Update of Smartphones blackBerry 9860 OS unlocked (blank media) OS 7.1

Hello

I have BB 9860 with OS v7.0.0.353 and I want to upgrade to OS 7.1. It's unlocked phone and everytime I try to update the OS using Desktop Manager he said "There is no Blackberry Device Software Update"

I'm sure OS7.1 is out and I can use it for my device. Don't know how to do this.

I have read so many forumns and also I tried to remove all the file vendor.xml but nothing helped me to I'll greatly appreicate any help.

OK well this weekend I had time to try this.

First I want to thank KnottyRope for the answer.

The first question - Virgin Mobile Canada isn't 9860 device in the product list, I guess that they do not have this device.

However, I got lucky today I plugged my camera into my computer one another which was never used with device prior to desktop manager and it made my day as soon as the device has been connected, it showed an OS update is available.

So finally, I was able to update the operating system using the new machine.

  • Smartphones blackBerry how to unlock blackberry torch 9800, 9810 tmobile mms, browser & facebook problem solved, but I'll have to reconfigure?

I did a search and could not find the answer, I unlocked my BlackBerry Torch to ProMobileMotion.com which was recommended somewhere on these forums, I used to have a problem with my unlocked Torch before going there, I was not able to receive or send MMS messages or use the browser, after getting the unlock code from this site everything works including facebook FINALLY! My question is, when I go over seas, which I tend to do at least once a year, and I put a new SIM in, I need to reconfigure my settings again? or the browser and mms automatically will work without problem?

You should be perfectly fine as long when you travel abroad you have international Tmobile data plan, or if you insert a foreign carrier SIM in the device, you get a BlackBerry data Plan with this SIM card in time.

  • Update of Smartphones Blackberry blackBerry - backup your App error 603

I recently received an update that requires a backup. I left my phone all night. I woke up and discovered an App error 603. I clicked on reset, and then it restarted the phone. However, it brings back me to the backup of your data to 0% screen. Then a notice of permerssion application comes with Allow or Deny. I try to click on one and it freezes and goes back to the App error 603 reviews. Any help?

Can you try to open Desktop Manager on your PC, by connecting the BB via USB, then by restarting the BB when it is connected?

Desktop Manager must intercept the boot process and ask you an update that can be applied (if it has not yet been applied).

  • Updates to Smartphones blackBerry 8700 4?

    Wow!

First of all thanks to quick help! Secondly, I apologize for being stupid for this! I had an iPhone and got rid of him and now I have an older 8700. A little change! I was wondering if someone could help me determine if the software I currently have is the latest.

For now, I have the Version 4.2.1.96

My phone does very well how it is but I've always loved playing with stuff. I looked for updates and downloads. There's so much!

    Once again, thank you

You don't need Desktop Manager to load the operating system. See the instructions in the link.

You need DM for backup... get version 4.7

    Download Desktop Manager here:

Is it because IM from the Canada? He me assure.246 or w.e, I got is the "updated" version atm. I hear a lot environ.337 and I need it!

Rogers did not official. 337 - Rogers has not released this upgrade.

A thought to another carrier. Operating system device provided are "released" by specific carriers once that they are certified and trained to their support technicians, but still, you are able to load any carrier the same model by following the instructions below.

See the link below for download and simple installation instructions.

Make a backup of your device first, using Desktop Manager > backup. Close the office at the end Manager.

    1. download the OS files to the PC then install on the PC by running (double click) the downloaded file.
    2. go in c:\program files Research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml."
    3. plug in the BB and double-click on "Loader.exe." It is located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file.

  • Torch of BB of Smartphones blackBerry 9860

    Hello

I have a BB 9860 torch as the LCD screen if cracked, I am struggling to know what type of LCD screen I need. Could someone tell me how to find out what type of LCD screen I currently have, so I can get the same one as a replacement?

    Thanks in advance,

    Aaron

I would just buy one from a reputable site.

It should be noted... they seem quite expensive. Make sure you know what you are doing and that the screen is, in fact, the problem. $100 is a big investment in a device.

    one) will work

    (b) is there any setting that I have to attend

    (c) that e-mail is attached to the account or the handset pin

    Thanks isca

The important thing is to make sure that you back up your data with BlackBerry Desktop Software before going forward with the permutation of any phone.  In this way, you can put the data on any phone at will.

If all she wants is phone, calendar and e-mail, she could opt to not get a BlackBerry data plan on his phone.  You don't need a BB data plan to access these features (I'm sure you don't need a special plan for access to civilians, but I stand to be corrected).

If, when she takes over your phone, she doesn't want the email, but here to keep all the rest, wiping the phone would be unnecessary; Perhaps it would be easier to simply delete the e-mail rather than start from scratch account.

I hope that I have answered your questions.  Please let me know if I missed something.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry Desktop Manager shows no Media Manager

First of all, let me say I am a NEW Blackberry user, my husband and I both has recently obtained new Blackberry 8310 curves.

When I installed the disc that came with the phone, the Blackberry Desktop Manager doesn't have the "Media Manager" as one of the choices, as demonstrated on all brochures and tutorials. I even re-installed the program, thinking perhaps it didn't download completely the first time, but he always comes by showing only these 4:

Synchronization, backup & restore, Application Loader and switch device Wizard...

All the indications I have received show that I can easily add pictures and music by simply clicking on Media Manager, but he's not just here.

Here is the info on the installation disc that we received with our phones, supposed to be the good news and the latest versions...

    BlackBerry Desktop Manager

    version 4.3.0.17 (Nov.12, 2007)

Device Communications Blackberry Device mgr... 4.3.0.7

    BBDevMgr... 4.0.0.1

    RIM USB driver... 4.0.0.2

    RIM USB Serial Driver... 2.1.0.4

    Application application Loader loader... 4.3.0.13

    RIMProgram... 1.0.0.35

Seriously, none of them really means a lot to me, I just click on something and make it work...  I tried to 'upgrade' to a newer version, and I got the message that the version I had was the most recent, so now what?

I have cards memory inserted in the phone(s).

I would appreciate any help with this, I am really frustrated. I figured out how to move the files manually, but I don't understand why it is not appear as shown in the manuals of instructions and tutorials online.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry Priv bricks during update MM

    Hello everyone,

As a user of BB for a long time (since the curve 8310 until the Passport), I couldn't resist the temptation and I ended up buying a private AT & T unlocked the B & H store in Manhattan during my vacation.

As soon as I come home in Spain, I started the MM updated procedure with an autoloader, according to the following instructions: http://global.blackberry.com/en/support/smartphones/blackberry-PRIV/reload.html

I downloaded the SW AAF355 version and drivers USB (computer restarts after the installation).

Installation script has detected the Priv in fastboot mode after lowering the volume + key combination of power and apparently started the update, but suddenly the phone restarted with black screen and led flashes between purple and green.

Quick notes: I've updated devices BB10 via autoloader a couple of times and I did the update did not complete successfully using Mac OS (latest version), but I tried tha same procedure from a W7 PC too.

Now, I'm still stuck with black screen and led flashing and computer does not detect the phone more. I tried all combinations of possible keys try to restart the phone but no luck.

So I ask help to members of the community on what can I do to get it fixed, cause I think that the problem of Mayor is I'm in Spain...

    Thanks in advance.

OK, it seems that I finally I could remedy then I'll write the steps that I followed, just in case.

In my case, I was not able to start the phone in following mode fastboot with all combinations of keys, and the computer it has not detected:

    -Low volume + button.

    -High volume + button.

-All buttons pressed at the same time.

But after some trial and error, I pressed the middle (the toddler between flight up and down) button + power button and the phone started in mode 'starting'

The computer detects it and loaded MM autoloader (first attempt get stuck again, but a 2nd went until the end). After that the phone boot up normally.

Thanks to all the members of the BB community and have a nice day!

  • Smartphone blackBerry 8800 to 4.5 update

    Hello

I have a unlocked dated 8800, which has been used in Australia (Telstra). I bought with me in Malawi and put in a SIM Airtel and Subscriber to BB here. Device current s/w is 4.2, and I'm moving to 4.5, but via the website (BB), I get "no updates available". With the help of a freshly downloaded BB Desktop Software, he said a 4.5 Bundle is available, but just after the opening, I get "there was an error in updating your software. Please try again ".

    Can someone help me?

    Thank you

Hello and welcome to the community!

You should try the manual method... from a PC, you can install any compatible OS package (for example, for your BB model exact number) of a BB via this procedure:

Note Although written to "recharge" and the storm, it can be used to upgrade, downgrade or recharge any BB device model - depends on the operating system package you download and install on your PC. You can even use a different OS package carriers simply insert, between steps 1 and 2, the deletion, on your PC, a file named PROVIDER. XML. remember that you remove from your PC, no matter what other packages devices OS BB as having more than one installed on the PC can cause conflicts with this procedure.

If you are on a MAC, you are limited to only your sanctioned carriers OS packages... but can still use any level they currently have to sanction. See this procedure:

  • BlackBerry OS Smartphones Blackberry Bold 9900 software update from version 7.0.0 to version 7.1.0

    HELO everyone

I tried to upgrade my device software Blackberry Bold 9900 version 7.0.0 to version 7.1.0 but with difficulties. I tried to use the Blackberry Desktop Manager, but there was no version 7.1.0 figure among the available updates. Even when I tried to do it directly through the official website of Blackberry, also Version 7.1.0 was not shown. Finally, I tried to do the update with my phone directly by going to: Options > device > software updates.

It shows my Version 7.0.0 Bundle 2406 current and available in a version 7.1.0 Bundle 1149. But when I clicked Perform Update to download the new version, he has shown preparing to download but then displays an error message such as "Download cannot continue because your device cannot connect to the update server using the following methods: Wi - Fi.

During this time, I did not upgrade with a Wi - Fi connection because I have an active blackberry data subscription of 2 GB of my mobile operator.

Please I need help on how to perform the upgrade from version 7.0.0 to version 7.1.0 with the last packet.

Thanks to you all I'm waiting for your helpful solution.

Hello and welcome to the community!

The easiest way is, on a PC (you can not do on MAC):

    (1) make sure that you have a current backup and your BB complete... you can find the instructions at the link in my auto-sig below.

    2) uninstall all the BB OS packages from your PC,

    (3) make sure you have the BB Desktop Software already installed

    (4) download and install on your computer, the BB OS package you want:

    • If all you want are the levels of BONE, it is first sorted by carrier - the carrier supports, your search will be fast. However, some carriers are much slower than others to release updates. To really get the package up-to-date OS for your BB, you need to dig through and find all businesses that support your specific model BB and then compare the BONE levels they support.

    5) remove all copies of the SELLER on your PC. XML... There will be at least one and maybe 2, and they will be located in the same way or to (it changes based on your version of Windows) these files:

    • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
    • C:\Users\(your Windows username) \AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML

6 (a) to change your level of BB OS installed (at level or lower), you can run the Desktop software and connect your BB... the software should offer the operating system package you have installed on your PC.

6 (b) or, for recharging your BB OS level installed as well to change, work around the Desktop software and use the CHARGER. EXE directly, through step 2 in this process:

If, during the process of 6a or 6 b, your BB has an error '507', simply unplug the USB of the BB cord and reinsert it. do nothing else... This should allow the installation to continue.

If you are on a MAC, you are limited to only your sanctioned carriers OS packages... but can still use any level they currently have to sanction. See this procedure:
