• How can I keep an iPhoto library, update on two Macs without copying the entire library every time?

  Sorry if this has been asked several times before, I looked but could not find an answer to my specific questions...

  Currently, I keep my iPhoto on two different Macs library by periodically copy the package to the main computer entire iPhoto library to an external hard drive, then loading into iPhoto on the second machine.

  The problem is that it takes a lot of time and I find myself doing less, which means that I am often without recent photos I want to join the second Mac. Is there a way to copy only the new pictures/videos added since the last copy was made on the hard drive, which I can then add to the library on the second machine without replacing the entire library?

  I was wondering if it was possible to use the software of incremental backup to backup on the external drive that I could then use to update the second mac. In this case would be that I have to replace the entire library on the second mac every time, but at least it would be a faster process that also copy entire library since the first mac in the first place.

  Yes, you can use an incremental backup or clone (like Carbon Copy clone or SuperDuper) program for updating the second library - this will not libraries merge in order to not do that is you make changes to the second library on this machine - it only makes library 2 exactly as 1 library each time that you run

  Hi, a few days I've updated Garageband for Mac. Assume that coming up with 2600 apple loops and allows for live lines to use.

  After the update, Apple Loops the loop browser said I don't have that approximately 1900 ++ loops. Where are the loops? Not sure I missed all the steps.

  Have you downloaded the new loops and sounds using the command from the menu bar main GarageBand ' GarageBand > SoundLibrary > download all sounds available?

• Impossible to update firmware on mac mini without CD

  I'm unable to update firmware on mac mini without cd-rom.

  I tried to burn iso image to USB via disk utility, but folowwing error:

  "Unable to validate the source - invalid argument.

  Can you provide iso correct or dmg that can be used with the mac disk utility as seems that I don't have a way to upgrade the ssd firmware now?

  P.S. I tried unetbootin on win and mac, tried to copy the iso contents with dd in terminal but mac still do not see my USB stick on the charge.

  I have two Macs at home - an iMac and a MacBook Pro.  I also have a ReadyNAS device, which acts as a time for both Machine.

  I've updated the iMac to macOS Sierra.  The upgrade went smoothly, no error reported.  However, once it was up, I found that the iMac has questions is authenticating with the ReadyNAS via AFP (and / or he would authenticate, then delete the connection) and also not able to connect to the service of Time Machine on the ReadyNAS device.

  To be sure it wasn't the ReadyNAS, I went to my MBP - it still works under OS X 10.11 and shows all the problems.  AFP shares are accessible without problem, and Time Machine works as expected.

  Has nothing changed with Time Machine or AFP protocols under macOS Sierra, which could cause this?

  AFP is not used by Sierra. Try using SMB instead, if your NAS supports. Or contact the technical support of the manufacturer for assistance.

  Problems after update 10.11.6 - system preferences will not open the shutters, can't seem to find any application that opens - reports of damaged applications, including disk utility, console, etc. Reboot and shutdown / reboot erase it. Are here looking for reports - problem seems not universal. Successful update on my MacBook Pro, but my Mac Pro seems today in a desperate situation. The road to recovery and the re-glazed OS X. 10.11.6 was installed. Still no joy. Application folder shows only a naked little and not Apple applications. Cannot open the panes of system preferences. Secure boot does not end. Material OK - can start a clone (CCC) successfully in just a few days ago. Could do a restore (from Time Machine BU), but it's a last resort. Looking for others facing similar challenges and their success to solve the problems.

  PROBLEM SOLVED! and I feel so stupid, but maybe this will help others. I had downloaded Firefox 36.0 and it was in my applications folder, BUT I kept clicking on the old icon Firefox so still grown 16.0. All this time and I just needed to get out the new icon on the dock and remove the old. Thanks for those who have tried to help me.
