Update Windows Service Plan 1

I've updated my computer 32-bit of Windows Vista with Service Pack 1 of Windows.  It seems successful in the history of windows update, BUT does not appear with programs. I can't update my computer without this service plan.  Can anyone help?

Are you sure that SP1 is already installed on your computer

  • Click the button start , right click on computer and then click Properties.

If Service Pack 1 is listed in the section edition Windows SP1 is installed on your computer.

  • Update Windows, stuck at step 3 of 3, does not start

    Hello

Reading the forums, so it seems I'm not the only one who had this problem, but none of the data seems to work for me.

My computer is running slow this morning (as sometimes when he treats a large update), so I restarted.  But now, whenever the system tries to start, it gets insofar as the message 'configuration updated step 3 of 3, 0% ' before it restarts in total.

I am running Windows Vista Home Premium - I think that it is 32-bit, but I'm not positive.  I have a laptop HP Pavilion DV6345us.

I tried all suggested fixes, I found.  I tried to launch the Mode without failure (all versions of it), but every time it's the same thing.  I've never had to simplified office, I think I'm supposed to see.  I tried the system restore, but none of the dozen or so restoration work points.  After each attempt to restore the system, I get this error message: data error (Cyclic Redundancy Check) (0 x 80070017).

My last update was added on 06/05/10 at 09:16:38.  My last update before that was 05/03/10 at 14:31:18.  My time zone is set to GMT - 8:00 (or Pacific time).  Between the Windows updates, I downloaded an update for Java (Java 6 update 20) 04/05/10.

I have also run the memory diagnostic tool, but that has not changed anything.

I do not have any third-party malware or anti-virus software.

This is all the relevant information, I think I can give.  Any comments would be greatly appreciated, because I use my computer for work and need again as soon as POSSIBLE.

    Thank you!

I do not have any third-party malware or anti-virus software.

Once installed the clean, you will have the equivalent of a "new computer" in order to take care of everything on the next page before connecting the machine to the internet or one local network (i.e. other computers) otherwise and before using a flash drive or the SD card that is not brand new, or has not been freshly formatted:

NB: No matter what Norton or McAfee free trial which is preinstalled on the computer when you bought will be reinstalled (but invalid) when Windows is reinstalled. You MUST uninstall the trial for free and download/run the removal tool before installing updates, Windows Service Packs, or updates IE and before installing your new anti-virus application.

If anyone knows what it is, any help to resolve this would be greatly appreciated

Sorry, I forgot to mention that I remove the virus, but he left behind two changes (and maybe more?) The first was disabiling Manager of tasks, which I fixed it after a quick search. The second is all these Stackhash error.

I tried to run the MSRT tool and scan for Vista/Win7, and both do not have...

I have my CD of Vista available, so I can just format and reinstall Windows, as it is similar to the easier and faster way to get my computer on track.

If the malicious software removal tool does not work, I suspect that you have a lot more work to do.

That said, a clean install would probably be the quickest way to return the computer to a State course.

There is a good chance that you see the effects of a hijackware infection!

NB: If you had no installed anti-virus application or subscription has expired * when the machine was first infected * and/or your subscription has expired since and/or machine is not been kept fully patched in Windows Update constantly, don't waste your time with any of the following: Format & reinstall Windows.  A repair install won't help!

Microsoft PCSafety provides users at home (only) with free assistance in dealing with infections by malicious software such as viruses, adware and spyware (including unwanted software).

    Otherwise...

    1. see if you can download/run the MSRT tool manually: http://www.microsoft.com/security/malwareremove/default.mspx

NB: Run the FULL scan, not analysis FAST!  You may need to download the MSRT on an uninfected machine and then transfer the MRT. EXE to the infected machine and rename it to SCAN. EXE before running it.

2A. WinXP-online Windows Live Safety Center scanner 'Protection' (only!) in Mode safe mode with networking, if necessary:http://onecare.live.com/site/en-us/center/howsafe.htm

2B. Vista or Win7-online this scanner instead: http://onecare.live.com/site/en-us/center/whatsnew.htm

    3. now post the logs required in a forum appropriate for support by an expert in the field. DON'T SKIP THIS STEP!

I can recommend the assistance of experts available in these forums: http://spywarehammer.com/simplemachinesforum/index.php?board=10.0, http://www.spywarewarrior.com/viewforum.php?f=5, http://www.dslreports.com/forum/cleanup, http://www.bluetack.co.uk/forums/index.phpand http://aumha.net/viewforum.php?f=30

If these procedures look too complex - and there is no shame in admitting this isn't your cup of tea - take the machine to a local, good reputation and stand-alone computer (that is, not BigBoxStoreUSA or Geek Squad) repair facility.
