B350 BIOS update and installation of the OS
Hello world
Two things, is first of all I can't update of the BIOS for the B350 driver support page. Is it because there is no update?
Second, I need to make changes to our B350s, and this requires a volume for Windows 8.1 license pro so I can upgrade to windows 10 in the next few days, but the B350s does not start on the DVD. I have to say that I can get the computer to boot, but they fail to start 8.1 Windows Installer. I tried to do a DVD and start on the network without success.
I am confused,
Rick
Burned a DVD ISO of the B350 I work on and now I'm able to reinstall. Looks don't like the DVD DVD burned from another computer.

Windows Update and installation issues
Hello all and thanks in advance for your help. I have many problems installing Windows Update as well as the impossibility to install Windows Live Messenger Update. I guess that this combination of problems is native to Windows Installer. I disabled all the antivirus and firewall software. When you try to install Windows Installer 4.5, I get the error message "the following updates were not installed" fix for Windows (KB942288). Displays the update of Windows Event Viewer 'Hotfix for Windows (KB942288)' could not be installed because of an error: 2149842978 "' (command line:""C:\Windows\system32\wusa.exe" "C:\Users\Diana\Documents\Software\Windows Installer\Windows6.0-KB942288-v2-x64.msu" "). What attmepting to install updates, the "Preparing to install" message displays without progressing. When you try to install windows live updates, I get a meesage that interferes with the installation a conflicting application. I rebooted several times and run Windows Installer Cleanup without success. Any help would be greatly appreciated. OS is Vista Ultimate x 64.

Reader: update and installation failed
Hello
First of all, I got a notification to update my drive (it worked perfectly).
The update has failed because of the wrong letter.
(I have Win7 SP1 64-bit)
Then I tried to remove the drive from my computer (to make a new installation later).
Windows does not remove (bad drive letter).
Then I use the command subst H: "C:\". »
The removal process is OK, the drive is no longer on my computer.
I restarted Windows and tried to install the player still = > same problem
Here is the error message (in French)
Adobe Reader Setup error
Wrong drive: H:\ nel at UN user folder. The reader is connection of promotion the of or not is impossible. You can disconnect the drive or reassign the drive letter. For more information, see http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/404/kb404946.html
H:\ was a drive I removed a few months ago, and this disc has been used only for photos & videos, not for programs.
I tried again the command subst (for C:\ and C:\Windows), but I still get the error message
I tried Microsoft FixIt program
Help, please!
You can check the key of HKEY_CURRENT_USER registry Windows files if there is any value there that points to the H: drive?

Satellite Pro M45 overheating after a few updates and installation of new HARD drive
I have a sat pro p4 overheated now. I tried the old hoover and this does not work. The thing is that both fans do not seem to turn on. All this happened after I downloaded some updates to put on a new hard drive, I bought.
Now the fans are not at all turns. My m/b is actually a model of the A45 and I put a 2.0/128/400 CPU inside. The old man who was in it is a 2.4./512/533
It seems that you have changed almost everything on the laptop.
Motherboard, CPU, HARD drive, etc.Believe me; It s not easy to say why fans don t start. How everyone should exactly known what you did on your laptop?
Maybe the card mother doesn t provide the power for the fan or the connection is failing.
Are you sure that the motherboard is ok?Unfortunately, all we can do is to hear from you.
But usually some diagnostic tests are needed to locate the fault. -
It won't install the update when I start the computer again. It always shows that it is available for download.
I tried Microsoft Security to address them, but said he had no problem. Is it my computer problem and is not a problem of update?
Thanks in advance.
Hello
1. you get any error message when you try to install updates?
2 are you able to install some other updates?
3. what version of service pack is installed on your computer?
I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.
Method 1: Try to reset the Windows update components and check to see if the same problem happens: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971058
Method 2 :
Try to put your computer in a clean boot state, and then try to install the updates.
By setting your boot system minimum state helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem.
How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or Windows 7:
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135Note: After the boot minimum troubleshooting step, follow step 7 in the link provided to return the computer to a Normal startup mode.
Method 3: If the problem persists then try to install the updates manually from the link below.
Update for Windows Vista (KB2676562) security: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=29829

Activation problem
I reinstalled Vista (upgrade), when I try to check and enter my product key, it says "only for the upgrade not a clean install. On the activation screen, it shows all telephone support option. Thanks for any help!
This is because a product upgrade key requires a copy of Windows to upgrade. That's why its called an 'upgrade '.
Restore the copy of Windows you improved the first time and then move on to Vista.

Whenever my computer updates and installs KB982110 and KB2272691 my user profile is deleted and I find uninstall? Are these really necessary updates and is it possible to get these updates without user being deleted my profile?
Hi hunneebun,
These mentioned updates are released to fix application compatibility issues. It may or may not be important depending on the types of applications you have installed. However, you can try the following steps and check if they help install the updates without any problem.Step 1:Disable all security software temporarily and try to install the updates.Disable the anti-virus software
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/disable-antivirus-softwareFirewall: Frequently asked questions
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/firewall-frequently-asked-questionsNote: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.Step 2:You can place your computer in a clean boot State and install the standalone updates below.Note: follow step 7 to your computer as usual.Stand alone package.See also:

All Windows updates and all the patches and individual installation on my program
Is someone can you please tell me why every windows update fills up my programs?
I have about 30-40 on my all programs.
Can I remove all?
I don't have this problem on my other pc just this laptop.
Thank you in advance.Hello
It seems that no one is able to answer this question here. If you have 2 possibilities:
-disable the update of windows to avoid an additional installation of new updates and etc...
-go to "Add/Remove Applications" and uncheck the 'Show updates' (or something similar). This box should be at the bottom of this windowOtherwise, you should check out other, more associated microsoft forums, or just google a bit around to find an answer.

I use a laptop HP Pavilion dv4-1220us with Windows Vista Home Premium Service Pack 1, a 64-bit operating system, and I have problems with Windows Update and Windows Installer. When I try to install programs, I get the following, or substantially similar message without the error code:
"Error 1719. The Windows Installer Service could not be accessed. This can occur if Windows Installer is not installed properly. Contact your support team. »
So I tried to download Windows Installer 4.5 and install it. When I try to start the installation, it always hangs on the first step, "Initializing Installation."
After searching for a solution to this problem, I found that Windows Update may have a solution. So I downloaded the 64 bit version and got a file named 'file Windows6. 0-KB942288-v2 - x 64. I tried to run this file. He opened a box that said, in order "Prepare for Installation", "Full Preparation", and finally "Searching for Updates ', before you open a second box, which reads" click OK to install the following Windows software update: fix for Windows (KB942288). I clicked on OK in this box, which opened another box, which says at the top "updates are installed" and in a smaller section, "initializing for Installation................... »
However, no matter how long it works, it never gets past "Setup initialization."... »
So I tried to run Windows Update in Control Panel. He ran for a while, before giving a message saying "to check the updates, you must first install an update for Windows Update." I clicked on the button that says "install now". He has flashed, a moment, "download and installation of updates' before you go to the"check for Updates"and then he brought back the exact same upward ' to check updates, you must first install an update for Windows Update" message as before. I clicked install now once again, only to go into the exact same loop. After about four times in a loop, I gave up on it.
So I tried to install Windows Installer 3.1v2, which took a while before saying "not enough memory is available to process this command." and the abandonment of the installation.
So, I tried to download a program from 'Mr. Fix - it' of Microsoft. It downloaded fine and then failed on installation, because of the same Setup error I received initially.
Finally, I tried to restart my computer and each solution is represented. Then I clean my computer and each solution is represented.
In conclusion, the mistakes that I have in Windows Update and Windows Installer cordoned off each other, as the mistakes of each program are based on the other program to be repaired. I'm at my wit's end here. My computer works fine without one, except that I can't install new programs. I can access the internet fine, access files fine, all my scans have developed own... I don't really know what is happening. Can someone help me with this?
Try the sfc scan:

When I tried following the information in Help and support, the messages are: the network that this information is on can not be found(which is funny, because I'm not on a network), impossible to find the source and the unknown error.
