  • Updates Windows installs - Error 8000FFFF

Whenever I try to install an update through Windows Update, I get the same error: 0x8000FFFF. I tried the solution given here, but these registry values do not exist in my registry so the problem is something else. I was not able to install an important update in a very long time (some updates requiring installation go all the way back for 2009!). Because of this window will let me install Internet Explorer 9 and Security Essentials. Updates only that it allows me to install Silverlight and Microsoft Office updates are, are not as important as the updates of security and whatnot. Any help?

  • Updated Windows 8 stuck at 0 k, 0% downloaded

I tried various methods (bulk update, update both, selective update updates), but am not able to download and install windows updates. I also tried troubleshooting techniques using the tool and using the command prompt to stop and start services, but nothing helped.

There are a total of 60 important updates that are stuck in this State.

Because of this, I am not able to conduct an updated version 8.1 of Windows either, because it is not visible in my store. In fact, I am facing a similar problem with the store, in which updates are not going through and get stuck between the two.

Pointers to tackle this problem would be useful.

Let it run for a few hours. On my laptop that was also new, he remained at 0%, but it was actually to download updates. Many of them are updates frame lying around long. I had this problem on two different computers complete, I guess it's a windows problem.

  • Windows Installer stucks at "preparing to remove...." "whenever trying to uninstall the program

    Hello.

I need help to solve this problem. A few days ago I was installing and uninstalling many programs... and Windows Installer did not show any kind of mistakes either. Now when I try to uninstall a program, it just stucks at 'Preparation delete... '. "and when I click on 'Cancel', nothing happens, so I need to complete the process in the Task Manager.

Windows Installer may be damaged or something, I don't know why it won't uninstall programs more. I tried to uninstall programs, when I click on one of the programs, only a stucks too and I need to cancel the uninstall Microsoft FixIt tool.

I have download some sort of "Revo Uninstaller" it stucks on this one aswell, as no doubt everything is connected to the Windows Installer service.

I tried to restart the service, and then restart the computer, always it stucks. Interesting thing is that he wants to install programs actually but won't uninstall them. Only way to uninstall is to go to their folder and click on one of the executables that suggests to "Uninstall" program. Problem is, that some of these programs have not just in their file and who is right for which I need to uninstall from the control panel.

I'm trying to understand this for two days already, not to do. The only change I made to the system, it's that I have installed the latest graphic driver NVIDIA GeForce customer experience through. Nothing else.

I don't want to reinstall Windows because of this. It's pain the *, and I did not restore point system, so I'll lose everything if I re-install the entire system.

P.S. I'm sorry if I chose the wrong category. I've no idea what Windows should be the problem of mine.

    Hello

Revo is a great little program and works independently of Windows.

Malware related programs have a tendency to not let you uninstall them, no matter what you do.

Read it in conjunction with the rest of the information they give link above.

    Note

If SFC could not fix something, then run the new command to see if it can be able to next time. Sometimes, it can take by running the sfc/scannow command 3 times restart the PC after each time completely fix everything what he is capable of.

If not, then run the Dism/online/Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth command to repair damage to the component store,

    Repair-WindowsImage-online - CheckHealth

    Repair-WindowsImage-online - ScanHealth

    Repair-WindowsImage-online - RestoreHealth

Restart the PC afterwards, and then retry the command sfc/scannow .

If still no, then try using ONE OPTION above to run the command sfc/scannow at the start

If still no, then you could do a Refresh of Windows 8, or run a System Restore using a restore point dated before the wrong file occurred to fix. You may need to repeat doing a restore of the system until you find a restore point that is older that may work.

If not yet, then you can use the steps in the TIP box in the section THREE OPTION to manually replace the files SFC could not fix.

    See you soon.

    Hi sweet desert sky.

You should check the updates at least once a week. Microsoft publishes updates generally important on the second and fourth Tuesday of the month. However, updates could be released at any time.

If you have activated the automatic update, then most security, reliability, and compatibility updates will be downloaded and installed automatically. Many updates, however, are not automatically installed. This includes updates that require you to accept the new terms of use and the optional updates. You will need to go to Windows Update to search for updates that must be installed manually.

    Step 1:

Download and install Windows Update agent

The Windows Update Agent lets you manage the updates will be installed on your computer. The Windows Update Agent works with the Windows Update Web site to provide updates on your computer. The Windows Update Agent also works with servers that are running Microsoft System Management Server and Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) in an enterprise environment.

  • Updated Windows Installer not updates

I am running Windows 7 Home 64.   I am able to search for updates and a list of available updates.  When I try to install them they pretend to be installed but not installed.  I tried the difficulty of updating Windows, but it has not repaired Windows Updater.  How can I solve this problem?

Please consider running Disk Cleanup, "Cleaning Windows Update" option. This operation requires a reboot that you won't be prompted to enter.

Windows Update installs "updated security update for Microsoft XML Core Services 4.0 Service Pack 2 (KB954430) and Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool - June 2011 (KB890830). No matter how many times you download, install and restart the machine, he returned in a few hours and wants to do it again. Any help wopuld be appreciated

Check - history of installed updates (to the left when you open updates) and, most likely, you will see as 'impossible '.
You can download it manually here http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/security.aspx?q=security+update .
Enter the number in the search box and download the auto install package (for your platform) and install it. It usually does.
