Update of Windows Media Center electronic Program Guide only to July 22, 2015.

Electronic Program Guide (EPG of my Windows 7 Media Center PC) ceased to be updated since July 15, 2015. I manually download updated guide to day and it confirms that the download was successful, but the guide has information up to the part of July 22. No information is passed to 20:00 on 22 July.

This is a temporary problem or should there be a fix for Windows Update?

Thank you!

Same thing I had, but this fixed it for me.  Run the installation of media center and set up the new TV signal.  Takes a little everything and some channels is different, but the guide whole is back.  Not sure if I need to reprogram my recordings again.  I hope this works for everyone!

I have two Windows Media Center computers, what can I use to record TV shows that both units could not update the EPG.  The info Guide indicates that she stopped at 20:00 on April 8, 2013 the Pacific time zone.  I tried to download several times without success on computers.  Walked through the configuration for the Windows Media Center thought something could have been wrong with it but no luck there either.  All other functions of computers works, IE... internet access, television and recording etc... Just TV ads all say "No Data available".

  • My program guide lists refuse to update in Windows Media Center on Windows 7

Original title - Windows Media Center

Can someone tell me please how to open a bug with Microsoft for Windows Media Center?  My program guide lists refuse to update and I know I'm not the only one with this problem.

    Thank you.

My problem started on his return from holiday. During my absence, there was a storm and a loss of power. All my computers and the router stop. When I rebooted, Windows wanted to install updates. I believe that these updates began the problem where my TV Guide schedule was empty.

Efforts to download the latest guide ads has not solved the problem. This was the case even if WMC has indicated that the download was successful.  Finally, I chose the TASKS menu/settings/TV/TV signal/Scan for multiple channels. I think scanning for more channels was the last choice. It could have been 'Intensity of the aerial for digital TV Signal'

Anyway, the WMC scanned for all available channels, I get through a digital TV antenna and the USB receiver. Once the process is complete, the calendar is also worked.

Go figure. I'm still working through other non - WMC created the Windows Update issues.

    I hope this helps.

  • EPG not updated for Windows Media Center

I am a resident in the United Kingdom and am using Windows Media Center on a computer running XP.  It works well, but the guide lists does not update beyond March 21, 2014 as the EPG contract expires March 22. Microsoft will renew the contract and I'll still be able to use Media Center when support for XP is completely over? I also note that my computer Windows 7 also shows the contract of the EPG as due to expire March 27, 2014.

Its fixed now... go in windows media center and download the latest guide ads...

  • Windows Media Center lost information Guide for some channels, but it is still on zap2it

Why Windows Media Center (WMC) is no longer a information Guide for some channels, when she used to have?  WMC uses the information from zap2it.com and zap2it.com still has the elements of programming for these channels.  The Guide has "No data available" for all the hours for these channels.  For Los Angeles area broadcast, channels of first importance are 40.2 by 40.5 (40.1 is very good, as evidenced by the correct include titles and descriptions).

  • Is there a better Windows Media Center Live TV Guide that I can download/use?

I have a Hauppauge WinTV-HVR 950 Q hooked up to Windows Vista Home Premium.  I don't like the WMC - TV Guide.  Is there anything else I can use with this set up?

    Hi Liljools,

    2. you remember to make changes to the computer before this problem?

  • Windows Media Center is not in the list of all programs - Vista Home Premium

Hi, I can't find Windows Media Center on my computer - I have Windows Vista Home Premium.

I try to use my TV on my computer. It has a built-in TV Tuner. But I can't find Media Center.

I know when I got the computer last year - it came with something to activate the TV - but I have no internet at this point - so nothing could be done. Since then, I've upgraded to Service Pack 2. All the documentation said that Media Center should be there. I've looked everywhere and Media Center does not appear to be more!

Can you please help - if I don't now how can I access the Media Center.

    Thanks in advance.

    Julie

Thanks for this, before I saw this, I worked on how to solve this problem.

First, I downloaded the cumulative update for Windows Media Center-still nothing.

Then I peeked my Control Panel/Default Programs/Set Program Access and Computer Defaults.

My settings were now on the custom, and default media player - tick on "Enable access to this program" next to Windows Media Center had been removed! (of course by another media program)-I reticked this box and as if by magic, the program appeared in all programs and was now visible to the rest of the computer. "

This setting should make it invisible to the rest of the computer - he of course does not use if it is checked.

(I also found once I ticked the box next to Windows Media Player (who had also disappeared, even if it was marked as a media player by default) - he also appeared in the all programs list- and he had never been there before!) I know because I had to go and insert my link on the desktop to access it.

All sorted - what a huge relief. Just as it takes.

  • Windows Media Center - audio problem on recorded TV

My PC (Vista Home Premium) is connected to a widescreen TV with a HDMI cable and antenna lead.  Since we had in 07 big sound worked to record TV Live hi-def with Media Center and play on TV.  Suddenly, probably due to the recent update of windows Media Center, the audiocassette see the TV does not work.  It must be a software bug in Media Center because I can watch internet programming on the TV and the audio works fine.  Even Media Center sounds play fine.  Also the TV recorded see fine audio playback on the PC monitor, the only problem is on the TV. Does anyone have this problem or any idea of a solution?

    Hi Jwphl,

Try to change volume settings and see if that fixes the problem.

    1. double-click on the icon of volume control main windows in the taskbar

2 options-> properties > look for the choice of the mixer device.

    3. Select your tuner > check all boxes

    4 ok

If this does not work, try the system restore and then install the updates manually one by one.

When I try to install Windows Media Player from the Microsoft website I gives me an error saying I need to download "Update cumulative 2 for Windows XP Media Center Edition".
