  For the second question, it is not recommended. It will probably cause some problems with AA 9 and part 9 will not work correctly. You should probably update to XI or just deal with AA 9. If nothing else, when you remove the XI, it will break 9 and a repair will be necessary.

  Where can I find all the updates/patches for Acrobat 8 Pro.  I found up to 8.1.1 and tried to install 8.1.2, but it does not recognize my current version of Acrobat.  So I think there must be another update between the two.  Verification of updates does not work.

  Adobe ceased all support for the conversion of 3D files with the introduction of the family of Acrobat X back in 2010. There was and no other updates of 3D will import feature. The translation engine that used to be in Pro Extended is now sold as a commercial of Tetra4D product, but it is not compatible with Acrobat 9.

  However, PDF Maker plugin wouldn't activate in Outlook, such as Acrobat 9 is not supported with Office 2013.

To do updates manually, go to http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=1&platform=Windows (similar to MAC, but did not specify you the OS), download the most recent to the oldest. The reason for this order is noted with each update of the previous update is necessary. Then install the updates in the order. Just restart after the update.

  I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble.  Please try the following steps after a fresh reboot of your system:

  1. Repair your current installation of Acrobat 9 via help > fix the Installation of Acrobat
  2. Try to update Acrobat via help > check for updates.
  3. If the update fails, try to manually apply the update to Acrobat 9.1 via direct download here: http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4375
  4. Assuming that the update to Acrobat 9.1 successfully installs, please try to continue to update Acrobat up to 9.5 via help > check for updates.

  Please let me know how it goes and if the problem with Outlook brightens as.

• Acrobat 10 Pro 10.1.3 hangs printing in pdf format.

  I am running Windows 7 Home Premium, MS Office 2010. The problem is essentially the same one I had with Acrobat 9 - the attempt to resolve by updating to Acrobat 10 pro + latest version (2,700 SEK price tag) was frustrated.

  Printing from any pdf document of the results in a message "printing to pdf-port" or "port 05" after a printing invites to name the file that results and after that - a silent crash. ". Just nothing happens but other programs can be used as before.

  Try to convert directly from EXCEL/Word also results in an accident, but with the message "Acrotray.exe is buisy - try later" (my rough translation from Finnish). Try to remove startup Acrotray does not solve the problem.

  I found a similar problem in Adobes forums, where the user received notice of updating to 10.1.2 to 10.1.3. The cat-person asked me to call next week, but I can't believe that such a fundamental problem has occurred only once.

  Thanks a lot for your suggestion and basic information! I have re-enabled AcroTray and other programs related to acrobat in msconfig to start and have now checked every opportunity of printing of pdf_printer which previously had led to an accident. Everything works fine, now. (Although I don't know exactly why - I didn't even have to resort to printing files, as suggested. Maybe I had failed in previous attempts to solve the problem)
