" (or just "Adobe Application Manager" If you do not have file name extensions turned on). Launch this application.

    (3) made

Leave the application Manager executed for a minute. It will download updates and install CC Desktop App for you! (Fun fact, if you keep your Utilities folder open, you can see install in real-time).

When this is done, you should have the CC icon in your menu bar. If not, go to "/ Applications/Utilities/Adobe Creative Cloud" and open the "VAC" folder and you will see the application ('creative Cloud.app') you can run.

    You should be in business.

    4) , but if you're still having problems, delete these files and try again:

    / Library/Application Support/Adobe

    ~/Library/application support/Adobe

    / Applications/utilities/Adobe Application Manager

    / Applications/utilities/Adobe Creative Cloud

That's what technology Adobe told me to first, but in hindsight I don't know if it's necessary. I would recommend that you try the fix first with your old files intact, because if you remove all of these files, you will lose your whole subscription CC and re - download and reinstall all applications again from scratch, including all your 3rd - party plug-ins for 3 rd-party Web sites, which is a great pain in the anus If you work in After Effects or bought plugins for Photoshop

In addition, at some point a technician advised me to download some version of the CC Desktop janky App on a non adobe site that didn't look like legitimate, so I wanted a solution that used authentic Adobe products on real sites of Adobe.

    I hope this helps.

  • Update for Windows 8 (KB2822241) fails to install and has the error Code 800703F1

Greetings. My system Windows 8 found a major update, but it cannot install it. The update is called "Update for Windows 8 (KB2822241)." I try to install it and it installs and I see a screen that says:
    ________________________________
Some updates have not been installed.

    Failed: 1 update
    Examine the important updates

    Error (s) found:

Code 800703F1 Windows Update has encountered a problem. Get help with this error
    ________________________________

From there, I have the option to 'Try again', but when I try I always get the same result (error 800703F1). I already tried the Windows Update troubleshooting tool and whenever I run that he finds two problems and offers correct: "Repair Windows Update Database Corruption" and "repair the Windows Update components. I had it apply these patches every time, but the problem persists.

I read about this setting by using the function "sfc/scannow", but oddly, when I try even in an elevated command prompt he also fails. It scans absolutely nothing and says: "Windows Resource Protection could not perform the requested operation."
The 'Windows Modules Installer"service is set to"Manual"and runs, as I read it is necessary.

What is really weird, is that in my list of installed updates, KB2822241 stands as one of the updates already installed with the name of "update for Microsoft Windows" (instead of "update for Windows 8"as one continues to try to install my PC), and when I run the independent for this update installer (I downloaded from the web site of Microsoft to try it) the installation program indicates the update is already installed, and it closes. This gave me the idea that maybe my PC is confusing one update for the other. After all, why he would find KB2822241 as an important update that it needs if it is already installed?

I know that I can normally solve the problem of update and the question of the SFC by resetting or refresh my PC via built-in tools of Windows 8, but I don't want to go through that, unless it's the only solution. System Restore didn't help, but it is an opportunity to reinstall some other updates.

As it is, then, the problems persist: "Update for Windows 8 (KB2822241)" settles "sfc/scannow" cannot perform the operation and not I ask.

For the record, my machine is a 900 Asus EeePC ha with an Intel Atom N270 CPU, 2 GB of RAM, and it is running 32-bit Windows 8.

I'd appreciate any help on this matter. Thank you in advance.

  • When I upgraded to Photoshop CC 2014 2015 CC Photoshop why was a 30 day trial installed instead of an update of the app?

  • Creative Cloud Desktop App does not start after installing Mac OS Yosemite

    Hi all,

I just updated my Mac OS to Yosemite. Now, Creative Cloud Desktop App does not launch and InDesign CC 2014 (10.1.0.71) crashes trying to find the Roman.txt file, I have replaced it with a copy of the TimeMachine when he worked in the Mavericks.

I trashed the caches and reinstalled the same preferences, but it keeps on does not start.

The rest of the applications (with the exception of InDesign and Creative Cloud Desktop app) do not work properly.

  • Why creative Cloud Desktop App invite me to install a program that I already own?

I am a recent subscriber to the cloud creatives photographers program, which includes three programs: Photoshop, Lightroom, and Bridge.  When I run the CC desktop application, the section "Apps installer" presents three programs: CC of Photoshop, Photoshop CC (2014) and bridge.  Lightroom appears under 'Find new applications' with a button that says "install".  But Lightroom is already installed!  Why the CC desktop application does not list Lightroom under "Apps installer" and why the button does not say "update?  I hesitate to press 'Install' unless I'm sure that it is safe to do so.

Details: 64 - bit Windows 7 Home Premium

Creative Cloud Desktop app Version 1.7.1.418

    Lightroom is 5.5

I pressed the button install next to Lightroom.  This installed Lightroom version 5.6 version.  A pleasant surprise: now, Lightroom comes in installed applications.

  • CC Desktop App don't think I installed LR

Putting on my PC today, I was prompted to load the Camera Raw updates I did. For some reason, they were applied through the Adobe Application Manager rather than the CC App... (I thought that CC had replaced MAO)

But now, when I go to the applications tab in the App of the CP it shows Photoshop CC & CC bridge but not Lightroom. LR is reproduced below under 'Find new applications' with the 'Install' box next to him, but it is already installed.

Any ideas why CC do not think that it is installed and how to sort? I don't know that extended CS6 used to appear under Apps installed too.

Edit: Just noticed if I click on 'More information' for Lightroom under 'Find new applications', it takes me to a download page for Lightroom 5.4?  I only have LR5.3. Now very confused

I just pressed the 'Install' button next to the icon of LR, in the list of applications of the CC desktop application. Looks like a common update process. After the installation process, LR will reappear in the list of apps like version 5.4 and fitted with a green check mark as update. Now, it works fine.

  • CC Desktop App does not recognize installed applications

Using Windows 7, I installed CC Desktop App and then installed several applications, including the CC of Photoshop, Lightroom 5, etc. When I was installing everthing the application office acknowledged that it had installed all apps, but since the restart he thinks now that I did not install all the apps, so I don't get updates. The Home tab shows yet when I installed everything but when I click on the applications tab, it says I have not installed anything.

Worked fine on my Macbook Pro, but although the apps I have installed on Windows 7 PC are ok, the CC desktop application does not work correctly.

Thanks for the suggestion. I went and uninstalled Office CC App and just tried to reinstall it at first (before using the cleaning tool). When I reinstalled everything was fine. He acknowledged the apps that I've installed, until...

I changed the preferences in the application of CC Office English International and all of a sudden I had no apps installed again! Back on it in North American English and they reappear! This is a bug.

If you need assistance for updating BIOS (Basic Input Output System), I recommend you contact the manufacturer of your computer to update the BIOS (Basic Input Output System) & check if the problem persists.

Note: Changing the BIOS / chipset can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/chipset can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.

    Hope the helps of information.
