  More than the upgrade of the air seems to have issues, whether all connect at the same time or other problems.   Method 1:
  Check the update has been installed and make a note of this update.
  To check, follow these steps:
  a. Click Start, in the search box, type in update
  b. click on windows Update
  c. click view update history
  Note: If this isn't a significant update, you can hide the update.
  To hide an update, follow these steps:
  a. open Windows Update by clicking on the button start. In the search box, type Update, and then in the list of results, click Windows Update.
  b. do one of the following:
  o click the link that tells you important updates are available if you have some updates to hide.
  o click the link that tells you optional updates are available if you have optional updates to hide.
  c. Select hide any update you want to hide, right-click and then click on update. Do this for each update you want to hide.

  • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

  The wireless network card supports the standard WLan miniPCI and the module is removable.
  This means that you can replace with another module wireless network card, BUT there is a question open about BIOS support.

  Of my manufacturers of portable knowledge don't support these hardware upgrades and so detailed information about the supported modules is no more.

  I think you can perform these updates to day but only at your own risk. In the worst cases, the BIOS would not recognize the WLan card or you would not be able to activate the WiFi module using the function keys.

  Page 98 shows you a list of parts. Please order the right part of HP.  And on page 99, the manual explains how to replace.

  Please note: it should update the BIOS before changing equipment. You can check the BIOS under the software section and drivers from the link above.

  Atheros wireless network adapter that your laptop is able to transmit and receive on the band of 2.4 GHz wireless network.

  This is a hardware limitation, so no update driver will correct the situation.

  Why do you want to update the BIOS? I am sure that your laptop does not have an Atom processor. It's a typo.

  I just downloaded updates Microsoft last night and as soon as I restarted, my wireless connection was gone/missing/non-functional.   My problem and query - I had problems to play movies online with only the graphics, freezing and cracking. The CPU usage is just 100%. I have to play the movie in a small window of a lot. This happens randomly and very little work but sometimes there is no problem. I used to play games and the FPS was still very low and sometimes unplayable. It has deteriorated significantly. I would like to update the graphics if possible and I was wondering if someone could tell me if it is?

  Another query apart from this, is that my laptop gets slower with the same start-up and stop, is it easy and advised to reformat? I ever reformatted a computer, but I can follow directions well.

  Hey Chris,

  Unfortunately, you cannot update the graphics card on this laptop. Your best bet is to adjust the settings in the games that you play until you capturing better framerates.

  When you say "reformat", I assume that you want to restore the default settings on the system; to pretend like it was when you bought it. It is advisable to do if you have a lot of programs installed, or having software problems. This will make just as clean as it was when you bought it.

  Just turn off the computer completely (stopped), then put it back in and immediately after pressing the power button, press the F11 key. After a few moments, you should see the System Recovery Manager. Follow the instructions on the screen to reformat and restore to a new State.   I think. Intel 7260AC worked for me on a M6-1000 series laptop and a Dv6-7000 series laptop, both architecture Ivy Bridge. Some portable series j000 TouchSmart Envy 15/17 are still sold with a chip wireless AC (probably the 7260 one). Envy 17 TS and M7 use the same manual and the 7260AC of Intel can run on your laptop because I saw the number of threads that confirms that the 7260AC of Intel works on TS Envy 15/17.
