Update of the USB-TC01 Firmware

I have a USB-TC01, and whenever I try to use it on my Windows 8 tablet it gives error-201168, with the text of 'Possible reason' doing this:

"Firmware for this device is too old.

Update the firmware for this device. »

I get this error when you use LabVIEW 2011 so while trying to run the automatic test within MAX.  The unit currently has firmware version 1.0.0f1, and I found a page (https://decibel.ni.com/content/groups/tc01/blog/2011/05/23/ni-usb-tc01-101-firmware-update-now-avail... , indicating that he has a 1.0.1 version available, but ideally the download link no longer works.)  This unit works great on my Office Windows 7 in the Office last week, but now that I'm in the area I can't make it work.  I don't remember what version of NOR-DAQmx, I'm running on my desktop, but my Tablet has NEITHER-DAQmx 14.5, and I noticed that the only versions of DAQmx listed are 9.1 thanks to 9.9.  I can't imagine they took the features of future versions, but none of this makes no sense to me.

Any suggestions?

Edit: It seems that 14.5 DAQmx always supports the tc01s after checking the hardware compatibility list, so I don't know why the more recent editions are not listed on the download page for the driver for the tc01.  And it does not help my situation, where I assume that new versions of DAQmx will require an update of the firmware available to work with the tc01s.

Hello Macraw83,

In fact, updated the firmware of the device and DAQmx 14.5 and later version will seek this newer firmware.

You can download the utily to update the firmware of your NI USB-TC01 from the following link:

Hi, I had this problem for a while, when the automatic updates try and do updates and they always fail. It of as if he's trying to access some parts of my computer and not private if it fails. In all likelihood, you are infected with malware.

    You need an Antivirus.

It works just not by mistake, or you have not installed?

If you have not installed, why don't download you and install Microsoft Security Essentials, which is free, or the free version of Avast Antivirus to keep your camera protected?

  • USB-TC01 gives error-201165 "firmware for this device is too recent.

Not sure where else to this post, but the USB-TC01 DAQmx uses, so maybe someone recognizes this.

I plug it to the USB port and it lists very well.  It runs the application very well canned.

But when I try to take data under DAQmx 9.1.5 I get this curious message, as well as boards "Downgrade of firmware for this device" I don't want to do that.

EDIT: I see that the firmware of the device is 1.1.0f 1

The specifications of the USB-TC01 don't say what version of DAQmx is necessary, although 9.1.1 supports the device.

I tried on XP and Win7 with the same result.

    TIA

I guess that "ancient" is relative.  Budget and LV9 story of me and I have to stay on the DAQmx version.  But NEITHER finally took me in his Web and it's time for an upgrade.  A trial version of new LV and 9.9 DAQmx solved, of course.  I just wish that error message had been less weird.  At least, it is here for someone else could find an answer, no matter how obvious.

  • PC now does not see files on the rocket after firmware update

Until I updated the firmware to v01.02.31P, whenever I plugged my rocket to my PC (Windows XP), it was considered to be a separate drive (e.g., F in Windows Explorer - "Devices with removable storage" and I had no problem using drag & drop, delete files, etc. and download podcasts on Web sites.) Since I've updated the firmware, every time that the rocket is connected to the PC it is now considered rather camera phone in Explorer Windows in 'My Computer' with internal and external memory card uSD

However, all my existing music files are not 'seen' - for example i.e. the files are now shown as empty, even if the 'properties' of the internal memory shows significant used space and Windows Explorer can't see the files I put on the "rocket".

Anyone can help getting Windows to 'see' my music files, or is it possible to roll back the firmware.

    Thank you

The firmware update reset the USB MTP mode or detection automatic (it was before MSC mode). Files transferred in a mode are 'invisible' to your computer when it is connected to the other mode, as you have discovered.

Just go to settings > USB Mode and she return to MSC if you prefer the way things were before.

  • Application of specification USB-TC01 for clarification

    Dear people,

We want to clarify a few accurate data on the temperature measurements using the USB-TC01 + thermocouple type J.

We're just not sure how to use the specifications given to predict the available precision (and resolution) in the following scenario:

the housing of the sensor is placed with the wire of type J in a laboratory room, and the room temperature may vary between 20 and 25 Celsius degrees. What is the available accuracy and resolution in this case (since comp. cold welding circuit is "in the room")?

Furthermore, we need to measure the temperature in our experience with Celsius at least 0.05 accuracy and the same resolution.

If USB-TC01 is not able to meet our needs, you can recommend a product OR different?

    Thank you very much!

Standard thermocouple are usually accurate to only a few degrees, what are the specifications of your J proposed type?

EDIT: I suggest to use a platinum RTD with 4-wire as the topology of the sensor connection.

  • USB-9171 installs as USB Flash Firmware Updater

I just got a USB-9171 with 9401 module.  Try to install it on a laptop Dell Vostro 64 bit WIndows 7. LabVIEW 8.5.1, which works very well with a USB-6212 for awhile is already installed.  I installed the 9.6 NOR-DAQmx that came with the new 9171 and the time of execution of Labview 2012 such as recommended by the Update Manager.  The connection of the USB-6212 he loaded the driver, he recognized in MAX and will work as before.  But plug it in the USB-9171, identifies the driver loaded by Windows as USB Flash Firmware Updater.  The 9171 does not appear in MAX.

How can I get the USB-9171 driver appropriate to load?

    Thanks - Steve

Found a solution by calling the service tech.

    Unplug the USB device.

With the help of MAX, go to tools > reset Configuration data.  This will erase the MAX configuration and restart.

MAX aperture.  Open the Windows Device Manager.

    Plug the device.

In the beginning, I received the ball from Windows saying that it successfully installed USB Flash Firmware Updater.  But then on hold while the window updated Device Manager (it flashed several times), he said the right device (cDAQ-9171) as well as the module I connected on the cDAQ-9171, which is a 9401.

The tech service rep explained that there is a service called Windows device charger OR who must load the appropriate driver, but sometimes the service may stop too soon.

In any case, I tried all the things here before, but what was different this time was seen both MAX and the windows Device Manager open at the same time before connecting the unit (after wiping of the configuration).

  • Firmware of switching of NOR-DAQmx Base on Linux to the USB-6221

Our Windows machines are locked - even as developers, we without administrator privileges.  Which is updated from the impossible firmware via the Windows Device Manager.  On the other hand, we have total control on our Linux machines.

Is it possible to download and check out the images of the firmware on Linux?  In particular, I need to move a USB-6221 to NOR-DAQmx Base.  I couldn't find all the instructions to do this on Linux.

    wlbaker

I had a moment of complete Dyslexics your first post - powered external USB DAQ playback devices (USB-622 x, USB-625 x USB-628 x) are not supported under Linux (by DAQmx 8.0.1 or DAQmx Base 3.3), while DAQ USB (USB-621 x) bus-powered devices are supported by only DAQmx Base. The Readme files for the two drivers list the devices on which they based [1] [2].

The USB-6212 case is the closest to the USB-6221 match, although if you don't have extenstive digital i/o in your application, the USB-6211 housing would also be a good fit.

  • Sansa C250 v2 (01.01.05P). microSDHC? update to the latest firmware? Linux questions.

    People of greetings,

just got my refurbished Sansa C250 2 GB. Back to v2. Parameters a 01.01.05P for the version number.

I read somewhere on these forums that even if v2's back, it does not mean necessarily that the player is actually v2. Is this true? How can I tell what version it is?

So should I upgrade to the latest firmware and which?

I plan to buy either a 4 or 8 GB card microSDHC. Advice please.

Anyone who has used linux to update firmware and for all other operations or would I have to use windows?

    Thank you

    Prasad

Well, since nobody answered my questions, I will answer them myself.

As has been said on this forum and others (http://www.anythingbutipod.com/forum/showthread.php?t=24680), this is the version of the firmware that you use to know the version of your player. Mine is v1. I think another, or should I say a sure way would try to penetrate into the first partition (or the partition to install the firmware) - If your drive is v1, it would be to put your player mode waiting (moved to the rec and orange shows on the left button) press and hold the rec button and plug it into a computer should appear the partition of 16 MB. V2 has a different key sequence.

Since it is highly recommended to upgrade to the latest firmware, I upgraded to 01.01.00P which, by version number appears a downgrade, but it is what is here to... He did bring back the USB menu however.

Since then, I could install Rockbox (http://forums.sandisk.com/sansa/board/message?board.id=c200&thread.id=3396), I'll go ahead and buy a 8 GB microSDHC card. Will post here when I get it to let you know if it worked or not. I think that should be. This post helped me decide to go ahead and buy it: http://www.anythingbutipod.com/forum/showthread.php?t=35302.

I used two Fedora-7 and live CD Fedora-9 (on USB) - no problem.

just something I did - I took a return of my entire 2 GB (after formatting the partition of 2 GB to get rid pictures and music that came on the player). used dd if = / dev/sdc. gzip - c > sansaC250. Also saved the first (16 MB) partition dd if = / dev/sdc1. gzip - c > sansaC250part1. I just thought I might be able to use it if I bricked my drive when rockboxing it. I don't know if restore partitions (or the entire disk) is unbrick it at all. Happy had to use it.

    Take advantage of...

  • Filling of the memory-how firmware update to get rid?

Hello! I have 2 GB Sansa clip. Before the update, I had 12 albums and 2 language lessons with room for more information. I installed the update and it took all the memory. I know only have 5 1/2 albums and its maxed out. How can I empty this update and return to the original setting? I much prefer to have the room as this update. Thanks in advance for your help.

When you updated the USB mode recover.  Re-set-the mode you were using before, under settings, the USB Mode.

Not sure what filled the storage.  What you could do is to transfer your music to your computer; reformat under settings of the item; and then transfer your music from back.  That should resolve the issues.

To return to a previous firmware, re - apply just that package - see the sticky thread at the top of the forum firmware.  And here's a repository for earlier firmwares: http://www.anythingbutipod.com/forum/showthread.php?t=22669.

  • USB disabled after the update of the Sierra (a short circuit and a work)

Hi, when I bought my mbp 13 inches mid2012 (used, not new) I noticed that a USB port did not work. In the Yosemite sometimes I noticed that a USB port consumed too much energy and have been disabled. (I think because the usb port has been short-circuited. A few days ago, I updated for Sierra but only usb which used to work stopped working. It has enabled and turned on but Finder and disk utility does not see the drive. In an Apple dealer they said that could be established relationships with some oxide and next week will take it and see what the problem is.
