  I get so irritated by Firefox update notifications interrupting my work process and autmatic on MY computer. So although I consider it an invasion of my privacy and safety.   Even in the best of cases where I could tolerate the choices of a response to "Ask later" which does not carteblanche Firefox ask me in 5 minutes.
  It's particularly irritating for me because I have my computer configured to perform automatic operations that then get sabotaged by these notification settings appearing frequently. I really don't want to have to change the browser because I don't know if others are better.
